I bought that journal with the Sun and Moon on it!! I am using it as a special record for my meditations, prayers and recording of dreams. I love having a separate journal for this type of writing and reflections. After a meditation session I usually need to write down some things that came up and this is perfect for that. Anything cosmic and spiritual goes into this one.

I purchased the pen via Dollar Tree online. I received the pens today. Wow! I LOVE IT. It’s so smooth and not heavy but easy to hold and write with. I now have 9 of them so I can gift a few to my family and keep 4 or 5 of them. 😂

I'm a put-everything-in-one-journal type. I've tried doing separate journals for everything, except my dream journal next to my bed, I quickly find all my thoughts and ideas land all in one place. I guess what I'm saying is, if you find it more enjoyable to keep your reading/books with your main journal, than keep it. You can make it a specific section or just write the pages it's on in a table of contents.

I'm like you as well! I prefer everything in one journal. You're right- Perhaps I can create a section for my reading & book logs. Hmmm... So much to think about. This is going to be this week's project.😅✍✍

I wondered... You could write all the detailed notes about your books in a separate notebook and then keep only the special quotes or meaningful bits in your day to day journal - things that really influence you. That way you keep a different kind of record in both - and you could include in your day to day journal the notebook and page number where all the more detailed information is kept so you could find it easily if you wanted to. 😊

Oh man the struggle of how many planners and notebooks is so real lol but when I get down to bare bones, it’s always comes back to 3: my pocket moleskine & 2 grid notebooks (one for work one personal). I’ve found over the yrs that my future self appreciates retrieving info in date consecutive order so if I’m reading a book the notes go in that main personal notebook now vs a separate reading notebook. Thanks for the book rec! It’s on my list now & hope to get to it this yr!! 🤞

Thank you so much for sharing your lineup and notebook system! We are so alike when it comes to wanting information in consecutive order! Hi! I track my readings in a really simple way in a seperate journal (Month, Sites, Author, Genre, about 3 words/sentences about that book). I also keep in this journal a yearly overview, new releases i want to read and also lists about series (order of the books, which ones i read already). And in my daily journal i write in deapth about books that i want to write more. This really works for me, because i really need that tracker-feeling thats organised for my brain 😂 Love those Vlogs ❤

