Coconut does not have protein. Its a fat, not a protein. It works on hair by attaching to your keratin(protein) in your hair and prevents your strands from absorbing too much water. All you have to do is read the coconut label and the number listed for amount of protein is zero.

Your hair is amazing! I've been natural for a year and 4 month now and I'm loving it. My curls are amazing. I recently purchased those hair supplements can't wait to see them work. Any more tips?

Thank you, the greatest tip I can give is water! Water is your hair's best friend, water in a spray bottle has been helpful in styling, de tangling, and imparting moisture all at once for me. Also drinking lots of water will have a huge effect on the health of your hair and body.

I drink about 2-3 bottles of water a day. My bottle holds a little more than 3 cups. I've always been hesitant to pray water on my hair. I've filled up my spray bottle but i don't know how much I should spray and I don't want too much shrinkage. Should I spray that add my oils ? In the morning or at night ?

What if my hair completely rejects coconut oil and palm oil? What is an alternative oil that penetrates and strengthens?

I actually sell those vitamins! They work amazing now we have a new and improved hair vitamin! You should give them a shot if you havent already! Thanks for the details...p.s. coconut oil has always felt like it sits on top of my hair and skin, never quite absorbs into it though! Olive oil does but its heavy🤷🏾♀️

My hairdresser told me to use avocado oil or grapeseed. The avocado oil took 2 days, but its FABULOUS. Not greasy, leaves my hair fluffy with body. I get color treatments .

In the past I had am allergic reaction to an avocado and I haven't been brave enough to try the oil but I usually mix grapeseed and olive oil. I'll give grapeseed a try by itself thanks!

Why do you prefer taking your vitamins at night?

coconut oil is protein based?! I never knew that but I apply to my hair religiously!
@TeamOctaviaNow8 жыл бұрын
it was my understanding that coconut oil itself does not have protein, that would be coconut milk, coconut oil however does help prevent protein loss from your hair.
