Thank you so much for shouting me out! I appreciate the advice in this video, as it definitely gives me good ideas to help get more traction to my channel! Didn’t know that having my videos put out on the same day helps the algorithm put me across more people’s pages, since I pretty much post more or less than a week after a video!

Man all very good tips Allen! Some of these I try to stick to and others I wish I knew when I started my channel. My biggest enemy is time and actualy being able to put in the effort of creating the content. 6 days of work and real life gets in the way a lot. I try to focus by making piles of to do content or little notes to remind myself of things. I need to add some of your tips to a whiteboard and leave it where I can see it all the time! Great video Allen!!!👍

One thing that really helped my channel grow was making some shorts for KZbin. I just take some of my older videos and cut them up and then add an engaging voice over. Some of my shorts have thousands of views and I always include a link to the original, long format video. Every once in a while someone subscribes because of this. Another productive suggestion I heard was to use cross promotion. I belong to a few Facebook comic groups and I post a link when it's appropriate. Others use Instagram or Snapchat or other forms of social media. Lastly, the BEST piece of advice I ever heard was to not give up and to expect that your first 100 (!) videos will probably not be very good. I didn't believe this when I started, but I cringe at how bad some of my early videos were. Having said that, I learned from EVERY one of them. Hope this info was helpful. Thanks for everything, Alan!!!

Based on your expertise, why do you have less than 4500 subscribers when other comic content creators have subscriber numbers that are significantly higher than you? I am trying to understand this. Many of these comic content creators also do not produce as much content as you. Some of these content creators have actually grown quite significantly in the last 12-18 months (e.g. Mind-Hunter Comics, Automatic Comics, Swagglehaus, Mighty Comics and Collectibles).

Quality content and time. My content for the most part isn't as good as theirs. They do a better job of editing and producing their content. Also, I made the mistake of saying things the youtube gods didn't like, it meant shadow bans and loss of subs. Those channels are older than mine too. Charisma is another thing I can look at a channel and tell whether they will be successful or not. I really don't see myself as having the charisma they do. I know my weaknesses.
