Notice her rant is based on what she FELT when watching specific scenes of a film. "I FELT its inappropriate..." "I FELT he was looking at her...." "I FELT she dressed....." Jody was spot on when he said there is an AGENDA going on. George, this isn't just the internet. I have met these people in my college. And if you do make it big in something, and you do something wrong that has any amount of attention to them - your place even in your corner of the world, might be physically boycotted, and have all your good name run right through the ringer of the hearsay market. Don't try to downplay this to "just the internet" to a thing that has already destroyed a great deal of lives, in the real world, simply because the people in your circles weren't attached to them. That is a narrow view, and akin to why people don't think anecdotal evidence is any good, because by the virtue of it, it is by itself cherry picking.

+M. N. And I would argue even further, that is only a slamming indictment of the problem with all of this. There shouldn't be anything wrong with going directly to your coworker, and saying, damn, you look smoking hot. Provided this isn't some sort of harassment campaign, and you are within some reason (like saying it over and over again over a few days just fishing out reactions and causing issues). But it and of itself? I see nothing wrong with the idea. The problem that we don't do it here, is because we know if anyone tried that, we would get the BUT YOUR ARE SEXUALLY HARASSING ME SIR, and most people don't even want to deal with that. So people walk on eggshells. Despite what I think should actually be a perfectly valid, and in some cases, even warranted thing to say. PC going way too far. This is one of the major reasons I do not, and refuse to ever identify as a feminist. Oh and yes, I do support equality.

Addison Leavitt, You are better than the hypocrites, but that doesn't save you. There is nothing wrong with showing people in skimpy clothing no matter what sex they are, with rocking hot bodies. You want to know why? Because only the ignorant, stupid, stupid fucking people see that and go to think "they are nothing but a sex object, and are only objects, not thinking human beings". No, most people realize they are just fucking hot, but still have plenty of other things to be able to see them do. Hell, even the characters who are mainly for eye candy, when people complain about those characters outside of feminists - it is usually not because they are "nothing but a sex toy", but simply undeveloped, shallow characters. But that isn't helped nor hurt by them also being great eye candy. And if you have an issue with human nature being human nature (there is nothing wrong with looking at hot people, no matter your sex - we are wired for it) - that is on you. I encourage you to instead, teach the message to everyone they don't have to hide from their bodies, or anyone else's. Showing hotter people than you doesn't make you better or worse, nor does it mean you can't enjoy them. Nor does it mean they aren't people, or can't be strong, intelligent, resourceful independent hot people outside of their looks. *THIS WHOLE TOPIC IS ALTOGETHER A STUPID TOPIC.*

KUDOS Jody AND MAD RESPECT for you. As a woman I was offended by what Grace said because it was as you said, blown completely out of proportion. I was especially angered when she had the gall to blame Gal as if she had the power to change anything at the time because most of JL was being filmed before WW was released and was not the huge blockbuster it became. She seems to have a problem with cleavage and has forgotten that in BvS she wore low cut dresses as well, but nothing that any woman with a body like hers would not wear at an event. True feminism is about equality without forsaking femininity or sexuality. A true feminist is a woman who does not expect to have a man be the one to make the first move or always paying for a meal on a date because she is confident in herself and has no fear of going after what she wants or refusing what she does not. She is comparing JL to the clothes she wore in WW which was set way back in the 1910's and Diana was always confused whenever Steve or Etta continuously closed her cape because I believe Diana feels as though the human body is nothing to be ashamed of. She said as much when seeing the corset and asked Etta why any woman would want to have their stomachs held into something so restricting if it was not armor. Also, Gal herself who is clearly a feminist wears revealing clothing in many of her photo shoots. Grace seems to have a problem with strong independent woman being comfortable in their own skin. Also the jokes in JL are not offensive at all. I mean the Flash fell on top of her because he is still clumsy and was embarrassed when it happened and jumped up so quickly. I mean it's not like he stayed there and pushed his face in her cleavage. BTW it would be crazy if these men did not crush on her considering her beauty and balls and the fact that she is the only woman among them. It would be out of character for them not to love or be attracted to a woman as kind and lovely as Diana. Sorry for the rant but I am as MAD as you are and needed to vent. Continue being the REALEST Jody.m xox Kim, from Canada.
@davonbryant98487 жыл бұрын
💯 The time period Wonder Woman was set it didn't allow for her to wear certain attire as it would have been seen as inappropriate back then. However WW, not being from "man's world" didn't understand that. If not for Steve, she would have worn her Amazonian armor the whole movie

