Hi Justine, My name is Tobenna Winston. I'm a college graduate from Nigeria in Africa. I'm an aspiring fashion designer/ businessman. I recently graduated with a major in geology, so you might be guessing why fashion designing right? Honestly, I just decided to pursue my dreams and harness the creativity given to me by God. Prior to the last few weeks, I had zero formal knowledge about fashion design and very raw knowledge about fashion illustration. I could only draw shirts with some graphics but never with bodies ( that always scared me and challenged my creativity). Your youtube videos have been of immense help to me ( you have no idea ). Its like you took me for a walk in a park of fashion design and Illustration. I am very sure I'm not the only one impacted by your tutorials. I personally and sincerely want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the videos and tutorials you have been putting up. I know its not easy, yet you do it because its your passion. That inspires me a whole lot. May God continue to bless you, and no harm will ever come to you. This world needs more people like you. Keep up the good work.

Bonjour Justine. I'm not in the fashion industry - I work in the leisure one. I find your videos so helpful and interesting as I love learning about how styles have evolved. It's fascinating to hear about the history, the cut, fabric and ethics in producing garments. If nothing else, your videos are helping to raise an awareness in me about the value of haute couture and mainstream fashion houses. Keep the educational videos about styles and production coming! Merci!

I was really nervous, because I want to start studying fashion design next year, but I never really sewed before and my mom told me that it's not possible to catch up with the learning if you don't have years of experience. Then I started watching videos of fashion students on KZbin and more than 1/3 of them did not have any experience too, but they could still catch up and do some fascinating work. Your channel is one of my favorites atm and it's nice to hear that you didn't sew before studying too and still got really successful. 😊That really gives me hope that I can make it in the fashion industry.

I've heard of a lot of extremely successful people in all kinds of businesses that were all self taught and even school drop outs but are the best in their kind of business. So those kinds of thoughts are invalid completely. You only need the passion and willingness to learn.

Hey Justine! Great video. To support your point, no couture houses are usually not so profitable: their business model depends on the prestige the couture line gives to the brand, but the real money is in the accessories like eyeglasses, perfumes, beauty products etc. one exception, is Balmain (which is a profitable house, which has very little side ventures, and the bulk of the revenue is coming from the clothes). Just read an article in the Economist about that today.

Salt fields, bulls, flamingos, white horses. I feel a mood board coming up and maybe a 2019 lookbook? I hope! I think that could make a really cool, original line inspired by your maybe not-so-inspiring (according to you) homeland. Salt fields could inspire the boundaries and the colors could come from all three. All four sound incredibly inspiring to me together! Again, much love to you! I’m sure some days its just work to put together a youtube video but as you can tell from all your followers, we look forward to and love your work and sharing!

My impressions of your style: dramatic, uncomplicated, fresh. I wanted to say natural, but it seems like a clash with dramatic. Haha. So instead fresh. Really appreciate your sensitizing us to the ethics of fashion. I felt so sad after the disaster in Bangladesh. It made think more about what I buy and if I really need something new. The result is that I am more interested in remodeling existing garments or sewing from scratch now. Thank you for your informative videos and your calm, soothing presentation style. Love it all! 💐💐

I truly enjoy your videos. Good information, lots of detail, all dispensed in a most pleasing manner. Thank you for the links you provide in each segment. I was wondering if you could add one (or two!) more things to the list: the colour/make of your lipstick and nail polish!! Your nails are always so beautiful. I especially love the subdued palette you are wearing in this video - you've found your perfect 'nude lip'. Thank you, again for posting these - I always watch to the end :)

Justine, my first three adjectives that describe you are beautiful, brainy and elegant. Many more come to mind as I view your intelligent and engaging presentation. Love the Camarque salt and all. “The White Stallion “, a wonderful award winning film was shot there. Visited it in 2013 and found it very neat.

Only negative point of this video is I watched it several years too late. I would love to be a fashion designer but it was almost impossible when i was younger, so I ended up studying very different careers. Maybe now I can have a try for my own clothes and family's, just for the sake of doing something I always liked but never had the chance to do.

Thank you for answering my questions. Sorry about the 'most difficult' one hehehe. The four adjectives you chose to describe your style are totally how I describe mine as well. It feels good to have something in common with someone you admire. (Yes, I admire you.) I learned so much by the choice of questions you chose for the video and the order in which you answered. Very inspiring video! On an unrelated note, what are you wearing on your lips? I am loving that shade! Love, A. xx

There are some companies who style you and send the clothes through the mail. On youtube I have seen a lot of cute things that looked good on the costumers using the service. You keep what you want and only pay for that and send back the rest. You do pay for a $25 stylist fee but it may help you avoid stores and hours looking around online or on stores which can be frustrating. You have a personal stylist who does all that for you. They offer free shipping and free returns. It's something you could try a couple of months and see how you like it.

Hello Justine, Very good Q &A video, thank you for your efforts! Always a pleasure listening to your videos 😊 I have been working in the hvac (air conditioning) industry. However my dream has always been to work in fashion :) I want to start from somewhere but all vacancies I come across in fashion industry is always looking for experiences in fashion. Do you have any idea where I should look or what I should try? As a background information I am living in Belgium, I am Turkish and English speaking but I am learning French as well. (Language is another barrier for me to find a job in fashion in Belgium) Hope to hear from you, Best wishes, Idil
