My OPINIONS on Royale High… (After Quitting for 3 Years)

Tbh i used to be a RH player but nowdays its lost all its value(?)bc they dont care abt the comunity like there used to be a game or task of some sort and some people were glitching it so they level up faster than other players and most of the times it didnt even let you play it and the devs decided to remove it like litellary 6 months after when most of the people got fed up and quit for DTI..Also they focused on the aesthetic more than the roleplaying and having fun in the game instead (in the camp.4)yh and dont even get me started on how everything is so expensive rn like ma friend farmed for 2 days just so she can buy a bed and a small acc in her dorm like i think the Royale High group needs to kinda wake up and start making some changes on prices etc bc i dont see many ppl playing it as much as they did before and it might end up as the forgoten game

royale high used to targets young audiences for roleplaying, having fun time and all. But now royale high is all about money and spending all your time just to level up. Only getting 300 diamonds for each level for 1 fucking dress that costs 30k, holy? Who the hell has this time to devote their lives into gaming. There are children who simply wants to enjoy the game, not to spend their own money on this.

The problem is this is no longer Barbie's Passion project anymore... It's her job. The game NEEDS to be profitable or else she loses money. It's kinda theorize that it's why she refuses to get a proper Dev Team too... Why pay a competent team that could get content pumped out in weeks with a steady schedule, when you could stick to the good team that works for MONTHS at their own pace, because you have it for free? I miss the old RH so much. When it was actually about having fun. It just sucks that Barbie and her Dev Team only looks at this game with Dollar Signs in their eyes now.

Like we wouldn’t be caring about every second we put into the game if we could actually just.. yk, play? Sets, dorm furniture, and locker decorations that cost so much and still no efficient way to get diamonds?! *PURE GREED!* That’s what happening to Rh. It’s not going to kill the game if Barbie increases the rewards of leveling up, Sunset Island, and give actual efficient ways to get diamonds (JOBS)! I argue the opposite would happen. *The problems that Campus 3 have were always there (lack of permanent gameplay, not free to play friendly). Campus 3 just made those problems more apparent.* The lack of role play and genuine fun from Campus 3 is so disappointing, coming from the same person that made Enchantix and the last two campuses.

the game feels like the whole point is money 😭 they probably lost so much money in the years they were working on campus 3 that they feel the need to make up for it with dolls :/ I can’t tell if it’s js me, but do the items you get from the dolls feel..off???? Like the quality compared to the other items feel weirdd..and there’s multiple toggles for them but they’re pretty useless?? Like, no one wants a GIANT version of the skirt!! All of the charm of RH is gone and it makes me so sad :( the humor, the charm of everything being made with roblox studio (my guess is 70-80% of the school is made in blender now), the role plays and everyone being pretty low levels and just having fun with each other not caring about grinding all day!! I remember I got 100k back when Divina first came out and I got a LOT of stuff with 100K!! It was a huge accomplishment to get 100k back in the day! (god I sound old….”bAck iN mY dAy”) Now you barely get 2 items with 100k ☹️ it’s just sad and disappointing to see how this game has turned out and how money hungry they seem. Yes I feel like they made the game hard to play. I joined and the first thing I was met with was highly saturated colours that made me turn down my brightness. Also not to mention the fact that I didn't know how to do anything after playing for years😊

Not gonna lie but honest opinion, Royale high is becoming boring already, I haven't seen my online friends plays the game anymore after 2024 the game updated. There is no roleplaying, just farming and spending robux on diamonds, the minigames are okay but still not fun as the old Royalehigh, I understand some things got deleted because of copyright, after 4 years I still haven't earn a halo but badges only. The game isn't fun anymore and expensive, no more nostalgia fun.

Back when I used to play RH, it was on my old account [Level 340+ WHICH TOOK YEARS TO EARN WITH NO PASSES BTW] which later got hacked. Even back when I was playing, it all started out so fun like I was OBSESSED with the game, until Halloween came and they dropped the Whimsey Witch set. RH is already an expensive game but 60k for a skirt is EVIL work 😭😭 The worst part is that with 60k [which takes weeks to farm without gamepasses], farming got so much more time consuming because now my only source of income was Sunset Island where people voted unfairly anyway?? When I lost my account and made a new one, I looked at the RH icon and thought, I am not going through all that ALL OVER again

7:45 correction you only need 4 snacks to get to 100% and it will cost over all 100 diamonds when you level up you get 300 do the profit is 200. But it’s not a nessisary task sleeping and hygiene are easier and free

