This is the best Crystal. Your video is so entertaining and yes Elmers is the winner. Thank you great demo!

I haven’t tried the watered-down glue before! Nice idea 💡 I’ve tried the cornstarch & the fabric starch…I found the cornstarch method better with less cornstarch/more water as it wasn’t quite so stiff. The fabric starch is my favourite, but I brush the fibres into place after spraying & then iron it front & back so the feather is really straight, while still soft and “feathery” Also I noticed your hairspray was called “Aussie” with a kangaroo…I live in Australia & have never seen that hairspray before lol 😂

lol yeah Aussie is a pretty popular hair care brand here in the States! I’m not sure what’s so “Aussie” about it besides that they slapped a kangaroo on there 😂- That’s interesting about the spray starch though and good to know. So you DO need to iron it… if I find an unscented one I’ll try that and do it the way you said! And the glue worked very well, but it does make it a bit unbrushable. It was sure satisfying to trim though! 😊

I've used glue and water for crochet so I'm going to try it for macrame. We always used 50-50 ratio and it worked well.

I love this! I have used hairspray, mega hold, unscented, but still got a lot of the curling. It has to be recombed and resprayed. I will definitely try the Elmer's glue! Thank you!!! Love your posts.

This was really helpful to a newbie. I’ve used the Stiffen Quik and got frustrated by the curling. It’ll be Elmer’s glue for my next feather! Thanks!

I did starch once & placed a tea towel over & ironed it on low, worked ok but hairspray easier

Great video, I saw a video on corn starch and she added a half cup of water to it after it cooled and put it in a spray bottle. Maybe that would work better?

I would like to see how they all do after being trimmed. I’ve used stiffen up and spray starch. Stiffen up worked better for me

I use the glue method. I've always had good results.

I’ve done the hairspray and the glue… I prefer the glue

The spray starch only works if you put heat on it after applying. So if you iron your feather right after spraying it you would have a entire different result.

We always used Aquanet hairspray in high school art class to protect our projects. It's cheap and definitely something you really wouldn't want to use on your hair. The downside? I don't know if it's still available anymore or not😢

There's a product called stiffy have you tried that, and how about mod poge?
@MarchingNorth3 ай бұрын
I almost included Mod Podge in this video but I felt like I had too many contenders, lol. I may follow up and test that out as well. I haven't heard of stiffy, but I'll have to look it up, thank you!
