Didn’t know this was used on bunnies! My new rescue is getting neutered soon... might be something to ask the vet about so smudge heals faster. So glad to hear it helped Lulu! 🐰💙

Coming from a VTS in internal med who just has to comment: Cold laser therapy works great but they need to go way more slowly than they were going in the video. While it still has benefits going that quickly, the benefits can increase almost tenfold if they slow it down!

Rabbits love willow and popular species of trees especially the bark in winter maybe since this is a bark that can help people with arthritis and is a safe tree for rabbits as small branches it might be a natural solution...??? Look into it and see what you think..

Hopefully the technology will get cheaper to buy cold laser devices for home use. It looks like the higher end models are quite expensive. Perhaps some people might be able to rent the high end devices so they can use them at home on their pets.
@101rabbits4 жыл бұрын
There are companies who will rent them out! It would definitely be a great option for someone with a pet who needs to recover from an injury. But I think to rent out a laser for long term treatment would be pretty expensive! 😬

Cold Laser Therapy has very little scientific evidence in humans and even less in veterinary, I don't think it's a good way to invest a lot of money. In any case thank you for the vlog, your joyfullness and dedication to your pets are very remarking and something I honestly admire.

I just would like to ask-for places like here in south Africa there is not any drastic weather, hot weather just needs some water ears and shade with cooler bottles. While as cold needs a hide box of hay cleaned out regularly. Aswell as were I live there is No predators ,thank goodness, or big diseases. In these cases, I would like to ask from a person far far away. Will it then be safe to let our rabbits live outside? And to be honest I think my rabbits love it when I let them free in the yard during the day. They dig and find roots of trees, go crazy, binkies, zoomies. I would not leave them free in our yard but on a secure area, ofcourse
@kaitlynlusk8174 жыл бұрын
Wow that’s actually a REALLY good price. My vet did an exam, x rays, and gave me an anti-inflammatory medication for Fiver and it turns out all she had was a pulled muscle. It cost me over $600 dollars for that one visit
@101rabbits4 жыл бұрын
My vet definitely cheap which is a blessing. My specialty vet is insanely expensive though. I can only imagine the cost in other parts of the country/world. 😬
@kaitlynlusk8174 жыл бұрын
101Rabbits Yes! I live in Maryland and vet care, especially “exotic animal” vet care and emergency care is incredibly expensive. I have two rabbits and a cat and I was taking care of a stray cat. When the stray broke his leg they wanted 2,000 dollars that day and then 2,000 more for a weekend stay, then about 4,000 dollars for surgery to remove the leg because it was just smashed. We ended up having to sign the stray over to the vet’s office so they could find a shelter for him because we just didn’t have thousands of dollars. It was crazy and made me feel so awful that I didn’t have the money.
@lazyhomebody13564 жыл бұрын
@@kaitlynlusk817 That's a weird situation. Now they have to treat the cat for free and then find him/her a home. Too bad tgey couldn't give you a reduced price, but I guess there are people who would take advantage

@Star-ys4cj4 жыл бұрын
If you can care for two, I'd recommend 2. If you're not around much, the bunnies will keep each other company. It's better have 2 regardless as rabbits are very social creatures. If you can only care for 1, spend a lot of time with your bunny as they have no one else to interact with

Do they have to press very hard on the body with the wand? I’ve had ultrasounds and they have to press quite hard and deep to get the imaging. Just wondering if it is similar with laser therapy. That could hurt an already sore rabbit-at least in the beginning. I’m very bummed that it didn’t help her more. But I applaud you for trying it!
@anitap.41074 жыл бұрын
Nope! I work at a veterinary clinic and you just touch the skin, you don't press down.
@anitap.41074 жыл бұрын
It also may take several treatments in order to work best.
@101rabbits4 жыл бұрын
Ultrasounds are SOOO painful, this is nothing like that. My vet has changeable heads for the laser and they used a massage ball head for her and it’s literally just softly rubbing it over the skin. Not painful at all and normally is very relaxing to the animal!
