I love that you said Groovy! I was 18 in 1970, so finished growing up during that time - not that I have ever grown up!

Just saying ... I LOVE all of your videos, I watch them over and over, I've just watched your sewing area tour. I was delighted to see this April 19 makes when I got up this morning. I love your style too. Keep on posting. I'm a learner and I'm 56 years old, so I grew up in the seventies and can relate to all of your lovely makes ... Like the beautiful skirt with the fancy buttons. Xxx

I made the 70's skirt pattern in the 70's. I still have it ,I think it now fits one leg.You really do have to check sizing when making vintage patterns. Loved your makes.Ive been looking for an easy jacket pattern so thanks for that.

Aww those flower buttons are soooo cute! Defo could not see the seam on the green spotty dress - well done you! I agree with you on the pattern tracing, if it's too much I'll cut, if not I'll trace x

Glad I'm not the only one who hates lots of tracing! And glad you like the buttons too- they are so sparkly! :)

That pattermatching is superbe! I didn't even noticed until you mentioned it! I really like your makes, they're perfect for spring😊. I think I'd rather trace than print because when printing the paper is very thick and it's more difficult to cut out the fabric and I have less control.

Lovely makes, Rosa! Love the buttons on the skirt and jacket. Your pattern matching on the beautiful😍 green dress is spot on!😂

Adorable skirt from the 70's, I'm there with you on the style of the 70's--groovy--lol Excellent job on the green dress and matching dots.

Lovely makes! You cannot see that seam at all, so well done with the pattern matching 👍. I usually trace but same as you for bigger patterns I use Netprinter also. I have cut into the original pattern on some of my patterns if I am 100% sure that size will fit me and I'm not going to be making it for anyone else. Happy sewing 😘

Love your solina dress 💚 I have the fabric for mine, I just haven’t gotten around to tracing it all out! Maybe I will consider printing the copy shop pattern too ☺️ great video! Beautiful makes as always

Hey Rosa! Loving your projects and ever excited when I see your upload!💞 I love the dusty rose color of your Jacket! Okay, I may have to get that book 😊, I probably shouldn't but that dress looks beautiful! I'm 100% pattern shop print girl for detailed patterns, and would trace off simpler ones!

Hi Rosa, gorgeous makes as usual and I'm loving your jacket with that fab pink cord 💕. I'm a fan of Named Patterns and have the Sade blouse pattern but just need to get it cut out and sewn....one day 😉😁😘

Fantastic pattern matching on the spots! That green colour looks amazing on you, Rosa. I really wanted to see your New Look dress without the cardigan over the top, as I have that pattern and haven't used it. I'll check your Instagram to see if you've got a pic of it on there! 🤓

The sweater you're wearing with your crepe skirt is lovely -- with the scalloped hem. Do you know of an online shop that sells jersey fabrics AND matching ribbing? The green polka dot dress IS perfectly matched in front, couldn't tell there was a seam at all! Why did they put a seam down the front bodice do you think?

Haha, I'm sitting here hand-stitching and thinking how much I hate it! So no jacket for me. :)

hi Rosa, always look forward to your videos, your makes are always fabulous. I'm with you on the pattern front, I hate printing loads of pages and spending all night sticking them together! I avoided puff patterns before copy shop patterns came along- I too use net print. The Mccalls pattern 7476, I noticed you lined it, does the pattern call for it to be lined? or could I get away without lining it?
@Sewn5 жыл бұрын
Hello! Aw thanks for your lovely comment. I also used to avoid PDFs for that exact reason. I actually didn't line the McCalls cardigan, its just got a different texture on the reverse which works quite well. x
