Lots oof good ideas. I got mine a year ago and haven't put any electronics in yet. Love the ideas around the gear box. I think that is now my go to idea for the fish finder. The holes you drilled for the wiring, I am very hesitant, but I like what you did.

The whole idea at the start was as few holes in the hull as possible. Now I'm more comfortable with it but just those two holes was a big step for me. Glad you liked the video!

Love the setup! I am very close to purchasing the same kayak. I had a hobie outback for many years but wanted something easier to stand on and rig with gear. How do you like your setup with the Xi3 and how long does your battery last? Just curious because I plan on doing the same setup with the Xi3 motor. I am aslo going to trailer it with a modified jet ski trailer and was curious how you have your bunks setup. Thanks for the great videos!

I just bought the same Kayak but my entire hull is jet black. I am getting the motor guide added to the front and night lights like you show here. I like the idea of the pole in the back. It would be noce to not have spot lock running in a shallow area. I am going to look at those power poles for sure.

They're great. Especially for rivers. When you're in current and need to stop quickly it's a lot easier to drop the pole than to spot lock especially if it's shallow.

Great video! What do you use to strap down your blackpak and battery box?

Nothing. They're both heavy enough that I'm not concerned with them flying out of the box. The unlimited does not have any built in anchor system in the back so I'll be buying bungees and pad eyes to attach both more securely but ultimately if I go completely upside down I'll have much bigger problems than my blackback and battery sinking

Love the build out on your yak. Watch out for those atco plugs tho. They are terrible. Try the Marinco plugs because they won't burn out.

Even with the 60A breakers? They come straight from Nucanoe so I wasn't worried until this comment

You'll eventually want the marinco plugs they'll last a lot longer.

What part of Ohio are you in? Nice set up! The motor guide is definitely on my list of things to get, but for now I have a stern mount motor. What size pvc did you go with for the trailer? 3inch?

I'm in southwest Ohio. I believe it's 3" but I may be wrong

Nice rig. How long does the 100AH battery last? Have you ever worried you could run out? Why get the power pole if you have spot lock? Does it hold your position better? Like holing your yak sideways in place instead of holing a position but the yak roating ? Thanks.

I'm always worried I'll run out of battery but it hasn't happened yet. Realistically I probably havent even been close to running out but I need to get a good lithium tester to know for sure. As for the power pole it's good in a lot of different situations. I got it for my old Jackson and it's such a nice piece to have that I incorporated it into this build. Bed fishing and anchoring in current are two that jump out to me but in extreme winds or very shallow water it's nice to know I don't have to rely on my spot lock to stay still.

Do you keep your unlimited stored on the trailer when not in use? I’m looking into rigging my trailer with the PVC bunks and I’m curious if there is any issues you have noticed with the hulls channels always resting on the PVC?

I have not had any issues with warping. Nucanoe recommends storing it on bunks like that long term

I don't know. That one is specifically made for the unlimited but Id bet Yakgadget has a similar one for the F12

Is this a heavy kayak? I have a native slayer max 12.5 and it’s pretty heavy.

Yeah it's probably 95 lbs with the seat on. Mine is very heavy but unloaded it can be moved with a cart but usually I just launch and load from the trailer

Do you have any problems with the nucanoe plugs? I see a lot of people going with the marinco plugs.

@@xXBBoutdoorsXx can you explain that alittle more. I’m a newbie. Does that just mean the water drains out right away so it doesn’t affect the plugs? I see a lot of people not running scupper plugs and still going with marinco.

@@ryanharrod1155 my mistake. I thought you meant scupper plugs but I see now you meant for the motor. As for the nucanoe plugs they're fine so far. People have said they melt/fry easily but they've been fine for me. I'll probably upgrade at some point this year just out of caution but they've been fine for me so far
