Luba went offline and I could not get connected to it remotely. I had my dad go check on it and he said the green light wasn't flashing. I asked him to change outlets and see if maybe the outlet just didn't have power but the second outlet he put it in to still didn't make luba start charging, so I assume the AC adapter is dead.
I do make commission from Amazon link clicks :)

I'm sorry for your loss. I appreciate all your videos, and your Reddit stuff, too. Your info has proven very helpful to me.

Luckily Luba wasn't dead like we actually thought I guess you saw the video so you know now It was just human error. We thought the AC adapter went bad but turns out the plug on the house is bad.

I lost communication with my Luba twice and it wouldn't charge or communicate with the docking station... Both times I discovered that a chipmunk chewed through the power wire going out to the docking station. It specifically would eat through it where it goes into the garage. I ended up soldering and heat shrinking it back together both times. The solution was to wrap the wire with steel wool at the point it entered the garage and the little guy never chewed it again.

I also bought the same "garage" from Home Depot that you use. It saved me a lot of hassle and cost over other options. Thanks again!!

Thanks for the videos CrazyPostman. You should link to your extra channel in the description. We had an OG Landroid from Worx. It worked really well up until the warranty expired. Sent it off for repair just before the end of my warranty (like weeks before) but it was the end of the season so it didn't get run time until the next season. It hasn't run since and I'll never run a perimeter wire again. I contemplated getting their vision line last year when they announced it but it never released and the Luba entered the scene. From what I can tell, Luba has a superior product for the same price. I figure once August hits and I'm push mowing my back yard, I'll be ready to drop some money on a new robot mower. Hopefully some of these companies will send you devices to review. If not you've already sold me on Luba but I'm cheap so it's hard to drop $2,000 - $2,500

I would love to see you review the new HOOKII Neomow X when available (the main advantage is that it does not require an RTK system) and to especially compare it to the Luba and Luba 2!

Thanks for the Luba videos! I backed both the Tron and Yuka on Kickstarter. I already have a Luba 5000, but I'm in Florida and the maximum cut height is just too low. I didn't want to spend another $2,800 for a Luba 2, and thought the sweeper on the Yuka might be nice to have. Then I saw the Tron and it looked interesting so I decided to back that too. I figure I'll keep whichever works best for my lawn, and then sell the other two. I am a little concerned about the Tron though.

Yo buddy. I've really enjoyed watching your videos...to the point that I'm really considering picking up a 5000H sometime this year. Here's an idea for you. What if you start doing videos on your maintenance intervals? 50 hours, 100 hours, 150 hours, etc. That is a great way for us to see how the units are holding up at each interval. Shows how long blades can typically last, etc. It may seem repetitive, but I'd sure watch every episode.

Maybe him making maintenance videos will actually motivate him, lol. Kidding. Great video, man.❤

@@RealityTrailers ewww maintenance. My idea of maintenance is letting it run until the razor blades are just a little nubs and then I might get around to replacing them 😂 to be honest I would replace them more often if it was easier I feel like it's always a pain to get them off.

I asked you earlier about my Luba being in the carport and not being able to hook it up a trail from the lawn to the charger. I said it had a clear view of the RAM antenna. You said it has to have a clear view of the satellite. You were correct once I moved it out. Everything was working correctly now I watch this video and you’re going to put Lupa‘s house back, what part of Lupa‘s charger needs to be exposed for the satellites so it can have a house and still connect to the satellites. I was hoping to build a doghouse like one that matched my house with siding and roof so it would be like a carport right next to the real carport, so please give me instructions on what I can do because obviously something needs to be exposed to those GPS satellites

Luba's satellite receiver is on the back top of Luba. If you look close it says do not cover I think. The Luba House can't be made of thick wood, metal or brick. My luba house is plastic, as long as the top is just thin plastic it won't affect GPS.

So just to let you know that I bought the OG Luba strictly because of your videos and real world issues with Luba. Other videos were just review fluff. I consider Luba's design ( 4-wheel drive) superior to the other mower models with front or rear drive only. As far as vision, my Willow(Toadi) mower is blinded by the sun in early morning or sunset. I will be curious if Vision Luba will work better and be able to work flawlessly without a RTK fix. I would be nice if Luba was WIFI and Cellular only ( no Bluetooth) so it could be completely controlled remotely - One location I have is 3 + hours away. Thanks for your videos!!!

Another one I'm kind of interested in the sunseeker. It looks like it's a two-wheel drive front wheel drive mower but it's actually all wheel drive, The rear caster wheel is powered so it helps it turn without the front wheels digging aggressively in the grass. And it has vision and RTK but I can't talk them into sending me one yet.

Excited for Yuka content. Patiently watching videos to make the decision for next season. Yuka seems better suited for my flat .25 acre than Luba.

A crappy John Deere from a big box store would cost 2k and last 10 years max on a property of that size. And you have to spend two hours cutting.

@@Scott-dn1bk we've never had 10 years here. The last Husqvarna we bought I don't even think lasted 4 years before that we've had Craftsman from Sears about every 4 to 5 years. We did have a snapper ride on that had a rear engine that lasted a long time probably 10 years or more

It just seems very small and that's fine a lot of people have small yards but with just one cutting disc I don't think it would work for me personally. If you had a yard of 500 m² it would probably be a great mower. We'll just have to wait and see for some real people in the real world to have it if they ever get it That is

I would have thought you'd get a home-cooked meal out of that drive. But, ok, I can relate, but at least my mom was only about 5 to 7 minutes away from me, so going over to check a computer or to help with something, wasn't a big time sink if it turned out to be as easy a solution as this one was. A funny time back oh at least 15 or so years, she called another son to come over because there was a chirping of sorts happening and neither she nor a visiting friend could figure it out. So he drives over (he's maybe 15 min away), walks into the kitchen where the 2 women are and hears the chirping, and immediately goes to the timer and hits its reset button. Even though they both had looked at it, neither had id'd it as the source. He immediately walks out and drives home. Fun stuff. The lesson is also applicable to computer UPS's - be sure you plug in certain items to the surge instead of the battery or vice-versa depending on what it is (printers - always the surge). I also got a kick out of your 5-figure price. When I worked at a small (less than 110 employees) bank in NYC, I was the system administrator. I could change your password, tweak other things, etc. I used to tell some of the employees (the ones with a sense of humor) hey, you want this done [you know, like without the paperwork], I can be bought. Alas none ever offered, so I never did find out what my price might have been.

Hey Postman, did Luba get rid of the ability to mow stripes at angles? Did they also get rid of ability to start from a percentage of completion when mowing? Fired mine up for the first time in 2024 today and those features seem missing. 😢

Yeah the blade was designed poorly. Hopefully the Tron learned from a lot of their mistakes. That's the danger of getting a Verson1 product.

The water is actually collected from a big barrel that accumulates the guttering water on the other side of the house. It looks sketchy but there's really no splashing or anything going on here, It's just where she stores it.
