This was honestly my least favorite elimination besides Courtney, his elimination was disrespectful towards his character's personality. Now Courtney's was a flip from one episode, but unlike Duncan's, you can see some parts of her old Action and World Tour shining, it was personally more poor timing than poor characterization. With Duncan though, he was turned into an imbecilic bonehead out of nowhere, and have him commit an act where he should've been fully aware that he would've gathered consequences, and acted less like a mischievous but still collected, crafty, and intelligent mastermind when backed into a corner, and more like an impulsive, childish blowhard with no common sense whatsoever...either way, it is only off when he is written by Ed Macdonald. Duncan is arrogant, but not a dumbass. Along with his arc prior to this episode being all about how he's not such a bad guy after all, and teasing viewers with a fascinating backstory involving him and Mal, only to toss all of that away for the sake of a joke that completely goes against what his character is offensive towards his characterization. He's treated like nothing more than what his stereotype represents, when we've gotten to see across three seasons why Duncan is much more than just a typical delinquent. All-Stars in general was bad with exaggerating every character's worst traits to the point of flanderization, with Duncan his character's build up led to no value.

@@justint3718 Mostly Gwen, I mean i watched one of the former TDRicky videos where he made a video about top 10 character derailement which was pretty accurate. Courtney has done a lot of big mistakes in the past all because of Duncan's influences as she went to extreme levels, And of course in her last appearence, She failed to fix the damage she has done thanks to Mal for showing everybody her chart elimination plans, Then she tried to repatch her friendship with Gwen but fully refused to do the one thing she asks her to do, Voting herself. But Gwen though...Oh boy that's like falling to a loophole that leads to nowhere, In Island she was a cool goth chick interested in Trip and stuffs having a rare friendship moment of characters like Duncan, Geoff and more. In Action she was having a complicated relationship with Trip while having more friendship moments with Duncan but were never interested to be together, Until World Tour, Now she has a high interest in Duncan while developping an unusual friendship with Courtney but totally ruined it because she maked out with him secretly which costed her friendship with Courtney but ended having Duncan as her boyfriend. Now in this case, Now she's being all ignorant about Duncan's feelings towards her because she believes he still has feelings for Courtney to which now she's more desperate to be friends with her again at every attempts while she never approved her at anything until few moments now they becamed friends after breaking up with Duncan and act like a typical bestie friend girl until their friendship was ruined and wanted to eliminate her but was willing to reconsider their friendship over a cheap offer... Gwen probably had worst compare to all characters...

Duncan gradually turning softer and softer was fine. It was the turning him into a simp and destroying his development that got to me. Like, why not have him just learn to accept his softer side with the help from Zoey in exchange for him helping her take down Mal. That would have been a good use of his character. You might as well have not brought him back if you were just gonna destroy all of his character development in 2 minutes.
