My sea was encore stage so she was definitely tired also she has some hearing problems which could have made her not perform well but she KILLED IT, I got goosebumps. you should check out the lyrics, they are absolutely amazing.

IMO, this is the best B-side track of her latest Lilac album. At the studio, during My Sea recording, she can manage to do the high notes part directly in just one take! You can search for the video footage on KZbin. Another fact you may need to know is, for the past year she was actually suffering from the Patulous Eustachian Tube Dysfunction that impacted her hearing and voice control and gave her pain during singing activity. That is why she often lowers her head to ease and balance her Eustachian Tube - it is not because she is making an effort for high notes, as you assume in this reaction. During rehearsal a week before the concert, she even practiced singing without music to anticipate the possibility that her PETS worsened at the show. And it is happening during day one of the Golden Hours show! As you can notice in this VM, she is not using the in-ear monitor on her left ear. It means, at that moment she is in pain! The unbeatable spectacular show is truly the only IU league with live big band and orchestra settings. No other artist ever did it in a live concert, but IU always did. Please do a reaction video to either IU concert 'Eight' Live Clip or the 'Eight' MV. It was the opening number to The Golden Hour concert. I flew all the way from the U.S. to watch this concert in Korea after only having discovered her a little over a year ago. It was PHENOMENAL!! I promise you won't regret watching this one and getting to know her more. I'm so glad you are already able to pick up those nuances of her voice and her ability to deliver the emotions of the songs. There is plenty more to discover about her. Her singer-songwriter abilities are outstanding and she is such a humble, sincere and kind human being. On top of that she is an amazing and successful actress as well.

thank you :) -this is a B-side from her last album, Lilac (the singles are Celebrity, Lilac, and Coin). So yes, this is not a superhit, but more like a "hidden" hit. Ppl love My Sea bcs the lyrics is so deep and so theurapetic (abt self-search) -just want to reiterate this : its so difficult to be standing there (to book 2 night concert in main stadium, 45.000 x 2 audiences) as female soloist. Moreover (like you said) as a pure female soloist in her 14th year career.... She's so special, S.Korea music dont have any case like IU in like ... forever maybe? XD -IU is more like a "people's diva" than a "music festival diva". Yes, she's very good in live, but its better if you arent just looking for her vocal technique/ quality. She's known with her special tone, emotional delivery, and sincerity. More of a super indie diva than a diva from a music conservatory ...