What I do is whenever I have the vending machine snack/drink quests I buy the food but don’t eat it and just put it in my backpack. So now I have just loads of drinks and snacks so whenever my hunger is at 0% I can just eat the snacks in my backpack so I don’t have to buy more xx

my opinion about the whole grinding switching the point of the game being to roleplay that people talk about loads literally everywhere is that people do roleplay, people do want to roleplay and their just scared as they WERE kids at one point but most the audience are teenagers or even young adults and since we've all grown up their all embarrassed to do those 'cringy' long bio names, where their like half demons and animals with magic powers and also we've lost that creative spark of what to think of for a roleplay or how to even continue on a roleplay on what to say literally in campus 2 ive been able to go into a dead chat and ask if anyone wants to roleplay and came out with like a handful of people roleplaying about elements with bullys and principals that lasted for over an hour

their biggest problem is simply not understanding their fanbase. fans have been wanting masculine toggles/ more masc sets and what do they do? remove the masc option for future sets simply because they "didn't feel like modeling them" or "didn't feel like enough of the fanbase appreciated them." they see the popularity of dress to impress and it's popularity for during summer, so you'd think they'd update the FASHION SHOW gamemode that ALSO SUMMER THEMED... but no, they release a beta version of the STILL unfinished school (campus 3) that's just bigger and laggier ("campus 4").... idk who in their team is pitching update ideas but they need to be fired, im sorry.

i've been given so many reasons to not play royale high, but it's an actual addiction at this point. there's no other games like it either, there's astro renaissance and royalty kingdom but they arent finished and are moving pretty slow too. i've been playing royale high since november 2017 and it's just awful atp 😭 haven't won a halo yet. playing for 7 years, still no halo..? i do the fountain almost daily launce is a borderline pea dough with how he talks to his fans. he KNOWS the majority of his stream viewers are young children, but will call them his little puppies/pups. then the fact that if you say anything against what hes saying (even if its simply just criticism), you'll be banned from his streams. the daily login, and the fact there's a badge you can earn for logging in everyday for a full year. miss one day and that progress is all gone, and they will not give you the progress back. old gamepass called "fly on earth" lots of people bought that became useless, and from what i remember no actual reimbursement of any type? the ignoring of bhm, lunar new year, pride, etc. also lack of masculine items, and the twinkification of the male items there are. totally fine with having a non-binary body toggle, but also have a masculine. my ex bf literally quit the game because of this problem. raising money for childhood cancer by having children beg their parents for money for a set, then the devs pocketing most of the money. not to mention how launce was dressed when they did the first donation to st jude when the GoT set first came out? like. you're an adult. im all for expression, but this was to represent everyone who donated, and you did an awful job man. halfway through october w no halloween stuff, then for the apple bobbing to be limited. (pretty sure this happened either 2022 or 2023) campus 3 updates halted with no explanation, then campus 4 released with barely anything done. like, all that time working on a 4th school you could have been working on campus 3..? barbie afk'ing in roblox studio for over 24 hours to make herself seem active lmao, girl we all know youre lying rn. absolutely no communication with the fanbase. not listening to any ideas or taking any inspiration from us. we are literally what make the game run, we fund your game. without us, there'd be no royale high. yet, they refuse to actually listen or talk to us. that's all i can think of right now ! ill probably think of more and edit as i do.

also, as a masc player i loved making masc outfits all the time until the december 2023 update, they also removed the old dorms and locker courtyard which were my fav realms in campus 3. honestly, i had a feeling it would go down hill after campus 3 came out, it was fun at first but quickly became so underwhelming and grindy, everyone was competitive for levels and inflation was higher than ever.

I started playing royale high in 2017. All the things that made Royale High the great game it used to be are gone. Roleplaying was demolished with the mechanics of farming on campus 3, and the inconsistent updates have hurt the community. Everything they do now and every update is purely for money. I agree with your points. I started back when there was only enchantix high and the farming felt easier because it didn't take me (as a kid) weeks to get a certain item. I have taken a couple breaks throughout the years and keep coming back and getting burnt out farming for what feels like endless amount of hours just to get one piece of a set. I don't have the luxury of staying home and just playing, I have a stable job, university and two cats who rely on my efforts to keep them happy and activated. It feels like a punch to the gut that not only do I have to farm for days to get something, then there is so many beautiful sets that require money or toys that are basically out of regular players reach.

