Nice machine, thanks for posting. I can only imagine that it is very satisfying watching your machine cut. I'm hoping to be there soon.

Great video. I mainly like the concept of making your own brackets and parts for other projects, ...or for another CNC machine.

Hiya Mark, check out this link link below. I've purchased all my parts from openbuilds.com and I believe ooznest. It looks like they have oX kits to! ooznest.co.uk/V-Slot?gclid=Cj0KCQjw3drIBRCOARIsAO-hZCnFh-hkmjv-36smsId_yLYf5NrqwxX4Nohb9cpjMpk82GrYcQ0IhJEaArLvEALw_wcB

Great video! I'm having trouble finding free CAD drawing software. I see in the video that you used Google Sketchup but when I go to their cite it appears they only offer free 30 day trials. I looked into SolidWorks but it is way over priced. Any thoughts on this? I appreciate the help.

Why did you change your spindle motor from a Makita to the Bosch? Jerry
@pump45467 жыл бұрын
jerrypetri ... I originally started with the Bosch but switched to the Performax brand from Manards just because it can reach a lower RPM (10k), and it's cheap :-)

what are your grbl settings? is your build on the openbuilds site?
@pump45468 жыл бұрын
+Chad Walker Hi Chad.. My build is not on the openbuilds site. Unfortunately I have not had much time to post my build there. I am going to be make a updated video to this one as I've made a few minor changes and learned a few things that I think some folks would find helpful. I can certainly pass my grbl settings, if you are on the openbuilds forum just send me a message and I will pass my settings on... I have to verify my current machine setting with what I have recorded.. I think I made a couple minor changes and have not noted them yet :) oops lol ... My user name on OB is The Todd

Just finished my ox, same size as yours. but having trouble with the grbl settings. 750 x 1500 mm . xpro v2 controller board. 24v power supply and grbl panel, (also free). nema 23s all around x-y-z. when homing machine wants to go to back left position. should be front and left? I'm sure this is all calibration problems. any help would be awesome. Thanks
@pump45469 жыл бұрын
northwestone1 Yes, you should be front and left of your table. Their are a couple of different ways to reverse the desired axis. In this case the "Y" needs to be reversed. You can reverse ONE winding pairs, or you can set your "invert mask" ($2=2).. Check out this link for more info... I hope this helps :) github.com/Spark-Concepts/xPRO/wiki/5.-Troubleshooting

thank you, i did fix the problem. i should have been more clear with the problem, i was referring to the homing cycle finding my limit switches on the left side and not the right as they should. all is good for now. next step cal the steps/mm on the stepper motors.Thank you for your assistance i do appreciate any advice as this is all new to me.
