I love the update on Project R34. I think I knowingly haven been following your work and car for a long time now. I remember going to GTROC all the time and hoping to see updates from you. Then when Speedhunters began I've been reading it since day one. Plus bumping into you at TAS in 2019 and hearing your story of when you put your order in for the 34 was a treat. Yo Dino its nice to see your R34 GTR again. You mention that police in Japan do inspect modified sports cars and are they really that strict these days? Also does the police in the parking areas you frequently going like Tatsumi and Daikoku inspect things like catalytic converters if they are street legal? If that’s the case then how come that some cars that almost have a gutted interior and with rollbars/cage passed the so called shaken inspection? By the way nice content as always and the view of Mt. Fuji is really nice.

Yes checks do happen and not interested in getting caught running anything non shaken friendly, too or for that. Gutted interiors and roll cages aren’t illegal

the pads should not affect how the pedal feels, the correct M/C is determined by working out the M/C piston size as opposed to calliper piston size, if your brake pedal stopper isnt adjusted correctly you can get a rising brake pedal as the piston in the M/C isnt returning to where it needs to go, unlikely on your car but if your brakes are sticking on then it is either a seized piston in the calliper/s or an internally failed rubber brake hose, if you jack the car up , pump the brake pedal and the wheel sticks for a few seconds after the pedal was pumped, brake hose is internally collapsed not allowing fluid to return, was an issue on my EF civic, but those are 35 year old hoses.

Thanks for that, there’s no sticking, ultimately overly sensitive on first application and then lack of progression which makes impossible to heel and toe. Definitely changing the brake pads for some Endless ones and see how we go from there

Dino I believe Masa and Albo have taken their cars over to Shogun Detailing shop. Funny Albo slept overnight in the shop inside his Subaru Legacy wagon😂😂. That was about a year ago and he video taped it.

Brakes are probably master cylinder. Wish you would be more specific by weird. I like the GTR N1 1" Nabco master cylinder. Not as stiff as the 17/16 that everyone uses. Good luck!

Do you have an oil pan baffle tank regarding your 600hp target? Oil pressure drop is said to be an issue at this kind of power. And also what brand is your MAF sensor? Regarding caliper colour I agree red doesn't fit well, black would be a bit too shy, silver like z-tune's or oem orange are perfect 👍

Do you mean the baffles in the oil sump or an oil pan extension? I will have to get both in the future yes. As for MAF, I’ve eliminated them and run a MAP sensor

Like any performance tire they need to warm up which takes extra long in winter but I’ve come to really understand and trust how they perform on the limit even in the cold.
