Hey there! Don't give up, you will definitely get better. Try to look at videos that give more general building and decoration advice and try to apply that stuff to your build. It also helped me in the passed to basically just copy a build from youtube, and then living in it for a bit, and then start adapting things to my own liking (like add a balcony, remove some walls, or add a room, whatever, you know?). Just keep experimenting a lot with building, and you'll notice you WILL improve. Just soak up tips of thought processes of builders as well as the actual tricks they use to create certain things. And don't be affraid to try different things. Even looking up real life buildings and using that as inspiration can be very helpfull. Good luck builder! May your hammer build epic halls and mighty castles!

Scripting tends to add more natural flow while getting the points you want to discuss taken care of. As you've shown, it's possible to write in natural speech patterns and entertainment that doesn't rely on spur of the moment. I find that separating a script into segments to record in one day helps a lot with redoing things. You can do many takes for each part and choose which to do. Tip: a granny smith apple and a glass of fresh water can help you balance and remove mouth noises during recording. The pH of the apple's juices helps with the stickiness in your mouth most of the time. I struggle with a cheap mic, so I use this whenever I need to. Also, your production, while simple in style, must take ages. I commend you for taking the time. What programs do you use? I'm at a loss for where to even start to make my own designs for inclusion during editing. No idea what to search or look for on the internet to learn.
@9byte
@9byte 7 ай бұрын
Well said! @@Immanis_Vir Yeah I cant do a script without a glass of water. I feel that. I have a condition that effects my throat so it would be nice to have something besides water to help which only goes so far. I'll have to try the apple thing. I use final cut pro for my editing. I would recommend this or adobe premiere once you've tried out a cheaper program and have gotten used to the basics(trimming, default transitions, basic text, etc.) and have decided that editing is something you want to get into. For me I use a large library that ive built up over the years of music, pngs, gifs, sound effects etc. I also use music licensing websites, graphics licensing websites and I take notes on editing whenever I can. From successful youtubers or even movies or tv. After awhile you see things everyday that you want to try yourself and that's when editing really gets fun. Hope this helps!

This is the most magnificent castle I’ve seen in Valheim. You really have a gift, and I appreciate the research! I’m not sure why people get so bent out of shape about mods and copying and pasting. It’s still YOUR design, and those mega builds would take sooo much longer without using the copy paste feature. Who has time for that? I love the build. It’s so detailed! I’m going to have to watch the video again a few times just to be able to take it all in. 🧡
@9byte
@9byte 8 ай бұрын
Too kind! Thank you! Couldn't agree more. Its takes a long time to even learn how to use these building mods.. not to mention like you said, the time it saves is insane. And then there's is the fact that you are not just copying something and using it again.. you are created a unified body of work that uses the same visual design language throughout.

I'm pretty sure Ninebyte used the Infinity Hammer mod for this (as it's also listed in the description) which allows you to copy any object you see in the world with a modded hammer (which means he copied the mossy stones from a ruin in the Black Forest biome), and if you look at the Nexus page for that mod, there's a tutorial that explains how it's possible to rotate on different axis other than Z, so that's probably what he did. :)

I don't know how it'll work but i have an idea for instances. What about a tool that can merge instances with pieces, just like the tool you used to copy pieces. This accured to me when i first saw a Sealed Tower, it had to be at least 5k instances because of the pieces that were visible but it counted as nearly none.

Me and another creator have been wondering if this was possible for some time now. Taking a piece of a build and locking it down into one instance that cant be edited instead of every individual piece. At the moment we have not found a fix but some day I hope for this to be possible.

I have to admit I was *slightly* disappointed by the copy-pasting, but I'm honestly so blown away by what you're able to achieve regardless. Also I think this is the most detailed building I've ever seen in Valheim.

These are cool, But i feel It loses a lot of what makes is awesome when you use commands to place things & don't build them organically... It's still cool, don't get me wrong, but it loses something...

It’s a game architecture video to teach how to make stuff and so. It aint so difficult to do on survival tho, its not like its the big deal its just farming like crazy and doing platforms to buil. Also there is nothing wrong on using creative for architecture purposes if you are not planning on passing the game or you already did.
@xSTONYTARKx
@xSTONYTARKx Ай бұрын
Why don't you try to build something that comes even close to as epic as this in creative, before throwing statements like that out there. You clearly haven't the foggiest idea how much effort goes into builds like these. Farming is just an extra step that has nothing to do with making a build like this.

@@Didoblero19Wait it is possible to build like this in normal game? I mean you don't need no mods for structual strengh? I tried building tower like those in dark forrest and I can't say I was very succesfull 😅 This castle looks magnificent but I thought it's not possible to build like this in normal game or I lack structual strengh knowledge?

watched 1.30 and I am already in love. person who aknowledges mediavel defences that is truly beutiful OH MY GOSH. this is beutiful. I love it CRENELATIONS and Mechicolations. love it all. only thing it should have 3 gate on the turn up right after the first gate, because that whould make the attacking total ass. cant really turn battle ram in that small space and walls all around so it whould be just suicidal.
