I like the bright natural light from the windows. Nice to see a family of three with four pets living comfortably in an apartment. Nice video of your pup enjoying the grass on the lawn.❤

Natural light is a MUST in any apartment for me. In NYC that can also be very tricky to find so I am so blessed with this apartment. I am happy my tour and perspective was refreshing for you. 💖

Great tour! I lived in Sunnyside Queens for 4 years and loved it. It would be fun to see more videos about NYC. I really miss living there.

TUB CLEANER INFO! Lysol Power toilet bowl cleaner + Bar keeper’s friend powder will clean most anything. (Wear rubber gloves) make paste, cover tub/shower with it, let sit 15 minutes, rub it around with wet rag and watch the dirt come right off when you rinse it.

Decent price for NYC. Try magic eraser sponges for your tub if you haven’t already.

I will give that a try! Thank you. I've never had an Acrylic tub before and it is testing my OCD with it 🤣

Wow! 2 bathrooms! That's more important than a large kitchen and shocker in NYC! Love your apartment! Love your video. One suggestion would be to put the toilet paper on a short step/ shelf to keep off floor just in case it gets wet or something leaks. Just a thought.
@beingemma
@beingemma 4 ай бұрын
I'll look into that. I do keep some stashed not on the floor but because I buy in bulk it has just bene the best place to put them 🤣

What is a commuter train? And how does that compare to the subway? Do only building residents have access to the commuter train.
@beingemma
@beingemma 6 ай бұрын
Great question! A commuter train is usually identified as a train that brings you in from another area of NY. Example Long Island, Jersey, Upstate NY. The subway only runs in 4 boroughs (bronx, queens, manhattan and brooklyn) In terms of a comparison it is typically kept much cleaner, better security, but does run a time schedule. And the frequency depends on time of day and where you are located. Where as subways are typically more frequent and run 24/7 (without construction). Commuter trains after a certain hour will shut down 1-2am and reopen at 5am.

I grew up with a girls bathroom and a guys bathroom. My mom always said men are more dirty on the toilet that is why she put that rule into place.

As in why it became vacant before? My guess is someone moved out of the city all together.

@beingemma

@@kerrinmenard2368 It from a YT perspective, yes because that is what people like to see. But I wanted to show a more lived reality here in NYC. I love watching those videos but when you come here and don't meet those expectations because you don't have the time or funds it can be disheartning. So I wanted to showcase a home that has a kid, 4 pets and a partner living in it.

The fact that tou have 2 doors and 2 bathrooms. I believe that 2 apartments were combined. A studio and a 1 bedroom..

Highly possible though the outer boroughs do tend to have more styles like this versus manhattan.

My god, I kinda understand it's NYC, but that's so little space for $2200. Making the most out of it though, nice.

Not a surprise, this is actually the biggest place I have lived in for this price. But yes, NYC is rough. while I love watching the beautiful penthouses, it's not realistic here. Our family is here so we are slowly transitioning out of the city life. You come here for the experience of the bustle, or have grown up here. Not for the living accommodations unless you are extremely rich🤣
