My Problem With Indie Games

If your looking for a really hard game you should definitly try the binding of isaac: rebirth. Also try Yellow taxi goes vroom, its a really weird/funny platformer and it gets pretty hard at times too.

Backpack Battles just came out and I've been having a lot of fun with it. Maybe most indie games get overshadowed by the amount of scary games out there but there are a lot of good non-horror Indie games too.

Pretty on the money, I am working on my own Jet ski 3D platformer called Storm Hacker, hoping it's different enough to stand out. I didn't want to just make another scary game.

My guess: it's easier for a developer to build a career on horror games, they're easier to make (some are pretty much walking simulators, there's not a lot of moving parts to screw up) and people simply watch others play it even if the game is bad, because let's face it, bad horror can be pretty funny. It's like a magic formula to catch attention. Solution: support devs that are willing to do something different, and content creators that are out there looking for hidden gems (youtuber Wicked Wizard comes to mind)

Hey man, I’m not sure if this will be helpful for you, but it helped me to pick a publisher that published an indie game I like, and just deep dive their category. Lately, I’ve been really into anything Devolver. I also like finding games with the same artist working OSTs. Doseone did the soundtrack for Enter the Gungeon, Sludge Life, Disc Room, High Hell and more.

I thought I was the only one thinking this lol. Idk why these indie developers keep making all of these horror games. Give us open world sandbox games, platformers, kart racers, third-person action-adventure games, or party games. I don't see how a lot of youtubers aren't bored of playing them tbh.

Trust me man one of the best indie games is Shotgun Farmers it costs around 10pounds/dollars but there's a free battle pass everythings free in the game the only time you have to spend money is the cost of the game and I would love to see a video on it as it has a small community So it would be great maybe I'd you could maybe get it and try it (:
