Hey Eric! Teary eyed me salutes you for your service and patriotism. I believe that if every one was a true warrior (which you really sound like) this world would have been the most peaceful place to be. Sadly, it’s only a select few like you and you are therefore our real heroes, real warriors. It’s a whole next level of courage to share your vulnerability in front of the world. Respect. And Fritz! Adorable friend to mankind, we are blessed to have ‘em around for their truly unconditional love. Please give her a scratch behind her ears from me. 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Eric and Fritz. It is with admiration and pride that I write to thank you for this humble and heartfelt message of courage, patriotism, love and acceptance. My daughter is a Navy health care professional at Camp LeJeune and she sent me this link with a note: "You've got to read this. He's one of our MARSOC guys." She proudly "claims" you, Eric, and shares my admiration. Thank you for your testimony. Please give Fritz a scratch behind the ears for me.

I've wondered over the years how you, and many of our other classmates were during/after serving. It's impossible to imagine what you've been through, but not surprising at all that you've worked as hard as you have to get where you are now. I wish you all the best, you truly deserve it.

Thank you Mark I'm well on the road. I agreed to tell my story so the rest of the Marines I served with could hear it and join me on the road. All the best to you.

Wow ~ this really blew me away in a good way. It had so much of what i feel is going on right now with our world - the duality of how we are so capable of the worst and the best of what it means to be Human. It is really a full-circle in healing when we are able to start gleaning the painful lessons that this life style causes. To romanticize war and bring so much "purpose" and "glory" to our men and boys and now even to girls and women; is to set into motion a cause and effect of hate, anger, and bigotry. Humanity is ready to pause and take the next big leap - thanks to the ability to open up and be real with ourselves. Thank you for sharing such a powerful ~ poignant ~ and HEART-FELT story. This is what it means to be real and genuine with each other.
