For anyone with missing context: digital recallablity is when you’re able to digitally control the parameters of analog equipment, as an alternative to trying to digitally emulate it. Eventually, we’ll be able to manipulate our gear directly from the computer, instead relying just on simulated gear within that computer, or fiddling around with all the different knobs.

that should be done with User changable rather cheap but high resolution parts. motorized pot incl. electronics in a bloc form. so you can remove the faceplate and click out the defective bloc and replace it. otherwise - with THAT many mechanised parts in a console for example that console is always "out of service" or big chunks of gear sent out for repair.

One benefit of everybody releasing plugins is that now we can get very good plugins for way cheaper than we used to. Also I'm thinking AI will get us closer to the "analog sound" in the near future like it did with guitar amps. Don't know if it will happen on 2025 though

@@AudioAnimalsStudio I use a Genesis Black console and in a sense you are right, every pot on the desk is not motorized and has to be manually moved. But I bring it up because all the faders, analog eqs & compressors, routing, are all recalled instantly by the use of relays. There is also a DAW plugin that allows for channel, eq, compressor, fader, busses, to be automated and controlled by the DAW. You are only missing control and recall of the send pots. With a desk like the Genesis Black, and your extra outboard, you would have complete and instant recall and control completely in the analog domain. The idea, technology, and implementation is not new. Neve is a pioneer in this area imo and has been implementing this many years ago. Great videos and content. Keep it up!

I think the future will be quite different- i.e. producer tunes a sound (using either hardware or software that feels right at the moment and what he/she likes and lets AI “finish”, “polish”/fine tune it . Ai will add accurate finish touches to mixes and masters
@AudioAnimalsStudioАй бұрын
@@bildjan I disagree. I think at some point you'll be penalised for using AI. That may be the algorithm not selecting a song or royalties not being as much.
@bildjanАй бұрын
Penalized for what?
@bildjanАй бұрын
Let’s say an artist makes a song and ai adds finish touches on it and correct the eq levels etc… who cares if ppl love the end product and want to listen to it. Do you think Timbaland joined the ai music production platform just for fun? I think he is trying to keep up with what’s to come in the future. Artists release ai masters for years some even use ai to mix. New thing coming up called spike Ai: they promise it will mix your song and go beyond- from their page- Spike AI does more than simply automating technical aspects, but the makers say it also captures the artistic nuance which a skilled engineer can bring to a mix. A unique feature in the software is the ability for users to interact with a chatbot trained on Spike’s specific expertise, meaning mix adjustments can be made using natural language. This intuitive, conversational approach allows even those without deep technical knowledge to fine-tune their mixes, providing a new level of access to professional-grade results. I think what will happen is that producers and artist will realize that the human generated sound is the best and will value it more. Regardless if it’s digitally recalled or not. For instance old records are now the new trend and vinyl sales are high again. Ppl Are getting sick of the machines and will want to get more old school natural stuff. There is still gonna be great % of the market for ai driven digital Music for the electronic music.
@AudioAnimalsStudioАй бұрын
@bildjan and I think in the future you'll be penalised for releasing music produced with AI. Like how when you post a picture using AI you have to state that it was made using AI. Then images made with AI don't enter the algorithm in the same way. They will be penalised and not pushed to go viral. Same situation with music. Music made by a human will be served to more people and AI music will be held back. Just a prediction based of what I know is currently happening.
