So, I am not Taylor and these lines are pretty specific to her, but I will tell you how I interpret them :) Jake is from/lives in Brooklyn. That’s the metaphor there. She could be referring to his upbringing or his lifestyle. You follow? :) It feels very much like Taylor felt burdened by this relationship- it took a toll on her physically, emotionally, mentally, or rather, his direct actions caused her a fuck-ton of pain and anguish. It drained her. He drained her. He sounds very much like he had an avoidant attachment style and she may have more of an anxious attachment style and those two combined when one or both parties are imbalanced is turbulent and exhausting and probably terribly confusing. She very much felt and was very aware of their energetic connection, it seems more than he was aware. This is the twin flame bruise part. It’s metaphorical but also based in truth bc energy is very real and she apparently is very aware of that. It was a fight for her- for his truth, his time, his attention, his commitment. Make sense? After this relationship ended, she felt literally like half of who she is/was before she ever went into this relationship. She was exhausted, in every way, and heartbroken on top of all that. And maybe even felt betrayed. She def felt used and unseen by him. It seems very much that she never knew exactly how he felt about her or where she stood with him. Her heart/gut/intuition told her the truth but his reality was anything but his truth, make sense? Twin flames are soul connections made in past lives between two aspects of One Source. Meaning, they at their core were born from the same energy and split off to have separate but combined(also) experiences. We’re not bodies with a soul- we’re souls using a human body to experience living. To grow ourselves. Twin flames vow to find each other in every lifetime. It’s usually a very turbulent experience(I’m tired, I haven’t slept yet bc of Red Release Day, please bare with me if it’s not as clear as it could be :) ). More often than not, one twin is the runner(Jake) and one is the chaser(Taylor). Bc we are made with free will, twin flames may not connect or re-connect even if they both exist in the same timeline. This life rn is the timeline they’re both born into this time around. So the bruise part is her acknowledging how chaotic and damaging parts of their relationship played out. The blue she says could be a play on a bruise- black and blue- it could also be a metaphor for him turning *cold* or sad. In Red she says losing him was blue like I’ve never known, you feel me? I read tarot :) That’s why I got all excited about the twin flame stuff. I had no idea she knew about that stuff but I’m not surprised bc she has Cancer in her chart which is the Queen of Cups- highly intuitive, highly psychic, unconditional love. She is true love at her core. Which makes her also an Empath as well, which can make allll of this imbalance extremely burdensome and devastating for her, if she’s not fully in her power as well.
