I have classic length hair (butt length) and I never do anything special with it. Just wash, condition twice, use the LOC method (I have wavy, almost curly hair) and sometimes I use an oil rinse on the ends after my shampoo and before my conditioner. Oil rinses are really nice. You just use some oil, put it on freshly washed hair (only the ends), then rinse and apply your favorite conditioner(s).

fact is henna makes hair dry. it condition hair... but should not be used for thin hair strands type.. it is good for thick hair.... I also tried but it is so dring out my hair. instead of that use bringraj herb and infuse it with oils... it is good for hair... because It is called ruler of hair...

She's right about this being popular in India, oiling your hair is a very normal, every girl kinda thing to do. most women wear oil in their hair everyday and girls do to for school, like its part of their uniform to oil and fold their hair twice from two braids before tying it.

How do you manage to remove the oils from your hair, especially with delicate hair washes such as ayurvedic herbs? I sometimes have a hard time removing all the oils with shampoo - I use natural and non aggressive products. This problem makes it really hard for me to enjoy oiling my scalp and hair.

i heavy oil my hair once a week , when i wash it i start with pouring water all over it and finger combing it and massaging it for a while with just water, then i add shampoo, i get all the oils out shampooing it twice . i hope this helps and sorry for my bad English im moroccan
@ohowspiffy
@ohowspiffy 8 жыл бұрын
It might seem counterintuitive but using conditioner first to smooth and rinse out the excess oil helps a lot. The whole like dissolves like is how I can describe it. Plus, even if you don't oil your hair, conditioner before shampoo can prevent you from over drying when washing. I hope that helps and makes sense :)

How do you wash the oil out so your hair doesn't look greasy afterwards? I really think that this oil method is very good but if you supply the scalp with oil regulary it will reduce the own oil production because it isn't needed anymore and I'm not sure how I feel about that ^^'. Anyway could you maybe make a video about the way you rinse your hair after applying the oil? Thank you for sharing your secrets with us ;)

To much oil on hair makes your hair bonds weaker and clog up you hair follicles wich can actually make it harder for your hair to grow to make hair grow massage your hair with just water for 10 minutes ;) I'm a hairdresser my hair is down to my knees and only 4 years ago my hair was cut into a bob

Steph, I was wondering: To oil roots, is it better to have them wet or dry? I'm asking bc I always have known that roots have to be wet, otherwise on the long time passing oil can dry roots instead of nourish them. Thanks a lot!

Currently, I pre-condition my hair using coconut oil. I leave it in for a few hours before washing it out. I shampoo using "Free And Clear Medicated Anti-dandruff Shampoo For Sensitive Skin" I use "Not Your Mother's Naturals Coconut Milk And African Marula Tree Oil High Moisture Conditioner" after each time I shampoo.
