My SECOND Lumpectomy Surgery--And Will I Need Chemo?!? | Cancer With Cancer ♋️ 🎀

Just a few weeks after my first lumpectomy, I'm headed back into surgery. Not looking forward to having to go through the healing process again but I am ready to do what I need to do. Plus, I finally have an answer as to whether I will go through chemo treatment or not.

I consider it, but I know what the comments would've looked like because I chose to treat my breast cancer holistically under the care of a holistic doctor. I'm in year five cancer free. I took my treatment and decisions in my own hands. They didn't like it, but I'm the only one who has to live with the decision; good outcome or bad.

Had my lumpectomy on May 19, onco test was an 8 so no chemo have the chek 2 gene, have had colon cancer 4 1/2 years ago. Ill start radiation in a week. i hope everything goes well for you. sending my love and prayers your way

Did your doc recommend extra radiation over surgery again? Did they give you an option?

Radiation wasn't an option at that point, as they want to have clear margins around the tumor area to make sure they've gotten as much cancer positive tissue as possible before moving onto other stages.

What we’re your onco results? Mine was high, so did 4 rounds of chemo.

Idk. I watch quite a few end of life vlogs. Well sadly they end up being end of life. Seems like initially they are not aggressive enough. I don't know what your situation is but I would check to see if a double masectomy and some lymph node removal will give you your best chance. Not of saving your breast but your life I mean. Praying for full recovery

May I ask you a question…when they had to go back for second surgery did they may any corrections to the reduced and lifted breast? Yours was the only video that discussed having to go back after the 2nd pathology report so I really appreciate that you shared that. I hope you are doing well.

Thank you for asking! No, they didn't adjust the other breast. However my plastic surgeon did his best to keep them as even sized as he could. He did a wonderful job.

Hi,I had a lumpectomy in Feb and 5 months later I have to have 2nd lumpectomy because they found another papiloma.The whole thing is very stressful.
