To be fair Gaz my hooking skills got better as i got older 🤣. Yes watching a pike stalk your lure into the shallows is great. But when them bigger ones take it, its a real rush. But our river has been neglected for many years now, builts up with silt and weeds. And dumped trash can be spotted in a lot of places, also with the fishing that aint like it used to be 😫. Also its good to get out and still give it a try 😊👍🏻. All the best, Tel 😊🙏🏻😊

They pretty much drain our locks in the winter to keep the water higher in the lakes

Our river has been neglected for many years now mate, it aint as good as it used to be, and if they drained it there would be no water and its a massive build up of silt, the river is not as deep as it ised to be, like when the boats go past they stir it up like crazy and the boats never used to churn it up so much.