Heyhey! Royale high player here ! I've been a player since 2021 up until roughly start of this year when the new campus finally came out and I have a ton of complaints and overall just experiences I would like to share. I unfortunately wasn't around during the "roleplay era" on royale high but rather more in the "collector dress up game era" if you even want to call it that. I would like to say that especially during the 2021-2023 timeframe was when this game shot up in popularity for its whole trading mechanics system and for the overall aesthetics of the game. I picked up this game to play on roblox during online school to play with a friend I had just made in my online class, and as a beginner it SUCKED. I had to constantly level up, had to constantly get on everyday for the login bonuses and I constantly had to be on the game 24/7 to finally be able to unlock a bunch of stuff such as trading which you unlock at level 75. This game is horrible at keeping a player active in the game until they are able to reach "average player" status and it is really unfriendly to beginners. The reason why I mention the trading system and the whole "average player status" is because up until trading its really difficult to get gems and items in the game. Sure there are events sometimes with accessories and stuff but those aren't as cool as the heels and the skirts the game has to offer in the shop, and they really lack in comparison sometimes. They overall are seen as pretty worthless considering they dont have a remarkable value in game either. Once you reach trading, its a lot easier to build an inventory whether its from profit trading (i.e. trading a lower value item for maybe like 2-3 lower value items) or from buying things in "shops" (i.e. players ask for a certain amount of "diamonds" for certain clothes and accessories in a trade. Diamonds are the main currency for Royale High and those are what players use to buy clothes and the new roleplay gear using.) and overall just being smart and knowing how to get a bargain out of your items lmao. Now as for the methods of levelling up, I will list all the current methods I am aware of. This may be a bit outdated because I haven't been active since the start of like this year. -Levelling up by sleeping (You can level up around 75%-100% of one level by sleeping. Levelling up gives you 300 diamonds, but this is time consuming because you need to be active in the game to actually "lose energy" so you can't exploit it really by sleeping all day.) -Playing sunset island (Sunset island is basically a gamemode similar to the game dress to impress, except you use your inventory items...which can get especially tricky since as I mentioned before you aren't given any starter accessories, nor are you ever given heels or skirts. Maybe a bucket hat or a headband from an Easter event if your lucky. Other than that you have to work for diamonds to actually buy stuff in the shop...which you get mainly from levelling up or exploring campus and collecting diamonds off the floor *yikes* I'll get to the insane prices this game has to offer soon, but for comparison a set of heels could be 50k, and "one" diamond off the floor values like maybe 3-7 diamonds if your even lucky not counting the robux multipliers, which are very pay to win.) -Attending classes at either campus 1, 2 or 3. (Which is basically like having to spend hours on end roleplaying on your own to go to classes) -Quests at campus 3 (Don't know too too much about this one, all I know is that you are given tasks in your journal which if completed reward you with exp/level up material. Very tricky if you don't own any of the stuff they ask you for...especially when your a broke beginner with only 100 diamonds to your name lmao) -Playing musical chairs in the rainy day classroom (very self explanatory, its a minigame within campus 3 you can attend for exp) -Wishing at the fountain (This is a gamble system. Theres really no other way to put it into terms for someone who might not be familiar with the game.) Your given a "story" at the fountain of dreams and you have to pick an option from the four options they give you in order to give you an "ending" to the story. Depending on which option you choose you can get either: Exp, Diamonds, A halo (which is like a super expensive and rare item) nothing or even diamonds taken away. Guess you don't have 100 diamonds to your name anymore, huh? NOW lets say that by some miraculous fate, you are absolutely determined to get to level 75 and you FINALLY manage to do so after hours and hours of spending your time in this game, your motivation being either finally getting those pretty heels for a better price off someone, or a friend wants to trade with you. Either way whatever your motivation is, doesn't matter, congratulations you are now an average player. You've reached unc status. What now? Well most players end up down a rabbit hole I like to call the "trading era". Its a self explanatory title, you spend most your time in the trading hub building up your inventory, getting more diamonds and before you know it you can officially call yourself a moderately rich player. You finally have all those heels you spent so much time longing for as a noob, you finally have all those pretty corsets and bodices and you finally can make decent looking outfits. This is an experience like no other I'm not gonna lie, I fell down this exact rabbit hole myself (I am typing this out from experience anyway) and its pretty dang addicting. I partially think that the reason Royale high had such a boom around 2021-2023 is because of trading and this addictive style. Its satisfying to see your inventory grow, and thats why so many games like to include trading especially on a platform such as roblox. Its addictive and fun. But after a while, you start to burn out. You want new content, you're practically all caught up on months worth of content in terms of in game items you can use for your character, you want something new. This is where events come in play. Events are also self explanatory, they are certain periods of time in the game when certain things are unlockable either in the shop or in the map. Events usually happen around "special" months, those being the months of February, March-April, June-August, October and November-December. If you haven't already assumed they also correlate to special holidays those being: Valentines (February) Spring/St. Patricks day/Easter (March-April) Summertime (June-August) Halloween (October) and lastly Christmas/New Years (November-December) . Players practically waited for these special in game events like crazy, the most popular being the Halloween events, the Valentines events and the Christmas events. During these events three especially "important" things would happen in the game. (PART 1/??)

