All cool books. I think the sale prices are reflecting the market in general.

The Navy Special Edition was one of several comics used to improve literacy of draftees. The US was taking so many men into the military it included quite a few who few with limited reading skills.

Popular Teen-Agers 15, one issue before your video mention, sold in 2024 in 7.0 for $5,040, and in 8.0 for $12,000. The cool LBCole covers sell at a premium and #16 is incredibly rare as well as very cool with the Jealous motif.

I didn't realize that they sell for that high. I was picking them up for around $300-500 range in mid grades so figured around $1000+ for 7.0

I was guessing $3000-3500 for the Frankenstein Comics #1. It was a good deal in the condition it was in. A friend who collects them was going to bid on it but he got distracted while the auction was going on. He was planning on bidding to $2500 on it. His failure to bid is someone else’s gain.

I can’t get over how a romance comic can garner that much??? Unreal. I passed on tons of these in the 1980’s My bad
