Girlllllll, we freakin love your vlogs. Your vlogs are sooooooo positive, and, upbeat. Just like Anna Heid vlogs are also. (Love her vlogs.) Oh, and, I have to tell you something. I was having a conversation with a nursing student today. And, I asked her how she liked doing OB. And, she was like. I'm not sure if I like it so far. And, all I was thinking was. You should watch some Ashley Taylor on youtube.

Just finished watching this as I fed my 3 month old baby girl. I’m a first time mom and let me tell you that I am so grateful for my labor and delivery nurse. I’ll forever remember her and have so much love for her. She made my experience amazing. The way you expressed yourself reminded me of her. Please pursue your dream and be THAT nurse that loves what she does and makes it a memorable one for the mother. Wishing you all the best in your future endeavors 💗

I had to come rewatch this video because I had my first OB clinical last Friday. I always thought I wanted to do NICU, and the experience I had with my OB clinical on Friday exceeded my expectations and confirmed that that’s what I do want to do for the rest of my life. You are not being a baby about it because I called my parents crying after my first clinical! It was such an amazing experience and for the family to tell me that I did amazing and they thought I had been doing this for a while already was the icing on the cake🥺 it’s such a rewarding experience and it feels good when you fall in love with your dream❤️

Ps: You're sooo sweet and I've been watching your videos and I've just found this one and want to say CONGRATS SWEETIEEEE OB IS SOOO AMAZING!!!

Hey! I never comment on YT videos but really felt the need to after watching this :) Your passion and emotion towards the OB is honestly so heartwarming.. you will never know how much impact you have; even as a student. I have an 18 month old son and when I had him my student midwife (UK here) was one of the biggest parts of it. I was her third delivery and I hadnt found out the gender, so she asked if she could be the one to tell us when the baby arrived. She was the one to tell me I had a baby boy! I have pictures on my phone of her and my son and afterwards she was the one to clean up all my sheets and help me into the bath. I sent her the biggest box of chocolates when I left. Please know that when your passion radiates from you and you go above and beyond for your patient, it does not matter what position you are or whether your qualified. You will be a big part of that patients journey and they will never forget you or how you made them feel during such a vulnerable time. Hospitals everywhere need more people like you so go for it and remember these moments when your course is making ypu rip ypur hair out..you got this girl ❤❤

You would make such a great L&D nurse! I had my first baby late last October (HALLOWEEN THEMED B-DAY PARTIES--AMIRITE??) and the whole experience is still pretty fresh in my mind. NICU nursing sounds really hard emotionally. I like your idea of saving it for later. I have spoken to a nurse who floats between L&D, PP, and NICU. That sounds pretty intriguing to me!

I haven’t started nursing classes yet as I still have one semester of prerequisites to take. But I want to be either a L&D or NICU nurse so badly and watching you tear up made me emotional. I’m a mom of 5 and have had at least one terrible nurse with all 5 of my deliveries. I want to be the nurse that moms look back on and can tell how much I love my job. This was my first time watching one of your videos, but just from this, I think you’ll be a fantastic nurse

I want to finishing nursing school more than anything, but you know, life gets in the way haha. But anyways, I will never forget the moment I realized I for sure wanted to be a nurse. I was in the room with my sister when she had my niece. She was the first baby in our family, so it was a memorable moment for the whole family. But for me, being there and seeing the nurses that helped her get through this experience was something I will NEVER forget. It also terrified me to have my own child, to the point that I have decided to wait YEARS, LOL. But to be there and see how her nurses helped her and just see the whole thing was so amazing.

It’s my 1st semester of nursing school. I just got back from clinical and my OCD is kicking in, and I’m like “wait did I do that right.” So scary working with people because you never want to harm patients, or become a risk. But a nurse is supervising everything, so that’s what’s comforting me rn. But does that happen to anyone else after clinical, or at least when you were a 1st semester student? Is it just me?! 😖 I worry about patients after I get home, I gotta chill

Hi Ashley! I was just introduced to your channel. I’m so thankful that you’ve made a channel, because it informs me how I want to be a OB as well and I will continue to watch your videos. I’m currently 17 years old and a senior in high school. I do have a question about that process of being a OB. What is the process your taking of becoming a OB? Are we supposed to get a BSN before medical school? Should I request to shadow a OB at 17 when I literally don’t really know anything? How do you get to do OB rotations?