Oooo a booktuber that I like to watch (Books with Brittany) was also talking about Spark of the Everflame series! You and I seem to have very similar book tastes so if you enjoyed it then I know I will! Maybe I’ll ask for them for my Mother’s Day gift ☺️ also I highly recommend Pride and Prejudice! I used to think the concept was boring but it was because I didn’t understand the context very well because I didn’t know much about England society and the language use back then. I bought Pride and Prejudice the annotated version which is annotated by David M. Shapard. One the left side pages of the book is the actual story which will include footnotes and the right pages are the explanations of each footnote. It can seem tedious but it actually helped me become more fascinated with the story because we understand more. Why mentioning the type of carriage someone has is important, why this phrase was used and what it meant back then compared to what it means to us now, etc. it helped me understand way more and fall in love with the story. It’s now my favorite of all time 😊 I hope you enjoy it! Also thanks to you I got a new moleskine and journaling again! Ever since I became a mom 4 years ago I just didn’t have the time or mental headspace to use it for journaling but now I do! I thought about a separate reading journal but I decided to put it all in my moleskine commonplace book. I want it to all be included in my one book for this year (or however long it takes me to fill it up) and I’ll put page flags/post it’s on the edge of the pages that include my book entries so I know where to flip if I want to see what books I read 😊 sorry for the long comment lol I love these videos so much!
@SeaweedKisses3 ай бұрын
Yes! Please give Spark of the Everflame a try! I think you will thoroughly enjoy it! I'll also have to check out that booktuber you watch. She seems to have our similar book taste. Can't get enough of book recs and suggestions!😄 That annotated Pride and Prejudice version actually sounds lovely and may inspire me to get through the book. Thank you so much for the recommendation~! Adding it to the cart as we speak.🤭I'll have to come back and give you a proper 'thank you' once I finish the book. The way you use your Moleskine commonplace book sounds similar to my system as well. Perhaps I'll just stick with keeping my fav reads and book logs in one book. Just reading your comment may have inspired me to keep it so.❤🥰 And thank you so much for watching! It warms my lil heart to know that you enjoy them so much!! Yay!! Curious to know, if you don't mind sharing, what you recent 5 star read has been? I'd love to add it to my TBR list.
@ellenonoda3 ай бұрын
Yay I’m so glad that you’re considering the annotated version of Pride and Prejudice! It is one of my most prized books, I just love it so much. Whenever you decide to read it, I’d love to hear your thoughts! I also would love a discussion if you ever want to talk about it too! I added Spark of the Everflame and the rest of the books in the series to my wishlist! It definitely sounds up my alley. It’s been fun to see you get into books and be into the same kinds of books as I am since I’ve been following you for years for journaling 😊 now I have double the reason to watch! I have ADHD (I think you mentioned in previous videos that you have it too?) so it helps me to stay organized if I have everything in one spot. I can be so disorganized sometimes 😅 so I decided that different color sticky tabs for various topics with a key in the front telling me which color means which would help me find something specific if I needed to 😆 One of my recent 5 star reads is The Mask of Mirrors by M.A. Carrick. It is a trilogy and it is a fantasy! It is about a con artist named Ren who is teaming up with her sister Tess to infiltrate a noble house, pretend to be a cousin, get added to the family register and then leave with some money to live out her life in more comfort. However, things aren’t as simple as all that…The story is set in a Venetian inspired world with two different magic systems. The world building is beautiful, the characters are complex and dynamic, even the side characters are very well developed. The only con is that the world building can be a little confusing at first but I promise you the pay-off is worth it! If possible, I highly recommend listening to the audiobook while reading along physically (immersion reading). The audiobook narrator did a fantastic job of doing the different accents and got me into the story. I highly recommend it! I’m currently on the second book The Liar’s Knot and I’m really loving it too. Another 5 star prediction! If you’re ever into sci fi but you’re a beginner to it like I am, I recently read The Blighted Stars by Megan E. O’Keefe and the sequel The Fractured Dark and loved them both as well, 5 stars! There’s some romance in it and also the sci fi elements are very interesting and not too confusing like I assumed a lot of sci fi is. In this world earth is no longer habitable (we are in the future) and humans are trying to find other worlds to live upon which they call cradles. There are 5 families in power, the most powerful being the Mercator family. The 5 families are seen practically like royalty and the heads of families and their children all have bodyguards. The story is about Naira, a former bodyguard for the head of the Mercator family, trying to infiltrate one of their missions because she believes the rocks they are harvesting for their technology is destroying the worlds. We also get the POV from Tarquin who is the son of Mercator. It was so interesting and gripping! I hope these pique your interest ☺️

@@ellenonoda Okay, now you've got me excited to really commit to Pride and Prejudice. I started it recently, but put it down around chapter 6. (I noticed I tend to bounce around books depending on the mood. Haha!) Once the annotated copy comes I'm going to give it my full attention and read chapters of it each day. Once finished, I'll certainly share my thoughts! Now that my passion for reading has been revived, I'm so hyped and excited to catch up on all the great books I've missed out on throughout the years! So much to add to the TBR list.😅 Yes, now you'll have double the reason to watch these upcoming videos as I'll geek out on journals, stationery and now BOOKS!❤📖 Adding The Mask of Mirrors to the reading list as well. Thank you for sharing! Sounds like a trilogy I would really enjoy. Curious to know if you've read The Infernal Devices Trilogy? It's an older series, however, a book friend raved about it and highly recommended that as my next series after Spark of The Everflame. While I'm a beginner, like yourself, when it comes to sci fi, I'll add The Blighted Stars to the list as well. Seeing that we have similar book taste, I don't doubt this will be an interesting read! Thank you so much for the suggestions! I also noticed that have a youtube channel. Have you thought about uploading again sharing your fav reads?
