These ducks are long gone by now more than likely. I think I saw one female in this group. Should be the other way around, or one male to 5-9 females depending on the drakes age and the females brooding patterns.

You can tell the females from the males.... Females have a coral colored bill and males have more of a tan colored bill. Hard to tell in this video but it looks like there are 3 males. The ratio should be 2 females to 1 male.

Scj Johnson is this really true? This the first time I found any comment about that. I been wondering this myself...I have 2 pekins I was given, my guess is they are around 5-6 weeks old now, i e had em for a month. One is definitely got a quack building up, the other still peeps. One has a flesh colored bill looks like my thumbnail to me, the other has a more yellow bill, noticeably different. Anyways, they should be feathered out soon and I should see or not see some drake feathers, just wondering if this theory is true....

How do you tell them apart?
@trollsthatlol15 жыл бұрын
By Quack?
@Siren1000T14 жыл бұрын
The best way to tell is by the sound of the quack they make. Females are louder and have a more clear kind of quacking kind of sound and they usually sound funnier. The Males have a more raspy kind of quack that is usually a deep sound and they are a bit quieter then the females.
