You did a great job sharing your story!! Thanks for that. Currently I'm a truck driver with Swift and my hubby gave up his job of 22 yrs so that I could live my OTR dream. I began with this company solo December 7th 2013, the day after you began your blog. By January 2014, my hubby joined me. And by April 2014, we made the decision to move out of our apartment and put our things in storage. It wasn't long before we realized we were throwing money out the window paying rent, electricity, cable, internet, a car note and insurance on 2 vehicles....we sold one. We are looking for an RV as well because we found that we love the mobile lifestyle. This is the happiest we've been in 8 years!

I'm totally re-inspired man. I remember a guy I used to work with many years ago. He was close to retirement but had the vitality of a man decades younger. We all thought he would just cash in his chips and get a McMansion in Florida. However, he said he was going to sell his house, buy his RV, and take his wife all over the US. It was such a mind-blowing thing for us younger guys back then. The man died about a year or so after he retired. I can still see the freedom etched on his face, even when he was working a job more suited in pace to someone half his age. Keep 'em coming. I know I will do either a tiny home or RV one day. Who knows, maybe even both. :)

This is my first time posting on youtube. I really enjoy your videos and experiences. I am currently finishing my PhD in Physics here at University of Guelph in Canada. A few of my friends that have finished their degrees can't find any jobs and am looking to get a class C rv as a backup when I finish. I originally came from Abbotsford BC and really enjoy the landscape, mountains and trees that I see in your videos and it reminds me of back West. I think you are doing a great job posting and editing your videos and always look forward to watching another video of yours. Wish you the best.

Wow...you definitely have a history with homes on wheels... I'm surprised you never went the VW camper route... I owned my first one many years ago in college ~ it was a 1976 camper that I lived in for several years while attending school...good times. Since then I've owned various homes on wheels and now have both a 1991 Ford Econoline conversion van that I mostly use as my work horse . I took out the two back seats so I can carry all my music equipment and still use the bed to sleep in when doing overnight gigs. But my real love is my 1987 Toyota Sunland Express that I recently bought back in November of 2013...it has 50,000 miles on it and is in mint condition. I've been living in it ever since in my back yard and doing little trips here and there... Anyway, you so inspire me to live this way and I have learned so much from your videos. I can't wait to see your movie you've been working on. Thanks Eric ( and Jax ) for all you do. Safe travels brother...Peace

Great story! Kept my attention until the end!!!! Can't wait for the next story. SIDE NOTE: Took your advice on the Bear Extender and have been RVing in Alaska for the last 4 weeks. Haven't had a problem getting FREE WiFi everywhere. My wife has an iPad and has to be within 3 inches of the router to get reception. 3 times we were near motels with locks on the WiFi and we called the front desk and asked for the code. Got it every time !!! Thanks again....

I love your vids. I started out at 17 going from hostel to hostel, city to city. I picked up odd jobs here and there for spending cash. At about 20 I bought a Toyota corolla hatch back that ran very poor. I found it just needed a plug wire and purred nicely. I pulled the passanger seat and rigged it for Ummmm, living in. For about 2 yrs I lived in it or beside it depending on mood, weather and location. I bought a dodge ram d-50 mini truck with topper. That was home until I was 28. I rented a room for a yr until I bought a 3/4 ton ford with a Northern lite box camper. It had all facilities but was cramped a bit. I was getting a bit older so I lived in it while I took a truck drivers course. I drove truck 8 months a yr and camped 4. I loved it. Alas, it was a girl what done me in. I have been married until now. I am 47 and am really getting the RV bug again. I have a need to by a real motorhome by next summer at the latest. At least I can get out a few odd weeks here and there. Love your videos.

Well done Eric! I enjoyed your history of tent camping to nomad RV'er. I am now a subscriber and I am really digging your videos. I have dreamed of this lifestyle for years. I bought a low-milage 95 Ford cargo van about 5 years ago, had a new Maaco paint job put on it and that is as far as I got. Being married doesn't give one the opportunity to roam. I have been a traveling musician off and on most all my life so the traveling bug is in my blood! ☺️

Great Video, Eric! I've only started following your adventures recently, but I really admire your persistence. I enjoy your product reviews, and your tricks and tips are really well thought out and helpful to those just starting out or thinking about the boondocker lifestyle. I was upset that I missed out on your fund-raising effort to get a solar panel... primarily because I think there should be a way for subscirbers, like me, to donate to your on-going efforts or in appreciation for your videos. They are all of great audio and video quality. I can see you going far if you wish to pursue the field of documentary communications.
