I understand the dark hole of depression and not understanding why. I too had a great life and didn’t think I had anything to be depressed over. Over a long time I began to learn it was more of me crashing from years of anxiety, life situations and difficulties of transitioning to my new life at the time. I was newly married and didn’t have to work and so I crashed because I knew subconsciously I had someone to catch me and that I didn’t have to keep pushing through life.

Stay at home mom here, I was working as a nurse before I quit my job to stay with our baby at home. Now, I decided to make this full time and just rented a storage unit last week. I feel the same though, I don’t think my family including my husband, takes this seriously. I don’t even know how to explain what I do without being judge. But nothing will stop me, I want to do this. Thank you for sharing Mogi. We appreciate you. I am learning a lot from you. We love you! Can’t wait for more resources ! Thank you 💕

I started listing some things from my closet in January, I believe. I thought I'd just list some things and see what happens. As I did that, I looked up videos to learn more about how I could improve as a reseller. Thank everything good that I came across your channel. Hands down...you approach this process with respect, humility, kindness, transparency, and devotion. I have learned sooooo much from you, my friend. Thank you for sharing personal challenges with us, as well. You reach so many of us. You're not just 'doing the Poshmark thing'...you touch so many people that you've never even met in person. I wish you every beautiful, joyful, loving, successful blessing that your heart can imagine. Thank you, Mogi Beth.

I can empathize with so much in your story, down to the traumatic childhood, the suicidal ideations, and the blatant bullying and sexism in a male dominated field. Hearing your story allows me to further appreciate your videos, and also brings me more motivation to continue trying at being a reseller. Thank you for being so honest, and sharing. Your videos have been super helpful.

Omg I so love watching your videos and I really appreciate you for this video. I think so many ppl fabricate their real experiences and only highlight the good to get ppl hyped up and interested in what they are talking about. I also think lots of people are vague ab how they got started and what advantages and knowledge they may have had before getting started that may have made it easier for them. Reselling is one of my many side hustles and the one thing that gets to me mentally is ppl acting like I don’t work. It’s really hard to deal with so it’s great to hear you say that even though your business is doing so awesome ppl still don’t recognize you and your talent and what you actually do. I think the sooner I realize that I should stop trying to prove to ppl that this is legit work and just focus on my vision for my companies the better off I will be mentally

I love your Grandma's story and I love that you shared your story! My father had bipolar disorder and worked really hard to maintain healthy mental stability because he loved his family ... My son also has bipolar disorder (He's your age) and refuses to deal with it and life is tough for him. I am so aware of the struggles from a family members perspective and am proud of you for all that you do and for sharing so others may feel hopeful! I just retired but need to continue working and you have given me so much information as a reseller! And as a side note! That top is beautiful, you always have the most beautiful tops! And I love your bedding!

It is probably more important than you could imagine telling us about your mental health struggles. Most people are not willing to talk about it to others, but it is really a help for people to know they are not alone, and that they can still succeed in life. I am very grateful that you share your experience and knowledge to us resellers. You certainly inherited your grandmother's work ethic and tenacity! I love following your journey. Keep up the great work!

I feel like I just listened to myself talk. A lot of similar experiences for childhood and how I now interact with the world. Just know you're not alone. It takes so much strength to process it and move forward. Thank you for sharing your experience. It gives me so much hope that I can do it too. I have a full time career that is extremely stressful and it definitely impacts my sales. I need to take 2-3 weeks off and just decompress and spend time processing all of my inventory. Doing 5-10 listings a day when I have 200 items to list and constantly have new things coming in... doesn't make a dent! hahaha!

I’m so thankful I met you through reselling Morgan! This video was so raw, honest, and delivers a message of persistence that many of us could use right now. It’s hard to be a woman in business, and often you get told No or get knocked down. Sexism in business is very real. That being said, I think that’s why women make some of the best leaders. We persist through the challenges because we believe in why we started. It sure isn’t easy, but it’s worth it!

It's takes SUPER courage to be public and transparent about your personal struggles. I never comment on anyone's channel but you are to be applauded for your bravery and commitment to persevere! 💪🔥 Thank you for acknowledging and commenting on the sexism/ discrimination women face on multiple fronts- impressed on me even more to be a numbers gal. 😉 Appreciated your advice on placing importance on behavioral health as an entrepreneur to avoid developing unhealthy habits. Super impressed, very inspired and truly admired looking back on your journey. Looking forward to more of your adventures!

