I just want to say I very much appreciate you showing us the messier side of the music writing process. I feel like with a lot of these KZbin tutorials, a lot of musicians edit the video to make it seem like they just spin gold out of their hands with little to no trial and error, when my experience practicing riffs and recording is so much more in line with you at the beginning of your video. It's the kind of thing that makes me feel inadequate, but this was a great reminder how normal it is to go through. And the resulting track had me bobbing my head! More players should just be honest and show that part of their process. There is sketching and rough drafts in all forms of art. Thank you for the inspiration to keep at it! Recent subscriber, love the channel!

Awesome stuff. Kinda crazy how much texture the univibe tone adds in the chorus. Really transforms the song.

Dude. DUDE. Why did I never think to just put the damn metronome or a basic drum track on and let it rip. Brilliant. You just changed my game.

Well this was fun! I wish I would have heard those pedals played using a 12-string multiscale baritone banjo though.

Btw, you can use the "Producer Kits" in Logic for the drums. Gives you the same drum sounds like Retro Rock, Brooklyn, etc. but it gives you a drum bus and a track for each piece of the kit. So you can mix kick, snare, overheads, etc. with your own custom processing. You can also double click the drum kit in the upper left corner of Logic's UI and change out each individual piece of the kit and adjust things like dampening, gain, etc. All this really opened up Logic Drummer for me.

Nice little refresher for me….I dropped Logic after 9, and went full on Abelton with my own playing drums on pads, or using Adductive Drums. But seeing the drums in Logic X, which I have and the work flow…def gonna do some work again in Logic X. I’m good with most stuff, but drums programming can be a sore point and usually simple but following the bass is what I want. So close to breaking down and getting a digital midi kit, but gonna give this a try! Amp wise using a Sky King mic up or on a DI. Also sometimes a drip era Bassman.

Bondi could really use some heavier promotion in the States.Living in NY, not much on the international market escapes my attention, but somehow Bondi remain unfamiliar to many, across all demographics.This seems to include many in the actual sales business, which does surprise me given how long they've been around.

You gotta try the Sick As on bass. Has the perfect mid bump for my bass and enough low end with the active eq. Great final track and cool idea to film the process!

Man this process is sick! Quick question as far as your guitar amp and recording goes, did you just track everything DI with an amp sim / no mics on amps? Love that sound!
@LivingroomGearDemos
@LivingroomGearDemos 8 ай бұрын
Most of it was the Milkman The Amp Stereo which has a built in cab sim. The Friedman went to a Two Notes Torpedo Live. So both of those just went straight to my audio interface. No mics used.

Great! Who do you work with odd time signatures? 4/4 is very standard but say you want a 7/8 and 3/4 song. King gizzard Proggy.
