I think you are very brave for making this video honey. I also have a service dog for mobility. My sweet baby is a 135 pound Great Pyrenees. I've noticed that people tend to stay away since he is SOOOOOO big . ....lololololo. People staying away really helps my anxiety as well. Praying for you honey. Thanks for your wonderful videos. I have a fainting disorder, and with having ptsd and anxiety, it's awfulllll 😭🤣 I have a sd for non diabetic blood sugar changes, blood pressure changes, fainting disorder (been told it could be POTS or something else), pstd, behavior interruption, psychosis, depression, anxiety, and mobility assistance (^all have been prof. Diagnosed^) My brother is getting a multipurpose sd as well for anxiety, fainting disorder, and blood pressure changes, and I know that's something he's going to struggle with because it is social anxiety They're great dogs, though, and so incredibly gifted to be able to do what they do for us

Your video made sense. Do you know if DPT helps with lower ring blood pressure? I was thinking about training my SD to do it for that reason but then I heard people say they use it when they need to reise their blood pressure like to stop from fainting so I didn’t know if it could do either one

So DPT is what calms your nervous system down. Typically elevated levels are a sign of distress, which is what causes that decrease in blood pressure. DPT really just helps your body regulate everything so it may help with lowering and raising depending on the cause.

Do you have any advice on dealing with sound sensitivity, I’m currently working on that with my dog. Not sound in general just specific types high frequency things usually it seems to be more of a pitch not volume thing because she’s fine around loud noises in general.

There are different ways to address this. Usually desensitization training. I'm sure there's some videos on it that can explain it better. Basically you provide the stimulus/ noise and then reward and praise the dog for focusing or staying calm. You can also do this outside of a training session where say your dog is napping or you're just relaxing and play noises like this just to get them used to it. You want a variety of noises to encompass anything you might hear in your environment. The more they get used to it the more you want to train just ignoring the noise all together and providing tasks. If you encounter a noise that starts to bother them, just praise and treat when they're calm. I've had that happen sometimes with things like a jackhammer outside or something I'd never really planned for. Just really enforcing that we're okay, there's no need to worry, and to continue working as best we can. Heavily reward them and give them positive experiences with the noise.

I have depression, anxiety and autism, I’ve had many mental breakdowns at home and out in Public, I’m currently working on training my dog, but I’m afraid I don’t have enough of a condition to have a service dog, I rly think he would help but idk if I do, I skin pick on my fingers and nail bite, I’m constantly leg bouncing and get overwhelmed constantly and have breakdowns, what do you think?