Hi Mogi Beth. I've been watching your channel for around 3 months. I have a business background and appreciate the way you present your videos and teach folks how to do things. I've learned so much from you. My reseller journey began from a few here and there sales in 2019 to part time reseller in 2020. Not so much due to the pandemic, but due to family issues that I need to be home more than before. Reselling has allowed me to do this.

Thank you for sharing. Enjoyed getting to know YOU better - been watching your hauls for a while now. You are an inspiration. I gave up my private practice as a Mental Health Counselor 2 years ago to work as a professional organizer which is SO much fun. I love my job! It’s so scary to give up a career you feel you should have for an opportunity you are passionate about. Now I am leaning more into other activities I enjoy - thrifting being one of them. I love the treasure hunt, and saving things from being thrown away. Keep being you , take the breaks you need , and as long as you’re comfortable and as long as it adds to your life - I’m happy to keep watching your content. You rock! Thanks Mogi Beth! Much love!

Dearest Mogi Beth, Your story touched my heart . I often wonder if entrepreneurship is akin to mental illness... as an entrepreneur myself for over 40 years, I suffered bouts of everything under the sun... It takes so much faith and determination to follow your entrepreneurial heart. Thankfully you have a strong net (family) that caught you when your resolve wasn't enough. The darkness can overwhelm... stay true to the light, get help as you see the need. Don't ever doubt that you are helping others. Your grandmother's entrepreneurial spirit is strong within you. Much love, PeggyRose a kindred spirit.

A family member has a similar story, her niche is communications. College, pt work, glass ceiling, but anxiety and depression were crushing. Turns out the anxiety/depression were from severe POTS syndrome . The knowledge changed her life. No more anxiety/depression beyond a normal person. She is medicine free. She diets/exercises based on her chronic illness. She has been episode free for almost 2 yrs. It has set her free to have a wonderful career, healthy marriage, her first child and a wonderful experience in motherhood during these trying times. I share this as a story of hope and possibility. Godspeed!

I started on Poshmark because I needed to sell a string of MikiMoto pearls for my boss… Which I Severely underpriced… Then I sold a Saint johns coat that she gave me that just didn’t fit right, and I knew she really did not want it so I felt comfortable with that. After that it was onward and upward although my sales aren’t that spectacular, I find such a great pleasure in reselling, it’s my hobby and it gives me something to do other than go out and spend money on myself. It’s giving me hope about my future and working until I am elderly I will never give this up! Thank you Mogi Beth! you are truly an inspiration for us all💫✨⚡️

Thank you for sharing your story. You are an amazing role model. There are so many people struggling with similar emotional issues, and the fact that you openly shared your struggles and how you overcame them let's others know that there are ways to pull yourself out. So many of the depression issues are hormone related, and people do not understand that. You don't bash someone for having diabetes, and neither should you for mental illness or depression. I would bet that with all the views this has gotten, 13,667 as of this date, you unknowingly had a very positive impact on many people. Thank you for sharing.

Wow that was incredibly moving. You've been so kind to take the effort to share your reselling techniques and that's what I was expecting of this video however I feel this is the most important one you've made. Thank you for venturing out of your comfort zone and sharing your story. It's brave souls like yourself who are encouraging others to come out of the shadows & help erase the stigma "western" culture places on mental health. Unfortunately here it's perfectly acceptable to talk about your diabetes, your gluten sensitivity, your back pain, etc. yet taboo to discuss what's going on in your brain, the most important organ in your body, especially when mental health issues (depression, anxiety, psychological trauma, ptsd, etc.) affect every one of us at some point in our lives. You GO girl! BIG HIGH FIVE & GOD BLESS YOU :)

I relate to you and mental health when I was your age and it was very difficult back then when even the mention of depression was taboo. You’re life journey is what truly evolves you into who you really are with a strong sense of self awareness and love. All the hard knocks will make you come back a stronger and better you! You have inspired me to be better and stronger with purpose 💕

I feel like its really rare for me to watch a video fully through and fully listen to what is said. I really appreciated this and enjoyed listening to your entrepreneurial story! I recently got into reselling, and I too had one heck of a journey to get to this point. Similar to you, I have found reselling to be a great opportunity for me and enjoyed it so much. Love watching your videos!!!

What a beautiful and raw video! Thank you for sharing your story. I’ve come to reselling and poshmark during such a weird time of my life, and it’s been so good for me. I can’t wait to learn more from you. Happy Poshing, girl!