(PART 2/???) -A new set, everyone looked forward to a new in-game set. A set is basically just an in shop purchasable outfit that came with a skirt/dress, heels, a corset/bodice, hair/head accessory, sleeves and maybe more depending on which set you wish to purchase from whichever event. The whole idea of a set was that all the items in the set matched a cohesive theme and were treated as the "representing piece" of that years ____ event. -New accessories that aren't tied to a set. So maybe some standalone sleeves heels etc... -Minigames/a new map. To really understand why some events were favorites out of the bunch I'm gonna explain what exactly happened during each event. Valentines event: New and improved 'remake' of a map called Divinia park, all decorated nicely for Valentines, as well as a ton of new limited time in shop items every year and topped off with a Black History Month section dedicated to showcasing various art and works from different members of the community. Spring/Easter/St. Patricks day: Very little new items in shop, mainly just returning limited time items, a new "egghunt" minigame where you can collect a couple new accessories every year (gets a bit repetitive with the older players like myself since we already own most the items you can win anyway and really just target the couple new items when the event rolls around) and a "dewdrop showers" minigame in campus 2 where every 10 minutes or so you can collect a free randomized "limited time" accessory which is always the same every year, from my knowledge they haven't added any new items to dewdrop showers, making it once again an issue for returning players. Summertime: Like a limited time set in the shop and a couple items, from what I know they haven't added anything new for a while for this "event" either. Clearly you can see which events are being a bit neglected. Alongside that one year we have a new map with a couple of really lengthy minigames to collect like 5 free permanent accessories which was a nice change. Halloween: MY personal favorite and the most nostalgic for me of the bunch, a brand new "wickery cliffs" map where you can trick or treat to collect "candy" and exchange them for in shop limited time items, a maze where you could solve it to get like some limited time "rare" free item and a badge, a ghost busters themed mansion where you could also collect candy and exchange them for items and lastly an apple bobbing system where you just apple bob and every like 2-3 tries you get candy (also based off luck), as well as a limited time set you can buy with diamonds. Christmas/New Years: Also a nostalgic time of the year, though not as nostalgic as Halloween. We get a new map "Snowglobe summit" which in my genuine opinion is a little but useless since there aren't any minigames in it aside from the daily free advent calender system (which I'll explain in a moment) an advent calendar system where you have to be sent a present from one of your friends on roblox to recieve an item daily (which gets insanely tricky sometimes, like what do you do if you don't have friends or another device to make an alt on?) which could also just be repeat limited time items which sucks honestly but sometimes we do get new items so I won't complain much, a couple of new limited time items in the shop, a new limited time set, and lastly a "New Years map" where you can complete quests for the same "limited time" rewards every year. These limited time rewards are starting to sound less and less limited and more and more time consuming instead... Great, you've listened to my tedtalk up until this point, I'm impressed! Here, have a cookie, actually no have two, you'll need to save the other cookie for this other half of the rant. As you can very much infer based off my giant paragraph explanation, Royale high very much has an issue with new updates to keep old and new players coming, sure they bring the events back but the reason events are fun in the first place is because of the new content being added, but lets just assume that you'll get over it, you're hearing news about some other big patch coming into Royale high soon and you're sure *this* is going to be it. THE update that will finally add a ton of new sets into the game, a ton of new items, new farming methods and new minigames, this will be THE update. Now imagine waiting for this update 2 or even 3 years after being teased relentlessly by the developer team about "how its coming along!" and "were sure it'll be released sometime in the upcoming months!". Yeah that's exactly what happened with the promise of campus 3. The truth is, Royale high wasn't hitting the spot anymore for a bunch of players including myself. Sure we got our limited time events (which sometimes came like a week or two late but that's a whole other rant I'm going to save for a little later) and sure our events were pretty terribly done sometimes as well but we were willing to wait a little, the dev team must be so busy and hardworking to ensure we get an awesome patch next month... or next month... maybe next year? has to be the year after right... Yeesh. 3 years. Campus 3 took 3 years to officially release onto the Roblox platform publicly for players to experience and boy was it a nightmare to wait for, especially older players who are already sick and tired of waiting and have been waiting for the longest time. ESPECIALLY when you keep teasing it on your twitter, maybe a tip for any random developer who comes across this monstrosity of a comment on some silly youtube video, but DONT tease updates to your players unless you are certain it will be coming in the next month or two. Naturally, players were upset with this, especially since developers would always always ALWAYS make some excuse over on their twitter tweeting out something about some "bug glitch" or whatnot and taking literal months to "squash these bugs!" only to make up another excuse that same month as to why you have to disappear off the platform again. Seriously? Just admit the update isn't ready and you are having troubles releasing it! Don't get me started on how half the dev team were literal high schoolers just trying to save up for college by working for the main owner herself, Barbie. (Will continue and finish up this beast of a comment a little later, I'm really tired and as much as I would love to keep going about royale high, what made it so good and so so awful I got like an essay to finish up so...)

