My brother has the Japanese copy of that gun. Our father got it in the 1950's when he was in Japan. It says "Eagle" on it. Good little shooter. His wife uses it to protect their little garden in the back yard.

God, making stuff like that trigger guard from scratch using a block of steel is hard work. I know I have done it well done

Apparently a few companies made this Design. I've seen one but it was marked something else and was 5.5 mm.

Yes, in Canada anything that goes over 500fps and generates at least 4.2 foot pounds requires a firearms license to buy or own. The foot pounds requirement is there so that something that shoots a styrofoam bead over 500 fps wouldn't qualify. But any and all BB and pellet rifles with proper metal projectiles would likely meet the power level, so the 500fps rule is usually all we worry about.