Thanks, Mogi Beth! Your vulnerability is greatly appreciated -- I'm a lifelong anxiety sufferer -- and I appreciate the inspiration. If you haven't already, please consider doing a video about how you organize/store all of your inventory. That's my biggest challenge--I only have a small space in my home office so everything is in bins and there's a LOT of steaming and ironing that has to take place. I color code it but every time I get an order I think, "OK, let's hope I can find this thing." Would love to know what system of organization you use if you'd be open to sharing. Congratulations on your success!

Hey! I just wanted to drop by and say that you are truly an inspiration. I'm only a few months into reselling, unsure of where it will take me but seeing this video and how very similar you and your story is to mine is incredibly refreshing to hear. Thanks again, keep doing you!

There are parts of your story that so closely parallel my life. Thank you for your vulnerability and authenticity. As always, I’ll be looking forward to watching your next contribution and I need to get on your emailing list ! ❤️🌺

I am lots older than you but definitely look up to you! Thank you for sharing your story. I am not ready to share mine but will say not all lives get off to a great start but I intend to finish strong! I started reselling about a year ago and have learned a lot from your videos. It is such a great fit for me.

You are the smartest sweetest Posher. I was raised in NYC, move with my mom and dad to California when I was 15. It was hard as I had just finished my freshman year in my new HS. My depression started then. I'm in nursing now and I started Posh out of my closet too. I would love to do it full time so I too just love it. Thank you for sharing this story with us. XOXO 🙋🏻🙅🏻💜

Hey Mogi! I've been watching you from Wichita!! I'm just getting started re-selling and I love your content!! Thanks so much for the encouragement and the wonderful example you are, both professionally and personally!! I think you're fantastic! I share some of the same personal history. You are courageous to share and to keep doing life when darkness lurks not far away. I'll be watching!!! You're a born leader!! Keep being wonderful!!!

Thank you so much for sharing your reselling journey. As a role model, I think it's incredibly admirable that you would share about some issues that used to be considered weaknesses. Vulnerability paired with authenticity definitely equals strength in my eyes. It's so inspiring to see someone with such ambition not settle for a career that isn't their passion. Unfortunately, I'm not in the same space. My "real" job doesn't make me happy but it provides a lifestyle that I enjoy. However, as a hobby, reselling really quenches my thirst for fashion, photography, making people happy and shopping! I no longer put extra energy in my "real" job, instead I reserve it to push harder at my "dream" job when I get home each day. You were so brave and relatable and I truly appreciate you sharing your history with the world! I can't wait to see how you continue to grow as your business expands! Aloha

OMG! Wow!! SO many parallels! Yes--growing up in that kind of eggshell environment is terrifying. Especially when you're young and don't know how to make sense of it. I'm so sorry you had to and continue to experience that. It's so hard. But I can't believe we both have blue owls!! Can't wait to watch your story! I'm not sure how to tag on KZbin, but if you have an IG, dm me the link when you post it!

@@MogiBeth So true, I've been out of the house for 9 years now but my mom still has to deal with it obviously. I like to limit my visits home to only a few days because if I stay too long inevitably something happens. Covid is giving me an excuse this year to keep some distance lol. I wish therapy wasn't so taboo (in certain communities) because he could definitely use it. Yes, I have instagram and will send you a link once my videos up :) (won't be getting into family stuff, just reseller related, but should still be interesting).

Thank you so much for sharing your story and reseller journey!! I love hearing stories of how people got to where they are today :) It's funny our little similarities.. I just started working at Starbucks and recently got a part-time job at Lululemon! I was working in hospitality with a catering company as an event producer and before that as a server/bartender. I was thinking about real estate too but have not pursued it. Listening to your story gives me hope in pursing reselling as a full-time opportunity. Poshfest sounds like an awesome experience that I definitely want to attend one day! :) Anyways, I'm glad I stumbled upon your content early on in my reseller journey! Thanks for all the inspiration

Wow, thank you for sharing your journey. I really appreciate it. I’m a single mom of 3 kids and I wanted a work that let me take care of them, and reselling was the best option because you can do it from home, I started two months ago selling on Poshmark , thanks to you I’m learning a lot because I had no idea. Also I love thrifting and now I have the best excuse to go to look for treasures 🤪. Blessings and thank you for inspiring a lot of people including me.

Really interesting to hear your story. :) And thank you for opening up. I didn't know reselling can be a full-time business until I watched your 5 tip story. I have clothings listed on Poshmark from my own closet that seems take forever to sell, so I was looking for tips and tricks for Poshmark. Then I stumbled upon your video and it opened my eyes. I decided that I want to do this as a side hustle. No success so far. But I'll keep on pushing for a little longer, and see how it goes. Just want to say THANK YOU! And you are amazing!