ur video has explained it so well! from someone whos played it for so long, i loved the roleplay aspect of the game, and the diamond grinding is also fun! as it makes it so it isn't just roleplay, but nowadays, its just money focused. I've spent robux into this game, on my own accord ofc, but i do agree how unfair it is for people who are new. Sets come out and they are so expensive, and it makes it so hard for people to get things, especially if they are limited. I also feel like all of this buying stuff, has made the community money hungry too. Things are overpriced, and it's so irriating, especially if you are wanting just a small easter item. I also, as much as i get if they want to be female based, thats fine. but to remove sets or change sets that had masc body types to be more slim, and thin. is kinda wrong?? i feel like a size thing should be added. As in: the person can change ones bust, hips, waist, stomach, shoulders, arms, hands, feet, legs, etc. To make it more diverse and not skinny and slim. Especially because it makes many uncomfortable, and actually makes it harder for male or male presenting people to feel welcomed and have an easier time dressing up. also yea!! i do think prices should be lowered, they are so expensive. It's also the same for halos, which i know people say it's because of value. But the amount people do for it is crazy. royale high used to be a roleplaying game for princesses and magical creatures going to high school. now there are NO classes NO roleplaying. the only rewarding part of the game is decorating your dorm but that isn't even simple. take away how you'd have to slave away hours getting the diamonds, you have to pay 1000+ FOR A HEADBOARD!! not even the full bed! and yes, each pillow you have to pay for. there aren't even beginner dorms. it should be marketed as a simulator at this point because it's not a roleplaying game.

I started playing in 2022 and I was really determined to level up and buy items. I loved Campus 2 and my friends and I roleplayed and hung out a lot, even in 2022. But once the Campus 3 came out, I was like so shocked at how you had to LITERALLY PAY FOR A TEXTBOOK OR TOOTHBRUSH! The Campus itself is freaking gorgeous but I was really disappointed when they said they would release all these different phases and never did 😢. When Campus 4 came out I was like, "BUT THEY DIDN'T EVEN FINISH CAMPUS 3 YET?!" I remember a couple months ago, when I stopped playing Royale High for about 3-4 months as I was busy with school and other things. But when I finally came back, the only thing they added to the game in that 3-4 MONTHS, was like 5 new hairs and a VERY PRICY STARLIGHT SET. I then played for a little bit more after that but I knew it was time to stop when they released the toys. WHAT KIND OF TEEN IS GONNA BUY A STUPID TOY FOR 50$? I stopped altogether after that. I still sometimes check on Royale high like every two weeks to see if they got something new but usually all they got is new hair. Where are all those unreleased phases? My friends stopped playing Royale High too after all this. Royale High's problems grew bigger, especially when Dress to Impress released. For one, Dti was super begginer friendly and when I started Royale high in 2022, it wasn't so much. Prices for items were EXTREMELY HIGH, like who was gonna buy ONE pair of shoes for 50,000 diamonds? ME apparently. The game was super addicting and like, you couldn't stop! I'm not an OG but when ever I see Royale high vids made in 2017-2020, I'm just like, "Hey. That looks so fun."

I played this game sense 2019 with the iconic Halloween update in autumn town. Now it’s just upsetting that the devs haven’t finished campus 3 and the sets that are worth for toys is the worst update in royale high history. I honestly hate the new Royale High at the moment. It is so time consuming and you have to have friends to complete most of the quests (?). It’s also annoying that half of the items in the shop now are just N/A because they’re items from toys. Like yes I fully support games making merch, I honestly find it so cool, but making items attached to it just so people feel forced to buy it for said item is not okay. Speaking of the shop, why are most sets over 200k diamonds?!?! It’s so hard to grind for that many diamonds because of them removing the diamonds around campus. I quit for a year (2023) and to be honest when I was playing beforehand (2021-2022), I wasn’t even that active or enjoying the game. But now I’m just constantly playing this game just so I can get diamonds, I don’t even enjoy it either. I just feel like I’m in some simulator game. I also hate how slow the sleeping, showering, “Ow! Poppy I got hurt!” Quest, brushing teeth and hunger go up. I think I stood there for a whole 4 minutes just for my shower to go from 0% to 100% just to not even level up most of the time. I hate the DEVS personally too, especially with the situation that went down with Callmehhaley and Keisho. I also got blocked by one of the DEVS because I asked if they could check my account out for me because it was malfunctioning and that I had no diamonds on my account when I knew fine well I had 300k diamonds at the time. So I had to farm all over again just so I can get back to the amount I had. Honestly I do love the game dearly, I appreciate that they are starting to bring back the Original features of the game (Like roleplaying). I do love the whole new system and how much smoother the game goes now, but I just miss the old Royale High where people weren’t being toxic and trying to scam you constantly. I really do hope they start to listen to the community instead of being money greedy. :(

