My Secret Weapon To Battling Florida's Invasive Python Problem. Today moose and I are heading out to python island to see if we can catch a monster python. Florida has a big problem with pythons but I have a secret weapon and that's Moose and soon to be Otto. These two dogs can sniff out these pythons and allow me to catch way more pythons than I have ever caught in the past.

If those snakes are not yet in North Carolina I've heard they soon will be. They are so prolific and they're very hard to find. Perhaps moose and other dogs are the answer as the snakes can be found without being seen. I'm guessing bloodhounds could also be trained to track pythons. Props to moose, I didn't know they were using dogs to hunt them.

These snakes have been out there a long time. 50 years ago I was with my dad and uncle running around in Area 3A, we thru a track on our halftrack. So my dad went back to get the track, and then he starts yelling for the shotgun, he seen this snake cross the track path. Biggest snake he ever seen, wasn't a rattle snake wasn't a moccasin. He didn't know what it was. I was only 5yrs old at the time, so it scared the hibby jibbys out of me, I didn't leave the deck of that buggy til we got back to camp in the holy lands. lol
