We have 30+ alters in our system. Our host is INFJ, all of our main protectors are ISTJs, and the largest group of us (7 out of those who we managed to get to take it) is ENFPs. We found it absolutely hilarious that our alter, Luke, has the same type as Ed, because since we started watching your videos we've been telling him how much Ed reminds us of him, and he always refuses to believe us. PS: It's nice to see a new video from you guys! :) Meet the Alters part 2 sounds like a lot of fun

Rachel T What a terrible thing to say. Any amount of alters is possible in a system, and while it might be rare it's not impossible and not unheard of. Please don't question other people's disorders over the Internet. You're only making things worse.
@Oliielyosha

Just FYI: 30 is nothing. I know many systems with over 100. The average number of alters in a DID system is about 10-15.
@Kfrench0661
@Kfrench0661 6 жыл бұрын
+baller rabbid I doubt anything bad was meant by Rachel's comment like she's actually questioning the reality of the disorder. I think it is quite difficult, as a person with no alters, to comprehend how a system could remain manageable with many many alters. Just more questions to ask, and more to learn about other human beings : )

CherryPie :D So sorry for such a late response, KZbin never gave me a notification. When it comes to us, the only ones that come out incredibly randomly are 4. Robecca, Gretchen, Xixi, and Zafina. Robecca and Gretchen for no-so-good reasons and results, and Xixi and Zafina because, well, Xixi is a little and Zafina is essentially the parent who helps me the most in terms of understanding, cohabitation, and explaining to others. As for the other 6, it's a lot more rare for them to come out. Though I do try to give them time in the week because they also have wants and needs, so if they take it, they take it. If not, then they can try next time. And if they come out at some random time, I just have to accept it. But in the inside world, Zafina will give them the biggest lecture for being irresponsible.

I’m sure you have learnt more in the two years since you posted this. This is a fascinating disorder in which when a child (at a young age like 4-7) has suffered trauma numerous amounts of time and when they could neither fight or flight their brain has made a way to deal with this. So instead of the brain completing a whole personality, since they could not fight or run it has broken into pieces (the personality) and made separate personalities (alters) so that the child enduring this trauma doesn’t have to live it, another part of the brain does (an alter) will then deal with it. It’s so interesting and sad at the same time. These alters then protect the “main” person so they don’t have to remember anything. You are not meant to know you have this disorder, that’s the point in DID. The “host” is not meant to remember anything. I hope that helped in some way. I honestly respect Jess, Oli, Ed, Jamie and Jake so much that they shares all this with us and I hope them well with their new child Evie and how amazing of a husband Gaz is, I give you all my love❤️ xxx
@gothboithick
@gothboithick 3 жыл бұрын
@@kwirkxx there are a few errors in this. in many cases, there is no “main” person. before that you use the word broken and there is nothing to break at that age, a personality simply fails to form at all. ordinarily the various facets of your consciousness coalesce into a unified, somewhat steady personality by about 8-10 years old, the process is interrupted when someone has DID. and you left out the fact that as well as continuous interpersonal trauma in childhood, another necessary feature is a disorganized attachment to your primary caregiver during childhood.

Oooh this is such a great idea! I've done the test for the first time three years ago and have always been an (extremely turbulent) ENFP. I never really knew if I should be proud of it or not since ENFP struck me as pretentious, obnoxious, over-senstive and generally impractical(basically how I see myself and how I believe others see me as well). Which is why I'm so surprised and happy that someone who's such a great sympathetic guy as Jake is also an ENFP! I'm so glad, somehow I feel proud to know that I'm similar to him and that I can potentially seem just as approachable, down to earth and friendly! Thank you guys for doing this test! PS my best friend is an INFJ too it's said to be the best fit for an ENFP and now that I think about it Jess and her really seem pretty similar somehow, ambition wise for example. I'm so glad to have her, she's such gem (even as rare!) :)

I''m glad you-all are back! Thanks for this video, I think it's awesome! Our system has been fascinated with the MBTI ever since we first learned about it a few months ago. We've actually been using the same website that you are using to take the test (I think there are some other sites out there that let you take the test for free, but that one is really good!) We have a rather large system (70 parts/alters), and so far 16 of us have taken the test. Here are our results so far: Doug and Lilith: INFP "The Mediator" Myself (Leyna) and Masako: INFJ "The Advocate" Jenny, Rachel, Mindy and Elena: ENFP "The Campainer" Elizabeth: ENFJ "The Protagonist" Mattie: ENTP "The Debater" Nira: INTP "The Logician" Louise: INTJ "The Architect" Lynn: ISFJ "The Defender" Denise D: ENTJ "The Commander" Hope: ESFJ "The Consul" Vanessa: ISFP "The Adventurer" (although her S/N score was very close to the middle, so she could be either this or a Mediator, and she seems to show some signs of both) So, we have 11 out of the 16 personality types so far. We think that's pretty cool! That means we have a lot of diversity, and can better understand now how we can use each of our strengths and help each other to overcome our weaknesses. Oh, and we've been thinking for a while now, watching your videos, that our Rachel is similar to your Jake, so it makes sense that they are both Campaigners! We're really excited about how the MBTI can be a valuable tool to help DID people like us understand ourselves better. And also, it turns out that our part Hope has the same personality type as our wife, so that means Hope can help smooth over communication problems with her. I would highly recommend this test to anybody, but especially other DID systems! - Leyna

We've done this for our main guys/girls. Everyone (over 190 of us) pretty much fall into 6 types for us. I (Host) and trauma holders closest to me are all ISFJ's. Its interesting to see we are so similar to you Jess, i wonder if it's a host thing? our others are: ENFP (little girls); ESTP (sexual alter) ESTJ (inner self helper and anp's) ; the little boys are all ESFP; Our biggest strongest most traumatized are ISTJ's.