I started playing Royale High when I was about 9, then took a break for a few years. I decided to come back a couple of weeks ago, and it’s wild how overwhelming, and so difficult the new campuses are for me as a 16-year-old I really wonder how younger players are expected to keep up with all the changes. I started playing again recently after about 2 years and the inflation deal is what I’m most upset about. I actually liked the diamond farming routes because I could watch yt videos at the same time (my brain is rotted). I want the new set, and in total, it’s like 180k for 4 items. This was a lot in 2020 when I was farming for hours every day, and now without the farming routes, it’s difficult to get diamonds. i'm a little late to this but what i absolutely hate is that they stopped paying attention to the masc players. At first, it started off as the new "game-changing" body type. I logged on last week and saw ZERO male toggles in any of the new stuff. As a masc player, this is very upsetting for me and a lot of others. We have no new items, and barely any good hairs! When I first played, my mom took me to the new public library in our city. It was right next to my school. (I believe this was before Covid happened). My older brother was using a library computer so I begged my mom to help me. She and I made a Roblox account together. Of course the most interesting option to me at the time was a fashion game about a princess high school. As the game loaded I was so excited, I spooned onto earth and walked around. Passing me was a player with that skirt long with the butterflies and ruffles on it. At the time that skirt was new and very valuable. It was around 30k to 40k diamonds. I played the game for a long time. I watched the trading hub come out, I learned about halos and item values. I spent well over 200 dollars on this game. Not knowing how screwed up a kids game economy could get. I quit in 2023. The players and developers got greedier. The game lost its purpose, role playing. That was the best part to the ten year old who had a passion for fashion. It’s genuinely sad to watch a game I loved to much die with so much greed and scandal. I remember playing animal jam classic just before the flash player wasn’t supported it was barren. The game was soulless, and catered for players that only traded items and online dated. Royale High is so greedy at this point, to grind is literal torture and so unfun and speaking of textbooks our rooms are completely empty, at least in the campus before this one we already had room that we could change or add to. Also the core thing of royal high was roleplaying, its been a year or two and I haven't seen a single server with people roleplaying.

I’m so upset about this change because I used to play royale high so much with my bestie but after the changes we stopped because it was so grind heavy and it was starting to get to a point where it was either we hang out or get diamonds. Thankfully we are still friends (and forever will be) and just either text each other or play something else.

Ive been a player since like before 2018 and i lovedddd it i was absolutely broke and still i was treated the same as everyone else and rp was common but as soon as they started to neglect the game because "the new school is being worked on" it got hard to stay interested especially when every couple months id see videos like "it might come out soon" it got old like how were they putting so much effort into this school for years and it isnt even done and them getting rid of farming is ridiculous the game is now nothing but a CASH GRAB like how did they do so little updates because they were working on the school when no offense but one of the rooms w the puzzle code yoke looks so BAD like just pink glitter litiraly LOOKS lazy...and basically nothing was finished at all and now these toys?! No way like the greed is so potent like they just used the new school as an excuse to do basically nothing for ages and its sooooo pay to win i recently played and litiraly had to double take at the amount of players because of how much it went down i used to love the game but it's actually nothing but a lazy cashgrab now like seriously id rather play anything else its just a place to sink all ur money into for no reason

I played for so long, got to level 300 in a month, LIVED on royal high and worked hard to get things... and then they overinflate the price of EVERY SET and make diamond farming impossible. They got rid of set diamond locations and for what? To remove exploiters? They failed at that and killed their fanbase instead.

I was playing since the early days of enchantix. Back when there were only six fairy elements. I was such a young kid, and every time there was a new map, I had a BLAST. ESPECIALLY in Campus 2. Rp there was so fun and interesting for my little kid brain, and once the things became more and more expensive, I felt so much more stressed and the fun slowly died. The toys were my last straw, and by then I was already frustrated with the game. It’s kind of sad, its like watching your childhood dog die. RIP Royale High, you were fun, not anymore.

It’s like how some games that are in Beta/Alpha cost like 25 robux to play, because it’s in Beta/Alpha and you’re PAYING for early access, except you’re working your way up to early access instead of buying it.

