Join me on my 3-year planche progression journey!
From a beginner to achieving a FULL MALTESE, I share with you my dedication and hard work in this video.
I started calisthenics started in 2019 after recovering from a head injury in boxing.
At first, I wasn't sure if I would be consistent with my training, but my passion for the sport kept me going.
In this video, I share my journey from the present, but I regret not filming my progress from the beginning.
If you enjoy watching my progress, please like, comment, and subscribe to support my channel.

I did my first 10 seconds front lever hold in 9 months of training. Aftet that I understood, that I actually messed up, by not training planche too. It was 2 years ago. And I never started planching since then, thinking, that I'd rather be able to do 10 different types of HSPU, then train 3 years to hold 15 seconds planche. Now I am seriously reconsidering this decision....
@hamza_cali

I had that same mindset lol, its not bad tbh , because u will have a stronger base so u will be able to learn the planche in less time.

@@PirateSloth stay consistent bro and dont rush it, if you have a straddle planche by now, start on working your full planche with bands in order to understand the movement. Do deeper leans to activate more and more the shoulders. I stopped statics for a while now since im injured im only working on basics endurance but hopefully one day ill be back🙏🏼

if your reading this know that if you are experiencing pain a movement or hold you should tone down that specific stimulus and do some prehab because you can get an overuse injury which DOES suck even though michael didn't and still progressed to do some of the most advanced skills there are.

m8 i see it took about 7-8 months for your first straddle and then more than a year to get to full, is the gap really that wide? the aproach needed different? also did you train cali before that or transitioned from weights much love
@michaelkandalaft
@michaelkandalaft Жыл бұрын
Yes it took a big gap to transition from straddle to full because its such a different thing, the weight is way harder and you have to master the straddle to work on the full. Don’t forget that each person is different, some people might get way easier than others while other might take them more than 2 years. I used to lift some weights and my main sport was MMA and boxing

you're really motivating me, but bro.. I've been working out for planche since the October 2022, and stuck on tuck planche until now. I thought it was my weak straight arm strength, but if I think once more, I can't even do handstand push up. Is it my shoulder too weak or my straight arm which was to weak for planche? Anyway, you're really cool man!

Impressive bro, how do you schedule your training at 2022?
@michaelkandalaft
@michaelkandalaft Жыл бұрын
Thanks bro, in 2022 when i made my most progress, i was training mostly by feeling. If my tendons felt good i used to go all in and give my max then rest until im fully recovered. Maybe this method wont work with you but it kind of helped me. The only disadvantage i had is my injury which was making my progress way slower
@lucas59190
@lucas59190 Жыл бұрын
@@michaelkandalaft Thanks for your answer, Actually I have lot of experience with planche training but struggling to progress, If I go all in it takes me 3-4 days to recover, I can full planche for 3-4sec max but after 2-3 attempts I can't do it anymore. I'm close to unlock it but for me it's not done yet =) And ofc I want maltese. it's like I have strength but not endurance strength, my straddle hold is around 8sec on ground and I have 0 pushups but 2 presses
