Out of all the comments I read, these are my favorite! You all understand. And like you said it's crucial to star was and Bombastic made a point as well it would be weird if tatooine wasn't in the game since it's a scoundrel game tatooine is literally a scoundrel paradise of a planet it is a big part of the underworld crime area in th galaxy. And if I may add a personal opinion note. Some people are dumb and love to complain just for the sake of it. Like they say, one thing they don't like about a game and then when/if it gets taken out, they complain about how it's gone like for example apparently peopl3 wanted the national pokedex gone in the pokemon games and when it did get taken out they complained about how it was gone now I could be remembering all of that wrong and I know this is a star wars game video and discussion and pokemon has nothing to do with that but I'm trying to make a point and I think it still stands

Heck yeah seeing more of Dantooine and Corellia would be dope since we've seen very little of the two. The only time we got to see Dantooine was in the 2003 Clone Wars Mini Series where Mace Windu fought off an entire Droid Army with nothing but his bare hands and the force, such a bad ass moment too. Still it is a lush farmland type land so having that exploreable and expanding on it would be pretty cool no less.

one that i would love to get shown more is Rodia, i did allot of research on the planet, its history, Rodians (im playing a Rodian bounty hunter in a edge of the empire campaign) and its actually so cool and interesting, i have had alot of fun deep diving into how growing up there would affect a person and how they grow and develop later on when exposed to the rest of the world, unfortunately there are no real good depictions from what i have found that show Rodia, only the awsome lore that i have been able to find around the internet, and a short showing of rodia in the clonewars where what we did get to see was not at all like Rodia is on average in lore, just interacting with like 1 politician from there.

I somewhat disagree. Star Wars is an entire universe of thousands of planets, but for the last couple of years, you keep seeing THAT one DESERT planet all the time. If I didn't know any better its to save money on reused assets. Also, miles of barren land is easier to create than a full cityscape like Coruscant. And that criticism comes BEFORE the horrible movie, comics and TV shows that came out which further hurts the brand.

Star Wars: Galaxies was open world, and you could explore everything on Tatooine. On release even major landmarks like Jabba's Palace were unmapped and you had to figure out how to find them. But it's not a game most people could experience now and pretty thin by modern standards. Since you enjoy open world Star Wars you might try an emulation server.

Its be cool if you have the option to go to lukes house, the closer you get you slowly black out and return to the roaming area with a faint whisper of Obi-Wan telling you this is not the place your looking for as a nod to him protecting luke and knowing Kay may pose a threat and lead the empire to luke. So you get a cameo, in canon reason for not going to find luke and a nod to a new hope during the imperial checkpoint when they were look for C3PO and R2D2. Just a thoguht 🎉

Andrew, you should really check out Star Wars Galaxies, the first *actual* open-world Star Wars game and also the first Star Wars MMO. You could literally play however you wanted; you could play the entire game as a bartender, you could track down Rebels for the Empire, and there was even a system to build your own city with friends. Once you earned enough credits, you could also buy your own ship that could land, takeoff from planets, and yes jump to lightspeed. It's no longer online, but there are plenty of private servers that let you get a taste of what it was like.

I would like there to be more variety in games, and I would also like it if more star wars games were like in an experimental and innovative place in videogames like they were back in the 90s and 2000s. But this game in particular was pitched as a big ol' open world, and this is kinda the nature of most open worlds, and they're popular for a reason. Big open world games don't tend to be very systems-driven, they're big playgrounds with attractions for you to visit and missions for you to go through. I don't think it's anything to be ashamed of that it's going to be what it was planned to be. The need for Disney to let more studios play around more with the license is a separate issue.

interesting, but at the point when the person has been invited to press conferences, etc., the statement "I haven't been paid to say" doesn't hold much weight by itself. at that point, the person's opinion is no longer in the position of an ordinary person and it is clouded by privileges, no matter how honest the person is.+ there have often been occasions where a game is shown to few in advance and then when it is published it is rubbish. in such occasions the creators/publishers of the game decide what is seen, of course it's a Ubisoft game, so if you've played any of their open world games this latest one is unlikely to be all that different. the game is still overpriced and the DLC policy brazenly greedy. there is no impartial person and especially not if that person has been invited and made it to a unique press event and then to an amusement park. everything has a price. even when someone offers something for "free". and even if you have to pay for something, you have information that the rest of us don't have, and I assume that you can't tell some of it. and if you were really honest, the likelihood of getting into new press conferences would decrease astronomically. those who are really honest are rarely invited. there is certainly a lot of good and truth in this video, but how much is another question in itself. + of all the companies, at least in my opinion, Ubisoft and EA deserve the least right to another chance. + I would have liked the opportunity to create my own character. the first open world star wars game and no character creation is a real wasted opportunity in my opinion. of course, I admit I'm not the biggest star wars fan, but the idea of ​​an open world star wars game has always intrigued me, this might be it, but since there is no character creation, I can't really paint my own star wars fantasies from the point of view of my (own character). If we’re talking Ubisoft games, then Outlaws looks gorgeous. If we’re comparing it to anything else, it looks like a game graphics and animations from 2017 or earlier

Never forget the skull and bones scam by Ubisoft, they knew it was an underbaked product that would flop and they released it anyways. The problem isn’t the non customizable character, it’s Ubisoft. Don’t buy it.

