One of my favourite ducks, hard to believe an animal in uk can be so colourful, we have a lot of wild animals with drab colours. Thumbs up to your patience to get good shots.❤

I couldn't believe what I saw the first time I witnessed a mandarin duck on a drab grey walk. I'd never seen such colour on an animal outside a zoo. I googled something like 'orange duck' and found what they were. Been fascinated since.

There is a population of these near where I live in the south west of England. They originally escaped a nearby duck pond and now nest in the trees along the river; they've been there for about 30 years I guess.