I started roblox in 20217 then I quit and joined back with a new account 2 years after. In 2019, I mostly play with meep city, adopt me, royal high and same kind of games and I still play adopt me and royal high after their controversy. I don't want to leave my hard earn items that I worked/spent so much time on it. I will miss the old games that I played and now I saw they changed a lot... I think most of the strong veteran fans stopped playing around 3 years ago, lol I remember being so hyped about the new campus and all the leaks, always being excited about new possible sets but at some point I just couldn't play Roblox in general because of technical problems. After months and months of the devs dragging on the "NEW CAMPUS OMG IT'LL BE A TOTAL GAME CHANGER" thing, the excitement was pretty much gone the moment they released it. Trying to play on mobile for the sake of nostalgia was absolute hell for my poor phone, it took and still takes years to load and what makes it worse is that it automatically spawns you in the new campus, not a less laggier map like earth or maybe the apartments, just.. the new campus. I find it really ironic that a game that was originally intended to be winx based, all fantasy like and magical for young children, turned into a more cold and capitalistic (literally) game, to be fair, royale high has always been like that if you start from around 2020, but the game wasn't just about farming and buying stuff, it was about roleplay, talking to or making friends, hell i remember the little self made pageants players used to have back then for the fun of it, now its all money money money, like come on now, I own two gamepasses on royale high, I used to spend all my time grinding and playing royale high, but even for someone like me who was so dedicated to the game originally, I no longer see the point. I used to be so excited for new sets, then I just felt bitter because i knew I wouldn't be able to afford it whenever the next big thing comes, it's insane how the heels began reaching at prices 70k+?!! Like be fr I'll admit I actually did buy the whimsical witch heels that were expensive as hell, but that's just the heels, now the whole set? What is this child labor bro?? Soon after I just felt like these people whenever they finally post a new set, they just blindly spam their number row and set that as the price. I thought you were supposed to be a fantasy game, why are you reminding me of my poverty in a virutal fantasy dress up game??? Royale high was never beginner friendly in the first place, but now its not even veteran friendly bruh. 😭 Roblox crazy now, after all that yapping im going to conclude it with this: its sad to see the game that occupied a very large part of my childhood turn out this way. I remember playing Royale high on lockdown, at first I really liked the game and the different interactions between players (I've never been an roleplayer, but I used to talk with other players about classes and things like that) I liked how people had different sets to create their own character, which made me want to level up and farm diamonds, that's where I started to forgot the reason of why I played it in the first place. I don't say farming is bad, but the mechanics started to get really broken when you had to be 24/7 connected to a game because the new set was limited time and expensive also with the fact that the fastest ways to get diamonds were getting removed or were "reworked" just for it to get more difficult. I can say Royale high was a game were you could have fun while getting money for whatever you wanted to have even as a beginner, but now, new players get bored easily or simply quit because they can't afford to buy gamepasses or stay all day playing to a game. Keep on mind that Roblox is mostly full of kids and teenagers, that means they have to decide between focusing on school or spend a lot of hours for an item, I hope Barbie and other devs listen to their players so they can improve way more than they have over the last years :) (Btw sorry if you can't understand some things, I don't speak English really well)

Honestly I only started playing all the way back in late 2019 then played it a lot 2020-2021 cuz the game was still pretty fun, but a few months ago I played the update with the new school and half the people were being jerks to me because I wasn’t good at most of the activities and stuff, even though that was my first time playing in a long time, the costs for the level ups are insane, ain’t no way someone has 346000 diamonds unless they got money coming out of their hair or something. Honestly half of the old games on Roblox are just not fun or just don’t make sense anymore

The fast paced thing is likelyto be fixed when cammus 4 is fully released, its mostly like mini games and a class schudle again, so people will calm down very quickly within the few months to a year it'll take to get out of alpha.

And I played this since 2018 it was very simple and fun, I loved divina park and the very simple but cute characters but now it’s just wanting to take away your money for items and the whole point of the game now is to save up just to get a set or dorm decorations you want. It’s just super hard to play now and it’s not enjoyable at all anymore.

I agree so much. My largest issue is for sure how expensive everything is. Everything is way. too. freaking. expensive. Dress up items should be to aid in the game experiences, and of course it's fine to work for it. I also understand how hard devs work to create each item, the quality definitely shows, but 80,000 diamonds for boots??? Even if they came up with the most efficient way to farm diamonds, it's still so ridiculous to get something so expensive. You have to plan out stuff you want to get, like this halloween I'm getting this bodice, but I have to wait another year to get the boots, because if I buy that, then all your diamonds will disappear. And then you spend the rest of the event, farming for christmas. Also, I get copyrighted realms, but they got rid of event realms? Those are some of the only old royal high realms that we still had, like snowglobe summit, or wickery cliffs. And they replaced them with useless ones like the beach house and boardwalk. Also the additions to the new campus that I liked the most were gone. The locker courtyard, the old dorms with the pool, etc. Now they're replaced with one main castle's heart, which screams lazy to me. It's like they were only bothered to focus on one locker/dorm/classroom section. Hey Royale high: listen to your freaking players. Like the people who PLAY YOUR GAME? Imagine a world where the devs had a time for requesting, the thing with the most requests get's out to vote between the players, and then they do it. So easy right?

