Wow that guy is a genius. After he destroyed her life and put her in debt, he turned around and conned her into doing the same thing to other poor women. Fascinating how devious the human mind can be. Also that guy has big ones, even after she caught him scamming he slid right out of it, started romancing and scamming her all over again, wow if he wasn't so depraved and hadn't made his living off the sweat and tears of his female victims, I could kind of admire his chutzpah.

My thoughts exactly, the guy already lied and destroyed her, and I get her desperation, but 'lie to me or I'll end my life. Pay me back or I'll end my life' doesn't exactly sound stable either. I get that she slid down that slippery slope to at least get her money back, but she does acknowledge that she knew she was scamming others, and the potential to destroy someone else's life as hers was broken, but she did keep going on with the money laundering, and accepting the gifts he sent, knowing it was destroying someone else's life as hers was destroyed. In the end, (Just my thoughts), she's as greedy as he was and saying 'I know it was wrong...but...'doesn't vindicate her any. She kept lying, opening a new bank account, I mean, at some point, she knew it was wrong, but playing the victim after all the knowledge is just wrong too!

There is a new type of reverse type of scam. I met someone named Frankie who said his wife died in 911. And he raised his daughter Victoria by himself. She will be 25 in the few days. His initial profile. Said relationship marriage, intimacy. And he lived in New York. I questioned it, he changed it to marriage and relationship. He said he knows what he wants, and if his age he's not playing games. I go on the site after exchanging phone numbers and he changed where he came from from, New York to North Carolina. I questioned it if he was a scammer and he really protested and said don't ever say that again. After 10 days of Love bombing. Really seems like he cared, and understood women. He came on too strong almost like stalking. He bought a BMW showed me the photo for his daughter for her 25th birthday. She's away at school living with an aunt to become a pharmacologist. He then asked me what I was going to give his daughter for her birthday.? When we were talking I said I could never be her Stepmom. He said no you will be her mom she needs a mom. I said she was grown up and doesn't need a mother at 25. He then asked me what, I was going to give his daughter for her birthday? I said I don't know her and I don't send gifts to people I don't know. Plus I had had many birthdays this month and I can't afford it. He said if you love me, what's wrong in giving a gift to my daughter? We argued and he said it was okay, he should not have brought up the subject. Next morning I get a quote he copied offline.happy to know you're mine and I'm yours and it makes me happy and all that stuff. well I was off to my son's for the day and told him I probably wouldn't get in touch with him till the next day. For the hell of it I went on the Mingle 2 site again. There he was online and I called him on it. He said I don't owe you an explanation, of why I'm online here. Not waiting forever ,for a woman to love. He told me I was stingy and only cared about myself. That I was very selfish that I couldn't send his daughter a gift. Well I reported him to the Federal trade commission. I blocked all his numbers and I reported him, a few other places. These men really know how to lay it on thick. They spent hours romancing you and then they hit you for something.he told me in the beginning he didn't care what I had, or didn't have he wasn't materialistic and was looking for a loving woman to be happy with. I told him the guidelines on dating sites.they tell you never to send anything to anyone you have never met money or gifts. Of course he's blocked so I can't hear any answer back. Ladies if you get love bombed from the very beginning, and you haven't even met. That's a danger sign. If someone doesn't leave you alone, wants constant communication. Another sign. It's kind of funny everybody's widowed. And they have a child somewhere.when they start asking you for gifts, or Sephora cards for their daughters. That's a big sign. unfortunately scammers are all over these sites in the dating sites don't always remove them. Don't go off the site to quick. Text on the site for quite a while,if anything seems off don't give them your phone number to text and talk on the phone.No accent by the way this jerk claimed he was Norwegian he does have an accent After at least a month of text and talk you should be able to meet in public Remember your worth more, don't accept, players, predators or scammers. Guard your heart and your pocketbook. And don't ever take out a loan to help a jerk like them. A friend of mine gave $20,000 and lost her home. Stay safe ladies. We are I'm worth more than, these scumbags

By the way one more thing I made the mistake when I first got a smartphone in 2014. I gave the guy who was romancing me my address.he sent me roses and fruit for my birthday and Valentine's Day. then I read up where things were sent to people with stolen credit cards. I told him not to send me anything. He went for work, in Africa everything seemed fine. For over a year we texted. Then he had some trouble and needed money. Couldn't access his account. Well I finally told him off and got rid of him, because he got angry cuz I wouldn't send him money. He told me he wish I died and all kinds of crappy stuff. Called me names and swore at me. I told him I would report him and leave me alone. 7 months later, he sends me an email apologizing and give him a second chance. I told him if he contacted me I would contact the authorities and leave me alone. So don't give your email address, either.

Most money mules do not realize they’re being used but this woman knew exactly what she was doing. She should have gone to prison for theft and money laundering. she shouldn’t have gotten any money from the scammer because she gave her money away. She knowingly accepted money she knew was from other victims but she kept it because of her greed. She’s just as guilty and greedy as a scammer. Because of her own greed, her credit is ruined.

Sounds like same as my story with same name Tony Abad with Filipino mother. Fortunately, no matter how sweet he was telling me he loves me and getting in touch with me 3x a day and sent me flowers form accross the globe, I did not buy his story. From day one, I have questioned his motives and we fight almost every other day for 8 months. I still thought I was stupid for having been carried away by his sweetness and affection but that was all. I did not give any money at all. So for women out there, if you suspect something is wrong, trust your intuition. It works. Most specially, don't trust anyone you haven't met in person yet. Not even in person. Don't involve money in relationships. I hope my story helped too.

Most Americans have never met anyone from a foreign country, so they often are very naive about accents. I live in a very cosmopolitan city, and I once dated a guy from Cameroun. The West African accent is very distinctive.
@ScammingScammers2 жыл бұрын
Yes you are right and many victims who come to us are from countries where English is not their first language and they also have not been outside of their country so they are unsure what a true accent from say Norway or Finland etc sound like and many of these scammers will claim they are from European countries, people are innocent and many truly do not know any better. Where I live now, there is absolutely no diversity, so if I had been born and raised in this town, I would have no clue what someone from west Africa sounds like.

What strikes me in this story, is that the lady says she regrets what she did but it feels that she only regretted because she got into trouble. I disagree when she says ” Michael” used her and ruined her life. Yes , he did the first time but not after he confessed, after that she ruined her own life. She was scammed and this is awful but what she did as the result of that scam was as bad. She let him use her. I can understand that you would trust a scammer who confesses because you are on an emotional roller coaster but I don’t understand how you can do it to other people? She knew how hard it was for her when she lost her money. How she felt desperate. How she struggled. Yet, she did it to others. I am glad that lady was brave enough to share her story that others don’t do the same. She has been extremely lucky that the bank let her off lightly but Let’s not forget that she has no apologies to the people she helped scamming. She speaks about her nightmare but not of those who lost money because of her and Michael. She should not make excuses and wallop in self pity because it was her choice from being victim to become a perpetrator. And I just hope it never happen to any of us.

Scammers always mention at least three different countries. They use that as an excuse as to why they have the accent they have which makes no sense at all. Where your parents come from has nothing to do with your accent. Your accent is based on where you were raised that where your parents are raised. Accents or not inherited. They are developed. Unfortunately a lot of victims fall for the scammers excuse as to why they sound Nigerian and not American or whatever country they claim they were raised in.
