I see we have similar processes Mine is a bit different tho Step 1: Record audio that I have a vague idea for Step 2: Go in and write the lyrics when they're heard to make timing and lip synching easier later on Step 3: Maybe draw a few key points from the idea I may or may not have had Step 4: Forget about it for a few months Step 5: Get very little sleep for about a week until I reach Peak Tired and pray my ADHD kicks in so I'll have the desire to be productive Step 6: Work on each scene one by one until it's entirely finished all in one night Step 7: Tell myself that it looks alright and that as long as I had fun making it, that's all that matters, but still feel deep down that it could be better and I'm only letting myself down by not being experimental and not trying to do anything new Step 8: Try to keep the train going by working on at least one of the other 200 flipnotes on my system Step 9: Fail Step 10: Forget about making flipnotes for another few months until I get another stroke of inspiration And that's about it.

WHAT A WONDERFUL BONUS I AM SO PLEASANTLY SURPRISED AHA I desperately want to get back into flipnotes and animation in general, but my character designs have gotten way too complex to be even considered to be animation friendly, and I don’t know where to even start on even simplifying them (plus I’m stubborn) stumbling across your channel was a wonderful surprise and has inspired me, and I can’t thank you enough for that ^^ (The Moss absolutely blew my mind because I didn’t know it was even possible to do an entire song on flipnote) please keep up the fantastic work!

Mine is somewhat similar 1. Sketch the animation storyboard out 2. Get the audio and time it out 3. Listen to a bunch of songs unrelated to the Flipnote to get pumped and motivated 4. Finish within 2 days or more (Depending on my schedule)

i export them as gifs and save them onto the SD card! I then put the SD card in my computer and grab the gif from there. After that i just put them into an editing program and sync up the audio

Practice. Read books on drawing (or just look up pictures, there's plenty). Practice more. Fill every piece of paper you find with doodles. You'll get something eventually.

Step 4 is my entire animation career. (Also if you dont mind me asking-- what do you use to put the gif and audio together cause I've tried so many things and I can never get a good resolution as well as sound quality and THEN upload it to youtube while maintaining the same clarity. It just never works for me.)

I use sony vegas, but for a while i just used the basic windows video editor thing For the audio, just search what you want on youtube and download it through one of the many youtube to mp3 sites either trim it to the part you want in the video software or do it in something like audacity For video clarity, i suggest using just flat colors as if you use the paint options it can cause video quality to drop on youtube because of all the individual pixels it has to render

@@Grimleorio on dsi you can make cool effects in flipnote using a plain white image, drawing something random, doing the kaleidoscope effect, and moving it slightly every time you press the capture button, then go into flipnote and bring in each image into the animation, it creates a really cool background.
