its seems similar to boxing with how clinching happens as soon as one fighter doesnt want to take hits and it turns into trying to take the other down and take hot shots

Bro how does someone get into this sport? It looks sick
@HungarianWarHorse2 ай бұрын
@rubbahfruit find a club near you, start with soft kit training. Often groups will have loner gear for you to try out. Then save your money and train your strength and cardio. Google Knight Finder and go to the Armoredcombatsports website to find a group near you 😎👍

Sometimes I wonder whether those weapons are more of a hinderance than a help.

As cool as it is, it has nothing to do with "real knights"
@HungarianWarHorse2 ай бұрын
@allmachtsdaggl5109 I get these comments all the time and it boils down to this; either ban trusting attacks or use rubber weapons. Either way "real knights" kill eachother and that doesnt make for a good sport
@HungarianWarHorse2 ай бұрын
@allmachtsdaggl5109 if you want realism just imagine all those punches in the clinch are daggers to the openings in the armor
@allmachtsdaggl51092 ай бұрын
@@HungarianWarHorseFor Realism just do Hema, we have Harnischfechten. Also I am not attacking your sport, it's just the claim of "real knight fight". I spar with Buhurt guys, fight in this system and it is great fun and VERY exhausting. So no disrespect.

@allmachtsdaggl5109 problem with harness fencing is the rubber weapons dont give you the real weight of the weapons and it still relies on the honor system of calling when you got hit. This is tournament fighting, something that was done by the knights back in the day to keep their skills sharp. Obviously somethings have been changed for modern times, but its very much real fighting between armored opponents
