Tom's songs with humor are my favorites. He tries getting his point of view out there in different ways and maybe someday it will get through to people. Something you said made me think that America is all about cultural appropriation. People all over the world melding to work under our Constitution. It's a beautiful concept and I thought it worked quite well but now people want to tear it up.

Yes, I APPRECIATE so many cultures. Appropriating culture means you're using it negatively or making fun of it. What's it going to come to...we're not allowed to eat food from other cultures, we can't use certain technologies because they were invented by someone in another culture, etc etc etc??? Isn't this country supposed to be the melting pot of the world?

Yes, or albinos. I went to school with a girl who looked white, except for her REALLY course curly hair, which was blonde. Her sister looked totally different and was a lighter skinned black woman. But I believe one of their parents was white.