Aye... I've read DC and Marvel comics since '71. I'm right there with you. I have always loved strong female characters, have friends that are gay, both men and women. Grace just flips off the deep end in several of her videos, BUT this one takes the cake... The rumor mill, wayyyyyy back over a year ago was that Zack was playing with the Batman, Wonder Woman dynamic from the animated Justice League from the 90's early 2000's... Hell... WW was the only JL member that could even remotely hang in there physically with Superman. Jody listen... I lean more towards Marvel than DC, BUT I am with you 100% about Grace's video about Justice League. She literally comments that at points during the moving she thought it was going to turn into a PORNO...!??? I AM 100% behind fairness, respect, and morality. I see too many people Like Grace going nuts about absolutely nothing now. And, it worries me... Hell man, I'm getting scared to open my mouth about anything anymore. GREAT VIDEO JODY. 3:40 ON POINT!! I remember grace sharing all those false rumors of how the movie will suck, with her worried tone and expressions... She live on these things, on the drama. Many of her fans forget her pre WW premiere videos... YOU AWESOME FOR REMINDING THEM OF WHAT GRACE CHOSE TO PUBLISH. You figured her out exactly man. Trying to make WW into a "gender politics" issue is just no paying respect for her character. She stands for "acting for the greater good of humanity", not "Women vs men". After all, as you said, ww is a goddess, she doesn't need anyone. But she use her powers to do what she believes is right, which is protecting what is good in the world. But man, did Grace STRUGGLED to find the tiniest bits in order to make JL seem like a one big Gal fap video. I mean, 2:30 This is just her mind telling her "Box... Gal and a box... box.. ooh, A BOX! A WOMAN'S BOX! THEY'RE TALKING ABOUT GA'S BOX!! OH! OH! SEXISTS!". Come on. COME, ON. 24:18 Well, you right about that. Gal does despite this overly pc "feminism". She hated the stuff about the hairy armpits. She always answer "feminist" questions with "WW stand for the greeter good and not for just women or stuff like that". She wanted facepalm when Ezra asked her to say something really stupid... And then not to offend hi, she said something different that sounds better: kzbin.info/www/bejne/baPYlmWepJtjns0 You could literally see how she dislikes this bullshit. I also read comments like that on Gal's interview. "Feminists" bash her for saying, "I wanted wonder woman to be strong but also feminine, loving, caring, soft, so that her powers... And not just cold and tough". I guess they find problem with what feminine means... One comments even said that ww smiled way to much and it's so that men will not feel intimidated by her powers. TOTAL BS like this...

Addison Leavitt It is not responsible on her part to treat mare rumors from unknown and untrustworthy sources, as if they were solid facts. She had a huge channel dedicated to movie news and reviews, many people listen to what she has to say. She can't just make a huge video in such a serious tone, discussing rumors like they were facts. And as we saw, those rumors were indeed rumors and Grace made a fool of herself, again. And I say fool but as time goes by and we are further exposed to her tactics, I think that "scumbag", would be more appropriate to her.
@briannalee19986 жыл бұрын
squashedeyeball completely AGREE! I love how Wonder Woman is kind, caring, and smiles. A lot of people think she’s a misandrist, but she isn’t in the comics. She’s a hero for men and women and SJWs need to stop ruining the character’s reputation by making her a divisive character with gender politics. Remember the video she did about the behind the scenes CW video of WW before the movie was made and she was nitpicking and complaining about the movie Months before it was filmed. In the video she paused at a but job of Diana’s and complained about the body liners under her skirt which was so stupid and negative. She didn’t have Wonder Woman’s back to begin with!!

Not sure how true this is but word is, she was fired because she put her Marvel gig on her resume, she was told that Ike Perlmutter directly objected to this and demanded she be dropped. Which makes sense when you think about how she seems to revel in any sort of negative news about Perlmutter.

Thank you, Jody for this video, I'm so tired of Grace Randolph mendacious bull. She stays, spreading logical fallacies, and typically she never has any cogent points. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 @Jody's Corner

I watched her video prior to this and it made me feel uneasy because many of the points she made(like you pointed out in your video) were just too much. Loved hearing another youtuber talk against this. I’m subscribing

I will say that some of what Grace said was a reach. BUT I do agree that it was weird/unnecessary objectification. Especially when Barry fell into her chest(which Grace said Whedon put in the film on some shady ish) and you say this was a joke but the theatre i saw it in only this creepy older guy laughed at it. When Aquaman was sitting on the lasso him saying everybody else was a warrior and commenting on her beauty/wanting to date her was also odd - when MERA is in the film and their relationship will be explored in his solo film. We all know Gal Gadot is beautiful but what made Wonder Woman so great as a film was that it wasn't a real focus, her power was the focus. I also think the film could've done without the Bruce/Diana love tension. They could've used that time on fleshing out the story really

I agree with you Jody! I’ve seen the movie, which I think shouldn’t have been cut by 45 minutes, and seen Grace R’s vid and disagree like you with her take on it. Jody, keep on keeping on. Thank you xo

I think the point you are missing here is this: for me as a woman, watching how Patty J filmed Gal in Wonder Woman was so drastically different than anything I had seen before. Gal was portrayed as strong, beautiful on the inside, wise, and kind. Never once during that movie did I feel like Gal was just being valued for her appearance alone. The difference between WW and JL and what made me sad with how she was filmed in JL was that most of the time we WERE getting butt shots, low cut shirts, and her being tied to each team member in a sexual way. The relief and safety most women felt when they watched Wonder Woman was because for once a movie wasn't just focusing on beauty, and sex appeal, so going back to that old framework in JL just kinda sucked and was really noticeable and not as empowering. And this is coming from someone who really enjoyed the movie! But I hugely noticed the sexual context that Gal was placed in and wasn't a fan.

Jodys new strategy of acquiring/transfering subscribers is straight criminal. Unvealing thruths and opening cases. I love that. Jodys always 100% and does not shy away to speak his mind no matter how provoking it is (even when being truthfull means challenging your on passion like BvS) You are a rare breed Jody. And we should all be thankfull that unlike many other youtubers we can count on you always staying in character.

Thank you for this one Jody. I've long advocated that feminism is about every woman embracing all she is, which includes being sexy, intelligent, powerful, strong and not being tossed aside because of that. Acknowledgment by others of those traits and being drawn to it isn't a crime.