4:33 - There actually is diamonds around the map, just wayyy less, so if before campus three there was “collect diamonds” in your farming routine, you probably can’t do that anymore, there are diamonds in the castle’s heart and also there might be some in diamond beach, but who knows😂

It makes me sad that Royale high has gotten so money hungry. To the point that we have to use real life money to buy toys that we won’t use just to get a virtual item. Or overpricing the sets when they made Diamond farming harder. I never fully quit Royale high because that game has become a core memory for me and uplifted me in so many ways. But the dev team and the route the game is going at is making it easier to just drop everything and move away. Which makes me sad because I know they can do better, but they just choose not to.

2:33 The textbook that you have to buy is for decorating your locker. For the textbook quest, you only need the textbook that’s in your backpack and it’s free. But I do agree that Royale High has become pretty much impossible to play if you aren’t on the grind 24/7 😭 I’ve been playing since 2018 and I’ve fallen out of love with the game because of how much of a chore it feels like now. It’s the same stuff every year it feels like. Same events, a new set if we’re lucky, and maybe a new halo. I do consider myself “rich” in the game, but It’s still so lame and I’ve considered quitting like so many times 😭

I used to play RH in my old account and I wasn't that much high level, I was busy with people talking around and all; but when they released campus 3 with level rewards I barely got any even though I am 1000+ level, making me farm those levels again just to be able to be a "teacher" the "head" of the school and useless stuff, is a waste of time, honestly. The pricess are crazy though, the toys and the this new robux set which if I remember correctly the most expensive price is 2000 robux which is useless bruh.

Yeah no all of this exactly. The items prices being so expensive too. And one of my acquaintances is friends with most if not all the devs and he tried justifying it as toggles being hard to make… which would be fair if it was like the older stuff with toggles where it’s big changes and not just like… “remove bows, make bows bigger” literally anything that’s like a simple movement or adding or removing an item that was already there originally. Like… the fact ANYTHING can be anywhere NEAR 100k is ridiculous. (I keep saying this over and over) if it weren’t for the fact that astro renaissance doesn’t have any like active roleplayers (there’s not many places to work with tbh and the space aesthetic while absolutely stunning is very limiting) I would totally be pointing out how much better it is to farm moonstones and tickets (plus apparently their version of halos that aren’t halos are easier to get I think) also the quests are fun if only the cutscenes weren’t so dang slow lol

One nice thing about RH is how cute the sets look, and it always had been my main priority. But way before this new school, I believe three years prior, I felt the need to farm EVERY time I played RH. It was just drilled into me.. Every time I see a diamond on the street I felt the need to pick it up. It was a bad cycle which caused me to dread even LOGGING into RH, because I knew that the second I join the game , I'd need to start grinding. I spent lots of robux on Royale High for their game passes, new sets, etc which I honestly regretted now that I was a victim of cash grab. To me it hurts, it hurts because a game that is made for roleplaying shouldn't even feel like a chore. Royale high is one of those games you'd need to spend hours on just to accomplish something, but when you do, you'd have no breaks because you'd need to do something else which is why I quitted Sonic Speed Simulator because they released updates every week & although I wanted the sonic skins, I stay up for hours on end grinding for one day only to have to do it all over again the week after. It was exhausting. So bottom line I was just tried of grinding/feeling the urge to do it. It was hard to quit because I loved RH, but I did, and now I'm free.

My sister and i used to play the game back in 2017-2018 A LOT like we used to love roleplaying and making friends in campus 1 then going to enchantix high for fun and farming diamonds, even in campus 2 we liked it and continued playing because there was a bunch of different glitches to cheat the classes😭. But a bit after Earth came out, i think round 2019-2021 we stopped playing, the reason being that there was a sign in front of a cafe saying hiring and they confirmed that they were going to add jobs soon but never did so we fell off the game for a long time because they don't listen to the community and choosing to add more sets and so on. Then when campus 3 came out we liked it, looked around but didn't play as much, we just didn't like certain things like the quest, musical chairs(i suck at it so it took me a long time to complete the quest with coming first place😭) and other things like buying this and that. Only now i just found out how to get the textbooks (I took the ones that were already in there). The only reason i play Royale high now is to do the check in on your laptop then leave, i don't play the game as much as i used to anymore, i wasn't about showing off expensive items and halos, i was just one to play for roleplaying and interacting with people. Now all i do is log in to save diamonds and buy the items that i want. A lot of the friends i made in Royale high haven't been online in roblox for years or don't play Royale high before campus 3 release.
