Blakey is so articulate for her age, smart and kind. Their bond is clear just from the short moments you share. Once upon a time Beckham didn’t sit up unaided or try to climb the stairs. But now with the love, support and encouragement from you all which is so evident he now can. I believe wholeheartedly that he did talk to her. And I also believe one day he will talk in his own way to you all. You got got this and those two little beauties have the very best parents they could have ❤

My little nonverbal dude said “I love you” so clearly to me once when he was 2 years old, he had never said words prior to that or after that, he is 4.5 years old now. He has RFX7 ND, ASD and presents like CP (his condition is progressive). It was a once in a lifetime kind of moment and my husband caught it on video, it was completely uncoerced and out of the blue, I will cherish it for my entire life. I would take Blakely’s word for it and hold the knowledge that she had that moment with him close to your heart. It is so incredibly special!!

After doing thirty years of home health care, I can assure you that the mystery of children and elderly able to see and speak is real. They are in a pure world where we may not understand, however I've seen miracles and witnessed bizzare moments that puzzled me. That precious little boy is way beyond his years mentally and perhaps we tend to overlook the possibilities, I truly believe he is more aware, capable and a true miracle, beyond our beliefs. Keep praying and believing in God. This little guy was meant to be here for sure! 🙏🏼🩵✌🏻🦋⭐️🧸🌈🌞🦽🏆

My roommate's daughter, husband, granddaughter & 5 yo nonverbal autistic grandson came for a week visit. I collect Lego kits, which he was so intrigued with. I took one down at a time & sat there quietly no matter how long his thorough inspection took. Occasionally, he'd find a small one & I treated it like it was a surprise gift for him. I simply talked to him like he understood everything. The night before they left, as everyone was gathered in the living room, talking & laughing, I shared some gummy bears with my new silent buddy. I said to him, "I really don't like the green ones." He replied, "No, greens not good." The room went silent & everyone was tearing up & getting emotional. I was his first actual conversation! He is 15 now & my BFF, who now talks from sun-up to midnight & can get past ANY parental lock & password! I treasure every moment, but especially our first conversation!❤

I believe that he did talk to her and one day, Beckham will look at that camera and talk to all of us, NO Doubt in my mind! He’s a miracle baby and he will do amazing things. I’ve worked with many children with different disabilities and I always knew and held onto hope that they would beat the odds and many of them did! But I was born 3 1/2 months premature and was in the NICU for 6 months and was given a 50/50 chance of survival, brain bleeds, ventilation, and had to be resuscitated a few times and I survived and beat the odds! So I KNOW miracles are real…..I AM ONE! ❤🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Don't forget that when Beckham starts school he will have speech therapy that will develop tongue positions for sounds. This is slow but so worth it. He will also be introduced to Ipad with pictures. If he touches dog it will say dog. You put in his favorites. PT will help for arm movements. Bubba will have an amazing future❣🙏

I’ve actually recently seen a little guy have a cover on his aac which helped him not accidentally touch the wrong pictures/words. It was like a thick clear plastic with holes cut out (completely custom for his set up) so he could move his hand across it without touching the wrong buttons. Also he did touch the wrong ones sometimes, bit he worked out a way to make sure his parents knew what he wanted. When he found the correct one he would press it repeatedly as if to say, I meant this, this one!

My son was diagnosed with severe autism just before his 2nd birthday. He never watched t.v. Except when the Super Mario commercial came on. The doctors told me that he would probably not have much of a life. Joshua spoke his first word around 3 years old and it was Mario. 36 years later he is a video game programmer at Bethesda here in Montreal and has been living in his own apartment for the last almost 18 years. Josh graduated from university on the Dean’s List. Please believe Blakely because I am hoping and praying for a miracle for Beckham. Doctors don’t know everything. Josh is not the only person that has gone further than doctors ever thought he would. I am hoping, praying and thinking good thoughts for Beckham.

I definitely think that Blakely and Beckham communicate in a way that is unique to them because they are so close. The age gap between my neurotypical younger sister and I is basically the same as Beckham and Blakely and even to this day, it’s like we have our own language. Even though I’m older, she always knew from a young age that I was different and needed help. I was around 3 when I began having seizures and she still remembers the day she felt like something was wrong and she found me in the bathroom seizing. It’s incredible how intuitive kids can be at that age and sometimes they pick up on things that we don’t even realize.

A little bit different. When my daughter ( 3 at the time now 35 ) and I moved into a Flat (apartment) that was built over 200 yrs ago. She kept going on about her friends with these 2 boys. I had to make extra food, If we went to the park they came with her. I would hear her Playing in her room with them. I never ever saw them. When we moved from the Place after a year she never Talked about them again. I believe that yes when children are so young and so innocent they pick up on things.Just like the little boy who woke up in the back of the car and said he was nt asleep he was hugging Jesus. Believe your beautiful Girl.

