How many acres is your property? Beautiful garden and loved your video. About 4 years ago I started coming across gardeners in Zone 9B in the Phoenix area and never realized all the amazing trees one could grow in our climate. Currently, I have 11 trees not commonly seen and room for 2 or 3 more. My wife and I sure get a lot of enjoyment from our garden. Thanks for sharing your ideas.

I wish it were many, but it’s only .8 - still plenty of space! I’m right there with you at being surprised by the varieties we can grow here, they just take a little extra work.

I was interested in getting rainbow eucalyptus at one point but apparently it’s illegal in some states, I’d rather not risk it, always check your state laws

Will the tree roots be invasive for the silk floss and break concrete? I have a spot 9 feet from the house, but I read online that some recommend planting at least 15 feet away

I haven't heard of or noticed silk floss roots to be destructive, but the tree grows fast and eventually gets huge. I would be a bit cautious planting it so close to your house, if nothing else, from falling branches.
