Getting a driving licence in Qatar is not as hard as you may think. Like everywhere else, you just need to be prepared before your test. The Q Motor team has included some valuable tips for you which will help you pass your driving test from the first time.
Driving is a thrilling experience for some people, and enjoyable experience for some. Before we list the tips for you, you will need to work on yourself to make driving an enjoyable experience.
Here are the tips which you need to consider prior to your driving test.
1. Dress Appropriately:
Impress your examiner with your best cloths and wear some perfume. make sure your clothes are comfortable though.
2. Don’t Ask too many questions:
Just take instructions from your examiner and follow them with the least amount of questions.
3. Don’t Forget the basics:
Remember to adjust your seat and mirrors before you drive. Also fasten your seat belt
4. Communicate with others in the car:
Ask whether everyone is OK before you drive, and remind them to fasten their seat belts.
5. Stay at a Good Speed:
Drive confidently in a relaxed mood at a good speed (within speed limit of the road). Your examiner will not like it if you drive too slow or too fast.

6. Check Handbrake
Before you start the engine, check the handbrake, and don’t forget to put the car into neutral gear.
7. Entering the Main Road:
Before merging into the main road, check your side mirrors then your blind spot. Not checking the blind spot will result into failing the test.
8. Keep distance between cars:
Keep a safe distance between your car and the car in front of you. Stick to the two second role, meaning that you have to allow two seconds between you and the car in front of you.
9. Changing Lane:
When changing lanes, don’t forget to check mirrors, blind spot, then indicate. Speed up, but stay within the speed limit when you change lanes.
10. T-Junctions:
When entering a main road from a secondary road at a T-junction, wait until the road is clear of cars and pedestrians. Make sure you have enough time to pull out safely at a relaxed pace.

11. Blind Spot:
Don’t miss the blind spot check at any time. you miss it, you fail.
12. Hard Brakes:
Don’t you ever apply hard brakes for no reason. Hard breaking is a direct cause of accidents and examiners hate it.
13. Roundabouts:
Make sure to stay in your lane and to give indicator while exiting the roundabout.
14. U-turn:
Shift to low speed lane after taking U-turn in fast lane from a roundabout.
15. Parking the car:
Always park the car parallel to the road when asked to park by your examiner. Never park in front of any entrance, gates, or access to pavement for disabled pedestrians.
16. On test day:
When your name is called out to go along with the other three candidates and the examiner to the designated car, try not to be the first one. Also, do not mention to the examiner that it is your first attempt, they tend to fail first time candidates.
