This thing works really well, but it's a bit weird while charging.

Does this have an automatic trickle / flood charge function to maintain the battery when not in use?

As far as I know, yes, after fully charging the battery it goes automatically into trickle charge.

Did you tried it with a severely discharged car battery? (0-5V)

Tried it now, my battery is 0.8V, no chance, its in standby, ended up here searching if it's possible@teDIY Am luat mizeria asta in loc sa il folosesc pe ala rusesc a lu bunica-miu, cum ai zis, iti incarca si o caramida ala. Bine, nu e mizerie, dar nu e bun pentru o baterie sub 2v. In rest pare chiar ok

Este posibil sa il bag in modul ala turbo sa ii bag volti cum baga ala rusesc si dupa sa o incarc cu modul normal? Sau sar in aer ? :)))))@@UltimateDIY

Nu am incercat niciodata asa ceva. In general bateriile care ajung la un voltaj atat de scazut sunt afectate fizic si chiar daca momentan reusesti sa le incarci, sunt deja stricate si nu stau incarcate.

Daca vrei neaparat, incerca cu incarcatorul de caramizi, dar undeva unde nu conteaza daca pusca sau ia foc bateria 🤭

Welcome! My battery is AGM and I charge it without problems.

That Romanian old thing will outlive the new electronic one, so keep it somewhere safe. You should review the old thing, it has 14 and 16 V ??? lol they messed up the manual! How is it both measuring the voltage and charging at the same time? Can you connect on oscilloscope and see how the voltage looks? Or at least a current clamp to see what current it is actually pushing in the battery. Anyway you need at least 20 hours to charge your 90 Ah battery. Price?

Yes, it's not going anywhere 👍🏻 A bit weird about the 14v and 16v, but I guess if you want to exolode a battery, that would do it :))

It was 69 lei, if I remember right. Sadly, I do not have an osciloscope or a current clamp. Tried with a multimeter on Amps in series, but the readings were all over the place, so I could not get a reliable value. The voltage seems to be exact, as the multimeter in paralel says the same thing.

Depends on battery capacity and initial state of charge.

Was your battery fully drained?

Yes. No smart charger will charge a battery drained to that level. If it gets under 7V (as far as I can remember), the battery is damaged and unusable, so it will not charge it.

e bun. am si eu ceva de la lidl dar tot cam acelasi lucru. mai are un mod in plus pentru baterie de motocicleta.....

Recent l-am cumparat si pe cel de la Lidl. O sa fac un video si pentru el. Ma gandesc daca se fac si un "versus" unde le desfac pe ambele sa vad ce e in ele.

Acest model My Project , incarca pana la 14,4 V și pe urma trece în automentinere in jurul tensiunii de 13,2v verificat,la al meu, dar nu prin impulsuri ,cum erau modelele Dynamic vandute de Kaufland.Cele Dynamic erau net superioare ,datorita menținerii tensiunii de plutire/flotare la 13,6...13,7volti,verificat cu volt-ampermetru ,ambele redresoare .
