awesome mate! The facts that the form is very good and that you seem pretty heavy compared to the regular planchers are even more impressive. Definitely helps to stay motivated while i`m injured, thank you. hope to reach full by the end of 2019.

I've got the same hips mistake as yours at 5:10. I got strong push by doing many Planche variations and OneArmHandstand for many years. Finally, after 3 years of official Calisthenics training, i filmed myself and realized the terrible high form LoL (i stopped training anything for a month just because I feel i'm really stupid, demotivated). By the way, now i'm back and still fix it.

Nice man! I can hold straddle planche ( sometimes but not best form). As I am a gymnast ( 15 year old) I want to be able to do full planche on rings. Hope I can get it

Yes hope so. I do 3 times per week regular gymnastics training + 2 times strength training ( planche, iron cross, handstandpress on rings and other gymnastics strength moves.

great video, however I gotta tell you something, I can see how you might have seen the overly protracted rounded back planche as the correct form, but in reality it isn't, you can take a look at all gymnast and see how most of them actually keep their spine neutral, I am not saying you shouldn't protract the scapula (even tho it is not a must) but when you do, make sure you spine stays neutral. Also when rounding your back you will always have overexertion in your neck, you won't create a stable surface for your scapula and over time you can create micro-fractures (if not full break) of the bony arches that create your spine canal. Kids, keep the spine neutral

i appreciate the input , personally i prefer this form. mine is not nearly perfect , however esthetically i personally prefer a slight over-protraction to the neutral or even retracted form i see most gymnasts do.

Thats some real progress story. Consistent training each month. Took the man 2 years + to develop a good form Full Planche. 6 months is not possible. Maybe if you do a super shit bad form then it might.

Hey man I tried practicing handstand for months and it was not clicking for me. So I switched my goal to the Planche. I can hold an advanced tucked planche for 10 secs. Here is my idea after atleast mastering the straddle planche, my thought is to muscle my way into a handstands. So any opinions if this would work?

How old are you brother? I am a 31 year old who is on the road to planche. It is slow going, and I'm trying hard to stay motivated. I can muscle up, front lever (just got that) and press handstand.....so I'm making progress in calisthenics. But planche is what I really want.

hey bro i am 26 , i started when i was 24. Those are some awesome skills to have bro , keep training planche consistently and do attempts very often , im sure you will see progress.

NICKY.MAKES keeping the motivation is the hard part. Progress is so far from linear. I feel like you train for a while with no progress, then all of the sudden you make a lot of progress really quickly. Then you stagnate again, and the cycle continues. That’s where I’m at right now. Struggling to get a solid, good form advanced tuck. I know shortly after that the straddle will come, but getting from zero to advanced tuck is taking a long time. Trying hard to stay motivated.
