Thank you for the videos! One tip for the rattling: Believe it or not, close the drain in the sink and put some water in there. Most of the rattling comes up from the pipes used for the drain. It reduces it by more than 50%. Sometimes 70%.

When I take a room for one a Couple of napkins at the door jam then close the door and latch closed will stop that rattle

Yes, I always sleep with ear plugs. Didn't make a big difference here though.

Putting the plug in the sink, also in a roomette be for you put the bed down put napkins between the toilet seat and the lid will help also

I used points so I didn't pay anything. Cash fares vary widely depending on the season. Meals are included if you are in sleeper class. Economy passengers need to buy from a snack bar. There is no WiFi. There are showers for sleeper passengers. I slept OK with noise, it was more the shaking the kept me awake but I got used to it.
