Bts lasted this long because they literally and genuinely love each and respect each other. They are a family.

If you watch behind the scenes BTS members are always most happy and relaxed when they are together.

BTS is unique. The genuine respect and love the brothers have, in my opinion, is the real reason why have lasted 13 years (includes their trainee years). When asked, even Bang PD said he doesn't know what the special sauce was for the BTS members to succeed and stick together AND Bang said, I don't know how to reproduce it. Which goes to my point, it's because of the members and the relationship they have with each other.

Very nice video..Well researched...Being an army i have no qualms in admitting that there r better vocalists and better dancers in other groups however, the fact that each bts member is so different than each other...each of their personality..their individual voices stand out...They add their individual touch to everything they do..The vocal line for example Jin,Jk,Jimin,V..each of their voices r so unique n different than each other u can literally close ur eyes n make out who's who..They r extremely competitive individuals bt they never cross each other out of immense respect for one another..,Luck definitely comes into play..For BTS the stars aligned in a way that can happen only once in a billion years

I wouldn't say for example that there are better dancers than Hoseok and Jimin. There are others about the same level. 😉 The difference being preference because realistically you are comparing apples and oranges. "Better" does not quet exist just different. 💜

I love musical groups, I grew up listening to girlbands and as I got older, I explored groups that made soul and r&b music from the 90s, as well as some that took to jazz and blues in the 60s like The Supremes. all of them, without exception, always had a frontman/frontwoman who ended up being the only members that many people knew within the group after they split up, for example, The Supremes themselves and Diana Ross. the same happens with kpop - we have Girls Gerantion and Taeyeon, Sistar and Hyorin, Wonder Girls and Sunmi, 4Minutes and Hyuna, 2ne1 and CL, and this is something that many people are mistaken in thinking, as Asian groups are more seen as more cooperative. That's why many kpop companies create a group based on the 'concept', because yes, starting with a sound or an idea, in principle, makes a group focus on that and avoids conflicts of interest. Furthermore, the members have positions such as main vocalist, lead vocalist, main rapper, etc., which end up being very important to, perhaps, understand that each one has their role within the group and the kpop public values these positions **very much**. But all of this ends up generating disputes later, whether for the spotlight that many Western musical groups receive, or for the mistreatment that members outside of the main positions receive in kpop. Something that I see in common in these two industries is that, when creating a concept that values certain members and not others (something that occurs in both kpop and the West), a great deal of dissatisfaction is created with the work that is being done. Furthermore, the group limits itself in terms of creativity - look, I'm not saying that it's impossible to have your own sound, but you can have a musical identity without delivering repetitive and limited work, something that happens A LOT in kpop. BTS's vocal line is very interesting to me, as I've been listening to musical groups for years, because generally groups follow a specific vocal tone and rarely differ so much vocally from each other if they want to make a certain type of music. In kpop, higher vocals are highly valued and there have been cases where a member lost their voice because they forced a higher voice and ended up hurting their vocal cords. I liked BTS since the start because 1. they make music that they want to make; they have their hiphop albums because that's how they started (as a hiphop group, it was Bighit's proposal), but over time, hiphop alone was no longer what represented them, they wanted to expand musically both as a group and individually, Then the solos came, and I think from then on they grew a lot and started to no longer be afraid to take risks, so much so that if you compare the solos on Wings, the first album with solo songs, they are totally different from the solos on Love Yourself: Answer, which are totally different from Map of the Soul: 7's solos. They're like a chameleon, so much so that it's hard for you to tell what kind of music BTS makes - but you'd know the 'BTS style' anywhere, because they have a musical identity, even if it is not based on a specific genre. And 2. the voices are distinct and they take advantage of this, instead of forcing everyone to sing in just one tone or just one style, they use their different voices for different genres and styles, which allows them to be valued - just to list a few examples: Taehyung with more soul/jazz music, Seokjin with classic rock and emotional ballads, Jungkook with pop-r&b, Jimin with r&b and more acoustic music. Ofc, the members can and have done other genres that challenged them vocally and that made them 'refine their vocals' as some said recently. Anyway, it's clear that they love each other and are a family and that motivated them to continue for more than ten years, but in the music industry, love alone is not what makes you stay in a group, because I've seen groups that like each other, but they want something else for their careers (Little Mix/Destiny's Child). What I mean is that they are also a movement, and this movement allows them to explore themselves artistically both as a group and individually. And this is very important to survive in the industry.

I love Jackpot Army but I disagree with the video presented. She uses exaggeration to make some points which is weak. Example words like forever and don't last are unusable here. Alright just in my opinion.