So I learned in my psych class about how most people with DID don't realize that they have it because their personalities don't interact. And that they figure it out eventually because they'll wake up wearing completely different clothes and in a different place, etc. so I was just curious how you figured out you had DID, or was it something you had as a kid and your parents realized? Ps if thats too personal or you've made a video on this I totally understand ❤️

She didn't know at first and she used to wake up in random places not knowing how she got there and Ed was also hurting himself at first so she would find scratches and stuff on her body.. She only new what she actually had when she started studying psychology and found an article about the difference between schizophrenia and DID and the description of DID matched then I guess she got help from a psychiatrist and that's when Jamie Ed and Jack introduced themselves there's a documentary where she explains all of this you can look for it on youtube !

Oh my god I just took the test and it turns out I have the same type as Jess! Being similar to her seems even more special than supposedly making up 1% of the population. I'm also curious if trauma or mental illness have a link to this. I do not have DID but I do have bipolar disorder and ptsd. My trauma happened as a teenager/young adult, so it shaped me a bit differently. I'm not someone who believes in the supernatural, so psychics, my zodiac sign, etc don't really convince me of anything. Always pretty generalized. But I really feel these results resemble me so closely, and it's nice to see some science behind it. And more than anything they make me hope. I always want to change the world and make it a better place as an advocate, and reading that if anyone can do it, it's my personality type just feels so validating. PS. I'm new to the channel. I've only been watching for the last week or so, but I've already watched so much and done research on the side, because I wasn't very familiar with DID. I face some stigma with my disorder as well, so watching people like you thrive and push back against those stigmas is really inspiring. I love all of you.

Hi jess. I think you and the boys are wonderful at demystifying mental illness. You are a wonderful champion to all victims. Me being one. I am an INTJ and love Myers-Briggs. It really relates.

Would love to see an updated version of this and see if any alters have changed at all? I'm ISFP-T (adventurer) but I'm weak in the energy trait so I actually identify quite strongly with INFP-T (mediator) so I have a lot of traits from both personalities.

(I just found this channel and checked some videos, and I realized how I lost track of time since it's 3:52am 😅) I'm not diagnosed with DID and I haven't met anyone with that disorder, at least that I know of, but I am ready to learn all about it. I kinda surf through KZbin to learn about mental disorders and mental health in general just to get information that otherwhise I would either never get access to or I would get a stigmatised version of it. Mental health in general should be more properly adressed by society. That and gender and sexual education at schools. (Seriously, I had to learn about myself through KZbin videos because all they taught us was how to put on a condom properly.) Education and exposure without stigmas to things that are seen as tabus should be reinforced everywhere, MEDIA and schools, our homes, you name it. So I'm happy you guys are talking about this, and I hope I find even more channels out there about other disorders and stuff like that. Keep doing the good work I guess...? Ok now bye

I've been studying MBTI for a long time. And 16personalities test has a lot of stereotype based kind of questions. I think you should try keys2cognition test. It is more accurate. I'm not trying to promote or something, I'm just stating my opinion (: I'm an infp btw! Good video as always!

Lmao poor Ed! 😂 I hope Jake felt better shortly after filming. ❤ I'm not surprised at any of the results, and not in the similarities between Ed and Ollie, nor in Jess and Jake. I'm in the same boat as Ed: deeply uninterested in these tests. I just enjoy your system. 😊

I took the test and it turns out that I am a Mediator as well, which does not surprise as I have always been very quiet and reserved, but passionate about the things I care about, so I feel the category they placed me in fits quite well.

Hello everyone! It's so great to see a video from y'all again. (Even if I'm late watching ^^; lol.) One cool think about Meyers Briggs tests is that the results can actually change for a person as they develop over time. Like I was an EFTJ when I was in high school, then I was an INFP, but recently I retook the test and my results were INFJ. It's all about how you change over time. I admit, I was super excited to here that Jess and I have the same personality type. And it was cool to here all the boys results. I'm a little curious to know what Gaz would get now. 😄 I hope y'all are doing alright. Sending lots of love!

Liked and subscribed xoxo we share the same birth name, although I go by Tuesdae now instead of Jessica, and I'm also an INFJ ❤ I love the work, love, and information put into this channel! I have BPD and PTSD and I find DID so fascinating. It's amazing what the brain does to help us cope. Thank you all for shedding light on DID and helping others understand more about it. Keep up the great work xoxo much love! ✌ ❤ -2s

I’m an ENFP just like Jake! Which isn’t surprising in the least bit to me since I’m also an actor! I think I’m most surprised by Ollie’s result because he doesn’t come across at direct like Ed to me, but granted he’s still a kiddo so who knows! Such a fun idea though! Much love to you all!

*Please read this* The 16 personnalities is one of the worst and the one of the most inaccurate test of MBTI. The problem is that 16personnalities test types on letters and not functions. And the worst thing than letters typing is inaccurate letters typing. 16personnalities types being shy and quiet as introversion vs being loud and confident as extroversion, being intelligent and unemotional as thinkong vs being nice and emotional as feeling and so on. Just look at the questions if you don't trust me... That's the problem with 16personnalities test. Because if that, many people think they are Infj, infp, entj, but they are not. So please if you want to know your MBTI type, look for the cognitive functions.