My eldest grandson has a genetic condition. He was non verbal until his Occupational therapist suggested horse riding to help build up his core strength when he was six. He could only manage a few minutes but you could see how much he loved it. We all were shocked when suddenly he said " Walk on" to the pony. It wasn't a miracle, he didn't suddenly start talking but the door was unlocked to his voice and slowly the words started coming. He is now eleven and his vocabulary is amazing. There are still many words we don't understand but he is talking. His riding has improved so much that he is now cantering. I am sure Beckham will talk more, his understanding of what you are saying is incredible. I don't often come on KZbin so catch up every few weeks. I truly notice the huge changes in him when I do, and how his personality is really emerging. You can really see a cheeky side emerging, he is adorable. I think he did speak to his sister and its the start of many more magical moments xxx

This is a little different, but my great grandfather had dementia very bad. I was very very close with him and my great grandmother. When my first baby was born we were visiting with them. At this point he didn’t remember anyone. I was holding my newborn on my chest. He was in a chair next to me and got up and tripped on my foot and I reached out with one hand to catch him and he grabbed my knees to catch himself. He looked me in the eyes startled and looked at my baby. He looked me back in the eyes and said Brandy I’m so sorry. And right after he said it, I saw his eyes almost glaze over again. He died 6 months later. But, in that moment, he knew me and got to meet my baby. His great great grandson. Aaaannnnnd now I’m crying! It was a special moment that only lasted 10 seconds.

They probably also understand non verbal communication very well. Beckham seems to be going through a strong developmental spurt lately. I bet he did surprise his sister by saying something combined with using his body language . They had a back and forth communication exchange and were able to share more information than before. Now she has never met her uncle Tony as he died many years before she was even conceived this is very special to me because she said that and she was playing with Uncle Tony this hit a sore point in me as I loved my brother. He died from a car accident when he was almost 18 and to know that my daughter talked 28 uncle this is so special and they say the young can actually see the Dead I just know that my brother Tony will always look over my children and may as I've got multiple sclerosis and when I was diagnosed with that when I was 20 I used to talk to him well his spirit anyway because I was so scared of what I was going through so yes small toddler kids have a special ability to talk to the non talking Brothers I believe❤

Not only is it so special that Beckham DID talk to Blakely, but it is also so very special that she was able to communicate and tell you about it Rachel. It’s an experience she could have kept to herself but she passed it along for you to have a special experience as well. I cannot think of a better word to use for this interaction other than special because it is so unique. Not everyone gets to experience something so magical, and I am so happy for you and blakely to have these experiences. Thank you for sharing it with your KZbin family as well for us to cheer your family on but also to spread the joy and surprise of this news. I received some saddening news right before I clicked on this video and hearing about blakely and beckhams special interaction made me smile. Despite our life situations there is still goodness that happens

As a foster mum I had a child that lived with me for three years ‘also with cerebral palsy ‘he was completely non verbal ! When driving the car one day I nearly crashed because out of the Blue he spoke to me from his car seat ! And that was the beginning of one heck of a lot of chatter ! It will come sweetie when the time is right xxxx

Siblings often have a bond that we adults don't understand. If she says, he talked to her, then I would believe her. Blackely is very smart! And I know she must have been so happy about it. And I am so so happy for your family. These two kids make my day ❤️

They may have their own special language like twin talk. Believe her.

I totally 100% believe that Beckham talked to Blakely. When siblings have a close relationship with a non-verbal sibling, it's not unusual for their sibling to understand them first. There are situations where amazing parents still have to rely on siblings to clarify what a previously non-verbal child said due to difficulties with speech. Have you thought about getting a picture-based communication device for Beckham? They are as basic as a communication device can be. The child touches the picture, or you can even get ones that work with eye contact rather than touch, then the communication device says the word. Communication devices open up a whole new world & have even helped children to actually learn to speak themselves over time. I have no doubt that Beckham will speak at least one or two words at a time one day, based on the videos of him saying "Dada" & "Bubba". I believe it will just take him longer to get his muscles to cooperate with him & let him tell you what he wants to tell you. In the meantime, I have seen communication devices work wonders for previously non-verbal children. I highly recommend asking Beckham's school to help you explore this option. I believe Beckham has the words in his mind, but just can't get them out like the rest of us. For context, I've grown up around & worked with people of all ages with all sorts of learning &/or physical disabilities before acquiring disabilities myself & having to switch to go down the health science pathway instead. I have a particular interest in neurological conditions.

Believe her! My two daughters, one of whom is blind, autistic and was non verbal would communicate when we were not in the room. Often my eldest would get into her sisters cot and l would hear them talking away, but as soon as l walked in the room she would stop. My daughter suddenly started talking with strings of words when she was 4. Her words were her own creation but she knew what she meant and her sister always understood what she was saying. Just believe it will happen x❤x

Rach, I believe Blakely. Out of the mouth of babes, as they say. It’s like twins that have their own language. It sounds like babble to everyone, but the two babies fully understand what is being said. Whatever Beckham said, however he said it, Blakely understood him clearly. I have a feeling she will explain it as time goes by, I can’t reason why she hasn’t yet. Maybe it’s all part of the miraculous plan! Be patient, Beckham has only just begun to reveal his full capabilities to the world🥰🌟😇
