You can place the station improvements and then break the work station. That’s what I did to put some rune tables down, then broke the galdr table. Upgrades will stay there.

Very true. Didn't think of that lol. Keeping them hidden does spawn proof the area from enemies though. So there is one benefit.

So epic and inspiring!! Makes me wanna jump back in build... and makes me wish Valheim was an MMO so I can interact with this in-world!! I do like the new style of video as well, however I would appreciate you just walking through the building at the end, just to get a feel for how the whole thing feels as a character. @@9byte I assumed it was some infinity hammer trickery, it’s such a cool effect, would love to learn how to do it (though I’m not much of a builder!). And that’s also the answer to your last question 😂😂😂 I particularly suck at roofs, my brain cannot fathom the mathematics of an overhanging roof for some reason 😂🙈 I’ve got some vid ideas I’m slowly working on though, much slower than your pace, but again, I’ve found a pace that’s sustainable for me, and I’m really glad you made the YT grind a bit easier for yourself as it can sometimes just be too much! :)

@@JellyJamBoyGaming Roofs are tricky in Valheim for sure so you aren't alone there. If you do end up building more I'd be happy to share some of my secrets if you need them. Dm me on Discord anytime. But yeah I feel that. I took some time off to restructure things and come up with some ideas that will be a more sustainable pace overall. Way less unused footage and wasted time getting shots that I dont even need(but still have to go through later). Initially the idea came from you on one of my community posts so I have you to thank. Thank you sir.

I’ll share my most recent build with you and see if I can get some feedback, I’m happy with the structure but the damn roof is just so basic haha and with the format, that was all you man, I just told you what happened to me from experience, I burnt the hell out from trying formats that simply weren’t sustainable for me, the most ironic thing was the videos that take me the least amount of time to make (guides and standalone videos rather than series) did the best, so the universe was telling me to work smarter not harder 😂

Maybe a /seam/ or a /joint/ instead of crease? and perhaps /overflow/ wood piles? Either way, I like the new format. How are you building so near to the worldspawn and do those esthetic bonfires prevent smoke from rising through the chimney?

Thanks for the input. Infinity Hammer mod has a feature to build anywhere you want... and I dont think the stone hearth smoke makes it to the top of those tall chimneys though so I used the height of the chimney for the bonfire detail instead and placed a campfire in the top of both of the chimneys so they have smoke coming out.

Nice, but how do you get the anvil and the bucket to place so close together? Every time I get them within 2 feet of each other they go red... same with many other pieces.

Press f5 while in a world. Type and press enter on devcomands to be able to use cheats. spawn item id. Thats the easy answer. Let me know if you need more.

Infinity Hammer mod has a function that allows you to build anywhere. That's the short answer if you need the long answer let me know.

@@9byte The issue I ran into when I tried infinity hammer is that it had caused some of my other mods to not work, and I don't know if that's just an issue with which mods load in what order, and if it is I have no clue how to change that, otherwise I'm stumped just in general lol, so I'd love to use Infinity Hammer otherwise

@@xLeeH1 Ah I see. Have you tried the old "take every mod out and put them back in one at a time with the new mod" to see which ones are interfering? Cause you might be able to just get rid of like one mod if you are lucky.

@@9byte I may just have to try that, but unfortunately it might mean I'll have to sacrifice some of the mods that give me more building blocks and styles, at least one of those mods doesn't work when I have Infinity Hammer enabled, so I have a feeling that's the one that I'd have to get rid of if I used Infinity Hammer, and I've already built a lot of stuff using that mod. I might be s.o.l. if that's the case. It's not the end of the world though if I can't use Infinity Hammer tho 👍

Yeah Fable 2 was SICK. Maybe you could grab it on the next steam sale or something? Obviously I'm biased but I would absolutely recommend giving this a try. Its like Fable vibes visually but more building and survival based in terms of how it plays.

​@@XPKun I think you are a bit confused friend let me try to help you. Shift mouse wheel is for scaling which only works on some items. and using any of the three pipettes would be irrelevant here because you can just select the coal pile from the menus (or type hammer coal_pile into the console and it will put it directly there), then you simply use the nudge feature within infinity hammer to nudge down into the ground. If nudge is not bound you will need to decide which keys you want to bind to for easy use.

why are you complicating and making unfeasible/unrealistic builds? like nobody would ever make something like this especially 99.9% of the player base that doesn't use any mods, these builds are mute in the eyes of said player base

Interesting opinion. Why do you think is an unrealistic build? Everything in this video can be done without mods except one staircase going down into the workshop. As for why I built this.. This video is just meant to inspire and to help people get to the point where they can build better. and entertain a bit of course.

@@9byte what about the mistlands sword going through the building? i mean i appreciate and respect you dedication and creativity/imagination but usually build videos do way better when they are realistic and achievable w/o mods, just take a look at the likes of vetlive, simple timelapsed progression of builds with decoration examples and a small montage of the finished build. and again i respect your take and angle on everything you do but mods and unrealistically complex builds don't get the ball rolling for a lot of people.

Have you ever tried using the standard door to create walls with depth? You can get 3 snap points using the door. And it keeps everything nice and aligned. Also allows have the ‘rough’ or ‘smooth’ side always out depending on the look you want.

How are you building inside the restricted spawn zone? Any time I tried building that close, even with the build in dungeon mod I could never build or do anything within the spawn location.

So fun fact roofs count like stone if attach the iron bars directly to the roof it won’t expire same with the wood, you just have to make sure your actually attaching to the roof and not anything else
