Andre was born with PVL and needs full time care and assistance. PVL (Periventricular leukomalacia) means that Andre needs regular oxygen medication and has caused him to be completely blind. Having never thought he would live to four years old, Andre's mother is doing everything she can to give him the best possible quality of life.

This little boy reminds me so much of my oldest. My baby medically complex and my oldest is 10. He's so very helpful. He feeds the baby through his gtube. He helps with chores and meals. And has the sweetest spirit.

Uuum though I agree with siblings being involved with some care this is way to much. He's only a child. With two adults in the house and one actually there to support maybe mum just needs to reajust her routine. All said what a beautiful family. I wish them the very best.

I don't see a single thing wrong with a child having responsibilityfor the care of his brother . He shows his love this way and he is maturing far better than if he was stuck in front of a computer day in day out ...being a child having a childhood !