If anyone complains about the quality dropping a little apparently they never played a Ubisoft game before. I like Ubisoft but they are kinda known for bullshotting their games. Kinda like how Division 1 Was. However bullshotting or not Ubisoft always seems to have very detailed environments and pretty damn good graphics. And as someone who loves the Division and Ghost Recon. As far as I see it's on that level. So I'm not worried. I'm not too worried about game play. And the immersive world they creat Ubisoft Massive seems to do that very very well. I'm more concerned about the length of the game and replayablity I also like Tomb Raider but what I hate about Tomb Raider is how short it is and the lack of replay ability Devs expecting me to pay full price or more and I can beat the game in a few hrs and I don't even max everything out before I get to the end? I'm more concerned about this turning into Ghost Recon Breakpoint. Where you have to pay to get threw the story. And it not taking very long before you get there. And they are asking for $70? And it is the most basic version with content behind a pay wall? I probably get Bulder's gate 3 before I get star wars outlaws. Not exactly rich I'll wait till I see more game play.

The ai seems really brain dead. The loud blaster shots don't alert them to your presence and for the price of the game the stuff like facial mocap should be s+ tier not this.

So, my issue with is solely Ubisoft. I feel they're take on open world is very dated, especially with games like Tears of the Kingdom, Elden Ring, etc. raising the bar with what open worlds could be. I'm still gonna give this a shot, it doesn't look bad at all but because of Ubisoft I don't have very high hopes for this TBH

The fact that the prices for it are OVERPRICED is already a big no no. Past Ubisoft behavior, and from what we can see right now, this is less than promising.

I mean... Star Wars has to take place somewhere. And if we are looking at the first 6 movies, there's only a handful of places, which I feel are just about equally used. Largely in part due to the fact that many games have been movie adaptations. So yeah, is Tatooine in every Lego Star Wars game? Sure... but so is Naboo and Endor. Is it in battlefront? Of course. But so is Naboo and Endor. Star Wars the Old Republic? Well, Tatooine is there. But you also have Dantooine, Kashyyyk, Taris, Manaan and so on. We can look at the many prequel games we got in the 2000's. None of which actually included Tatooine. The Force Unleashed? Tatooine only appeared as a DLC. Star Wars Fallen Order/Survivor. No Tatooine. Squadrons, no tatooine. Lego Force Awakens, nope. Dark Forces, Clone Wars, Phantom Menance, Revenge of the Sith and possibly more. Many games do not feature Tatooine. You guys simply don't like one of the original and iconic locations that Star Wars takes place in. What next? Space is overused and should be excluded from future games?

Still wish this went full role-playing open world. I love Star Wars, but I like playing characters where I can see/imagine myself as them. I just don’t do that with female protagonists. I think it’s great that those games exist, to be fair, and Star Wars hasn’t had one since the campaign of that last Battlefront, but man I really, really wanted to get into this game. Loved the Jedi games, but I wanted to play as a non-Jedi character in the Star Wars universe. Those cancelled Boba Fett or other bounty hunter games seemed awesome too, so this kind of fills that void in a lot of respects. But I can’t create my own character, so I’ll just settle for watching the cutscenes.

Where TF is Kotor 3? Why does everything Kathleen does is just forced down our throats to nausea and most none of it really feels connected at all to the galaxy I grew up with but more just some fever dream nightmare with her agenda over any creative ambitious new things within an already established galaxy with already established rules! Wtf. Right away there should have been a Mandalorian game, Kotor 3 and republic commando: bad batch first person sequel. Or a Jedi Knight sequel going further into Luke's academy and lore. I just can't believe this crap and the acolyte is hilariously bad on every level! F*CK!!!!

I agree I've been really excited for Tatooine in this game. Yes there are MANY Star Wars Games but ever since the new EA Battlefronts and Battlefront II showing off how beautiful Mos Eisley can be in gameplay I've always wanted a free roam Tatooine since then. Im also ready to explore the new planets also.

I don’t like the enemies responses to explosions and gunfire. They just simply go into “alert” mode after a barrel gets shot by a laser, crushes their buddy, and then explodes. Pretty telling on what the rest of the game will feel like. After playing an immersive experience like Cyberpunk this is going to feel like a downgrade. But maybe it will get continuous updates like Cyberpunk and four years down the road it’ll be enjoyable. Definitely gonna wait this one out I’m tired of companies releasing unfinished content and then gaslighting the consumer. The product should sell itself.

I disagree it's not an over reaction ubisoft hasn't been listening to it's player base for multiple releases as of late, completely destroyed the legacy of the crew, slandered japanese legends and culture and tore apart ghost recon at the seams! people are not happy with ubisoft and rightfully so! But besides all of the things ubisoft needs to address I'm actually hoping starwars outlaws will be a stellar experience because I've seen what ubisoft is really capable of and this is their chance to partially rebound after years of disappointments.

Playing Ghost Recon Wildlands with my buddy and I have to say that game is quite entertaining. I'm catiously optimistic about this game, it seems like most of it is made with love for Star Wars.

It’s possible we could see the star map Revan found in a cave in Kotor even though it’s not canon anymore I would love an Easter egg like that i’m glad Tattooine is in the game honestly

I know it’s supposed to be a game about non-Jedi, but I do hope they include a feature after finishing the game where you can play in the open world as a Jedi or Boba Fett or something. Only after complete if the story though, maybe even a 100% Easter egg

I think I would like it if we were able to find special character blasters on top of the one we will probably have all the time that we can only use once per battle incounter, maybe it could be solos dl-44, or we could breafly duel wield jango's westar-34's. You do more damage but the enemy can remember you much better if you come back to the planet if your wanted.
